Global standards of Constitutional law : epistemology and methodology
Just as it led the philosophy of science to gravitate around scientific practice, the abandonment of all foundationalist aspirations has already begun making political philosophy into an attentive observer of the new ways in which constitutional law is practiced. Yet paradoxically, lawyers and legal scholars are not those who understand this the most clearly. Beyond analyzing the jurisprudence that has emerged from the expansion of constitutional justice, and taking into account the development of international and regional law, the ongoing globalization of constitutional law requires comparing the constitutional laws of individual nations. Following Waldron, the product of this new legal science can be considered as ius gentium. This legal science is not as well established as one might like to think. But it can be developed on the grounds of the practice that consists in ascertaining standards. As abstract types of best “practices” (and especially norms) of constitutional law from around the world, these are only a source of law in a substantive, not a formal, sense. They thus belong to what I should like to call a “second order legal positivity.” In this article I will undertake, both at a methodological and an epistemological level, the development of a model for ascertaining global standards of constitutional law
Alternative approach to in the uMSSM
The gluino contributions to the Wilson coefficients for are calculated within the unconstrained MSSM. New stringent bounds on
the and mass insertion parameters are
obtained in the limit in which the SM and SUSY contributions to
approximately cancel. Such a cancellation can plausibly appear within several
classes of SUSY breaking models in which the trilinear couplings exhibit a
factorized structure proportional to the Yukawa matrices. Assuming this
cancellation takes place, we perform an analysis of the decay. We
show that in a supersymmetric world such an alternative is reasonable and it is
possible to saturate the branching ratio and produce a CP
asymmetry of up to 20%, from only the gluino contribution to
coefficients. Using photon polarization a LR asymmetry can be defined that in
principle allows for the and contributions to the decay to be disentangled. In this scenario no constraints on the ``sign

Fermion Representation Of The Rolling Tachyon Boundary Conformal Field Theory
A free fermion representation of the rolling tachyon boundary conformal field
theory is constructed. The representation is used to obtain an explicit,
compact, exact expression for the boundary state. We use the boundary state to
compute the disc and cylinder amplitudes for the half-S-brane.Comment: 27 page
Resolved Photon Processes
We review the present level of knowledge of the hadronic structure of the
photon, as revealed in interactions involving quarks and gluons ``in" the
photon. The concept of photon structure functions is introduced in the
description of deep--inelastic scattering, and existing
parametrizations of the parton densities in the photon are reviewed. We then
turn to hard \gamp\ and \gaga\ collisions, where we treat the production of
jets, heavy quarks, hard (direct) photons, \jpsi\ mesons, and lepton pairs. We
also comment on issues that go beyond perturbation theory, including recent
attempts at a comprehensive description of both hard and soft \gamp\ and \gaga\
