    Human Pappilomavirus Genotype in Cervical Tissue of Patients with Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia (CIN) 1, CIN 2, and CIN 3

    Objectives: to determine the genotype of HPV in patients with precancerous lesions of cervical tissue.Materials and Methods: An observational study with cross sectional study of patients paraffin block CIN1, CIN2, CIN3 was conducted in Dr Soetomo Hospital. HPV DNA was extracted from paraffin blocks, then performed PCR and genotyping of HPV. The sample consisted of 28 patients with cervical tissue paraffin blocks CIN1, CIN2 and CIN3. Patients aged between 26-74 years (standard deviation 10,12).Results: HPV genotypes that infect patients with CIN1 were HPV16 and 18, CIN2 were HPV16 and 52 and CIN3 were HPV16, 67, and combined infection HPV16/67 and HPV52/67. HPV genotypes in a single infection were 26/28 (HPV16, HPV18, HPV52 and HPV67), and multiple infections were 2/28 (HPV16/67 and HPV52/67).Conclusion: The most dominant HPV genotypes infect patients with precancerous lesions of the cervix were HPV16, HPV67, HPV52, and HPV18

    Bottom Wall Construction of “Jodang” Trap Applied Selectively to Babylon Tiger (Babylonia Spirata) Snail Size

    The objective of this research was to obtain net mesh bottom wall construction of “jodang” trap that selective to babylon tiger snails size, i.e. only shell length of l < 4.27 cm approximately could pass through. There were 3 designs shapes of bottom wall construction tested, i.e. rectangular shape of 2.4 ´ 2.8 (cm) and 2 diamond shapes with net mesh size of 5,6 cm and primary hanging ratio of E1 = 0.7 and 0.5. The results showed that rectangular shape bottom wall trap construction was better than those two other constructions. Only 6.78% of snails with l ³ 4.27 cm could escape the rectangular shape bottom wall trap construction. Whereas 41.90% and 17.46% of snail shells with l ³ 4.27 cm could escape from both the diamond mesh bottom wall trap construction. According to selectivity curve, the rectangular shape bottom wall trap construction could retained snails with shells length of l ³ 4.33 cm. The two others retained shells length of l ³ 4.14 cm and l ³ 4.60 cm

    Shortening and mesh size of gillnet that operated by Tual fishermen are various. The purposes of this study were to determine the effectively of gillnet based on different shortening and mesh size and to estimate the catch diversity index of each mesh size. The study was conducted from April 6th-May 15th of 2012 in Tual waters. Results shown that gillnet with mesh size of 2.25” and shortening of 50% caught the most number of fish (74). It was followed by gillnet of 2.50”-50% (59), 2.50”-55% (31), 2.25”-55% (24), 2.25”-45% (19), 2.50”-45% (15), 3.00”-50% (15) and 3.00”-55% (6). The Shannon index rate of gillnet with mesh size of 2.25” was 1.8, 2.50” (1.9) and 3.00” (1.1). While the Sympson index rate of gillnet with mesh size of 2.25” was 0.2, 2.50” (0.3) and 3.00” (0.4)
