Initiation of CME event observed on November 3, 2010: Multi-wavelength Perspective
One of the major unsolved problems in Solar Physics is that of CME
initiation. In this paper, we have studied the initiation of a flare associated
CME which occurred on 2010 November 03 using multi-wavelength observations
recorded by Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) on board Solar Dynamics
Observatory (SDO) and Reuven Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager
(RHESSI). We report an observation of an inflow structure initially in
304~{\AA} and in 1600~{\AA} images, a few seconds later. This inflow strucure
was detected as one of the legs of the CME. We also observed a non-thermal
compact source concurrent and near co-spatial with the brightening and movement
of the inflow structure. The appearance of this compact non-thermal source,
brightening and movement of the inflow structure and the subsequent outward
movement of the CME structure in the corona led us to conclude that the CME
initiation was caused by magnetic reconnection.Comment: 17 pages, 9 figures, Accepted for Publication in The Astrophysical

Development of CMOS monolithic pixel sensors with in-pixel correlated double sampling and fast readout for the ILC
This paper presents the design and results of detailed tests of a CMOS active
pixel chip for charged particle detection with in-pixel charge storage for
correlated double sampling and readout in rolling shutter mode at frequencies
up to 25 MHz. This detector is developed in the framework of R&D for the Vertex
Tracker for the International Linear Collider.Comment: 3 pages, 4 figures, to appear on the Conference Record of the 2007

La hora felipista del siglo XVIII: auge y ocaso de la nación flamenca en el ejército borbónico
This work studies the reasons of the preservation of the Flemish nation’s privileges in the Spanish Bourbon army during more than a hundred years after the dismemberment of the Spanish Monarchy in Europe. This paper underlines that the renewal of the Flemish privileges by king Philip V of Spain was a key factor of the regeneration project of the Spanish nobility during the Spanish War of Succession, in order to favour the most faithful families to the Bourbon party. Focusing on the XVIIIth century’s reforms against these privileges, it demonstrates that the enlightened military reformism also tried to tear down the Fillip V’s political heritage.
A Study of Monolithic CMOS Pixel Sensors Back-thinning and their Application for a Pixel Beam Telescope
This paper reports results on a detailed study of charge collection and
signal-to-noise performance of CMOS monolithic pixel sensors before and after
back-thinning and their application in a pixel beam telescope for the ALS 1.5
GeV beam test facility.Comment: 6 pages, one figure, to appear on the proceedings of the the Sixth
