74 páginas. Maestría en Economía.Las cajas de ahorro y crédito popular tienen 60 años de existencia, dentro de los cuales han crecido de manera importante, teniendo presencia en todo el país. Sin embargo, no logran consolidarse dentro del sistema financiero mexicano; quien de manera tardía identificó la necesidad de regularlas, para lo cual ha propuesto y modificado algunas de sus leyes buscando adecuarlas a la estructura operativa y social de éstas. Lo anterior, ha ocasionado diferentes rupturas dentro del movimiento que ha debilitado al sector. Es muy relevante el papel que han tenido al incidir de manera positiva en la inclusión financiera, al acercar servicios a un sector no atendido por la banca comercial y proveerlo de servicios de ahorro y crédito principalmente. A sus 60 años han tenido grandes aciertos, pero están en un momento determinante para fortalecer su sector, asegurar su crecimiento y sustentabilidad; pero sobre todo mostrar que no buscan un fin lucrativo, reforzando sus principios cooperativistas

AuNx stabilization with interstitial nitrogen atoms: A Density Functional Theory Study

Researchers have been studying 4d and 5d Series Transition Metal Nitrides lately as a result of the experimental production of AuN, PtN, CuN. In this paper, we used the Density Functional Theory (DFT) implementing a pseudopotential plane-wave method to study the incorporation of nitrogen atoms in the face-centered cube (fcc) lattice of gold (Au). First, we took the fcc structure of gold, and gradually located the nitrogen atoms in tetrahedral (TH) and octahedral (OH) interstitial sites. AuN stabilized in: 2OH (30%), 4OH and 4TH (50%), 4OH - 2TH (close to the wurtzite structure) and 6TH (60%). This leads us to think that AuN behaves like a Transition Metal Nitride since the nitrogen atoms look for tetrahedral sites. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd

“ANALISIS POLITICO – ELECTORAL DE LA ELECCIÓN ORDINARIA MUNICIPAL DE TOLUCA, AÑO 2012, CON ENFASIS EN LA ACTUACIÓN DEL PRI MUNICIPAL”

El propósito de esta memoria es plasmar conocimientos y experiencias en la narrativa del proceso electoral Municipal de Toluca en el 2012 para detallar una serie de vivencias, hipótesis, teorías, o quizá, siendo más simplista, un listado de propuestas que a juicio particular serian de mucha utilidad política para futuros aspirantes a cargos de elección popular en el Municipio de Toluca, las cuales además de los aspectos que se presentan, se basa en experiencias adquiridas al participar en dicho proceso electoral. Pocos trabajos desarrollados para la titulación abordan el ámbito electoral municipal, su disminuida relevancia postelectoral, principalmente derivada del nivel de gobierno que se trata y de su relativa importancia socioeconómica, política y cultural en el contexto estatal o nacional; lo cual, lleva a descartarlo, como opción para los pasantes de las áreas sociales, ya sea porque quedan solamente como datos estadísticos o porque la probabilidad de elaborar un producto académico aceptable es nula. Cuando en 1996 se puso en marcha la pluralización del sistema de partidos políticos en el Estado de México, dando lugar a la elaboración de teorías político-electorales, que, sin demerito de su contenido científico, no se describían y no hacen referencia a sucesos o hechos materiales que los ilustren pragmáticamente, como si todos los lectores fueran peritos en la abstracción científica. Por eso aquí, al citar la palabra teoría, tenemos que dar a entender de lo que estamos hablando, esto es, en lo general un conocimiento especulativo puramente racional, independientemente de toda aplicación, y, no es más que una serie de hipótesis cuyas consecuencias se aplican a toda un ciencia o parte de ella

Metodología para Detección de Características Faciales con Fines de Reconocimiento de Emociones

Se cree que la detección de emociones podrá llevar a determinar el estado de _animo de una persona e incluso un posible fraude. La detección de rasgos faciales claves para la detección de una emoción son de fácil reconocimiento para los humanos, pero la dificultad crece cuando se realiza por medio de software. Por este motivo, la presente investigación aborda el problema de detección mediante varias técnicas, identificando una en especial basada en las proporciones _áureas la cual robustece la detección de rasgos faciales y por consiguiente la detección de la emoción; guardando siempre unas medidas de incertidumbre racionales.It is believed that the detection of emotions could lead to determine the mood of a person or even a possible fraud. The detection of key facial features to detect emotions are of easy recognition for humans, but the diffculty increases when is done by software. For this reason, this investigation addresses the problem of detection of emotions through several techniques, identifying one in particular based on the golden proportions, which strengthens the detection of facial features and therefore the detection of emotion, keeping rational measures of uncertainty

The Spectral Energy Distribution of Post-Starburst Galaxies in the NEWFIRM Medium-Band Survey: A Low Contribution from TP-AGB Stars

Stellar population synthesis (SPS) models are a key ingredient of many galaxy evolution studies. Unfortunately, the models are still poorly calibrated for certain stellar evolution stages. Of particular concern is the treatment of the thermally-pulsing asymptotic giant branch (TP-AGB) phase, as different implementations lead to systematic differences in derived galaxy properties. Post-starburst galaxies are a promising calibration sample, as TP-AGB stars are thought to be most prominently visible during this phase. Here, we use post-starburst galaxies in the NEWFIRM medium-band survey to assess different SPS models. The available photometry allows the selection of a homogeneous and well-defined sample of 62 post-starburst galaxies at 0.7<z<2.0, from which we construct a well-sampled composite spectral energy distribution (SED) over the range 1200-40 000 Angstrom. The SED is well-fit by the Bruzual & Charlot SPS models, while the Maraston models do not reproduce the rest-frame optical and near-infrared parts of the SED simultaneously. When the fitting is restricted to lambda < 6000 Angstrom, the Maraston models overpredict the near-infrared luminosity, implying that these models give too much weight to TP-AGB stars. Using the flexible SPS models by Conroy et al, and assuming solar metallicity, we find that the contribution of TP-AGB stars to the integrated SED is a factor of ~3 lower than predicted by the latest Padova TP-AGB models. Whether this is due to lower bolometric luminosities, shorter lifetimes, and/or heavy dust obscuration of TP-AGB stars remains to be addressed. Altogether, our data demand a low contribution from TP-AGB stars to the SED of post-starburst galaxies.Comment: Minor changes to match published version. The purpose of the work project is to develop an investment thesis of Home Serve. In the common part, an overview of the company covering its business model and financials is provided, followed by a study of the market. Then, four value creation strategies are presented as well as their impact on financials. In the Capital Structure section, a breakdown of the sources and uses is presented. Lastly, a returns and exit waterfall is provided, together with a judgement on the most suitable exit option. In the individual part, the investment thesis is developed profoundly, explaining the rationale for the acquisition of Home Serve as well as the buy-and build and the expansion to new markets strategies

Stretchable electronic platform for soft and smart contact lens applications

A stretchable platform with spherical-shaped electronics based on thermo- plastic polyurethane (TPU) is introduced for soft smart contact lenses. The low glass transition temperature of TPU, its relatively low hardness, and its proven biocompatibility (i.e., protection of exterior body wounds) fulfill the essential requirements for eye wearable devices. These requirements include optical transparency, conformal fitting, and flexibility comparable with soft contact lenses (e.g., hydrogel-based). Moreover, the viscoelastic nature of TPU allows planar structures to be thermoformed into spherical caps with a well-defined curvature (i.e., eye’s curvature at the cornea: 9 mm). Numerical modeling and experimental validation enable fine-tuning of the thermo - forming parameters and the optimization of strain-release patterns. Such tight control is proven necessary to achieve oxygen permeable, thin, nonde- velopable, and wrinkle-free contact lenses with integrated electronics (silicon die, radio-frequency antenna, and stretchable thin-film interconnections). This work paves the way toward fully autonomous smart contact lenses potentially for vision correction or sensing applications, among others

Identification of circulating miRNA profiles that distinguish malignant pleural mesothelioma from lung adenocarcinoma

Accurate diagnosis of malignant pleura mesothelioma (MPM) is challenging. Differential diagnosis of MPM versus lung adenocarcinoma (AD) is particularly difficult, yet clinically important since the two neoplasias call for different treatment approaches. Circulating miRNA-profiling to identify miRNAs that can be used to distinguish MPM from AD has not been reported. We conducted a wide screening study of miRNA profiles in serum pools of MPM patients (N = 11), AD patients (N = 36), and healthy subjects (N = 45) to identify non-invasive biomarkers for differential diagnosis of MPM and AD, using deep sequencing. Sequencing detected up to 300 known miRNAs and up to 25 novel miRNAs species in the serum samples. Among known miRNAs, 7 were upregulated in MPM and 12 were upregulated in AD compared to healthy controls. Of these, eight were distinctive for AD and three were unique for MPM. Direct comparison of the miRNA profiles for MPM and AD revealed differences in miRNA levels that could be useful for differential diagnosis. No differentially expressed novel miRNAs were found. Further bioinformatics analysis indicated that three upregulated miRNAs in MPM are associated with the p38 pathway. There are unique alterations in serum miRNAs in MPM and AD compared to healthy controls, as well as differences between MPM and AD profiles. Desarrollo de Estrategias Financieras Mediante el Análisis de los Estados Financieros 2019-2020 de MACROASEO SAS para el Crecimiento y Sostenibilidad

Establecer estrategias financieras que debe implementar el gerente de MACROASEO SAS con el fin de optimizar los recursos financieros y aumentar la sostenibilidad de la empresa.Descripción, gracias a la ley 1258 de 2008 en Colombia se permite la creación de Sociedades por Acciones Simplificadas (SAS), lo cual facilita la creación de micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas (MiPymes) en el país, en dónde, según cifras de Confecámaras, de este tipo de sociedades se encuentran constituidas 407.329, lo que equivale a 86,3% del total de las sociedades. El principal aporte de las MiPymes a la economía Colombiana radica en que representan más del 90% del sector productivo nacional y generan el 35% del PIB y el 80% del empleo, sin embargo, solo el 20% de las MiPymes sobreviven al tercer año y esto se debe principalmente a la falta de educación financiera que poseen los pequeños empresarios, la cual los lleva a tomar malas decisiones financieras como el sobreendeudamiento e inconvenientes con la administración de los recursos financieros, caso del cuál no está exenta la microempresa Macroaseo SAS radicada en la ciudad de Bogotá. Objetivo, debido a esto se busca establecer estrategias financieras, para la empresa Macroaseo SAS, que permita al gerente la toma de decisiones oportunas que lleve a optimizar los recursos financieros y aumentar la sostenibilidad de la empresa. Metodología, el enfoque de la investigación es de tipo mixto ya que se compone por un enfoque cualitativo que pretende la recolección para posteriormente por medio de un análisis cuantitativo realizar le medición numérica y el análisis de datos; tomando como población la empresa y como muestra los diferentes informes de balances, perdidas y ganancias y el brochure. Resultados, gracias al análisis de los estados financieros se encontró que a pesar de que la empresa Macroaseo SAS se encuentra en una ubicación favorable dentro del mercado competitivo, hay variables que afectan gravemente su rendimiento, entre estas variables se encuentran los gastos y costos de la empresa, por lo que se propone como estrategia maximizar los planes de acción financieros destinados a largo plazo.Description, thanks to Law 1258 of 2008, Colombia allows the creation of simplified jointstock companies, which facilitates the creation of micro, small and mediumsized enterprises (SME) in the country, where, according to figures from Confecámaras, 407,329 of these types of companies are constituted, equivalent to 86. 3% of the total number of companies. The main contribution of micro-SMEs to the Colombian economy is that they represent more than 90% of the national productive sector and generate 35% of GDP and 80% of employment, however, only 20% of micro-SMEs survive the third year. This is mainly due to the lack of financial education of small business owners, which leads them to make bad financial decisions such as overindebtedness and problems with the management of financial resources, that's the main problem the companies like like Macroaseo SAS faces every year. The objective is to establish financial strategies for the company Macroaseo SAS, which will allow the manager to make timely decisions that will lead to optimize financial resources and increase the sustainability of the company. Methodology, the research approach is of mixed type and consists of a qualitative approach that aims to collect data, then do a numerical measurement and data analysis by means of a quantitative analysis; taking the company as population and as shown by the different reports of balance sheets, losses and gains and the brochure.
