The model of neutrino vacuum flavour oscillations and quantum mechanics
It is shown that the model of vacuum flavour oscillations is in disagreement
with quantum mechanics theorems and postulates. Features of the model are
analyzed. It is noted that apart from the number of mixed mass states neutrino
oscillations are forbidden by Fock-Krylov theorem. A possible reason of
oscillation model inadequacy is discussed.Comment: 12 page
Spiral Waves in Media with Complex Excitable Dynamics
The structure of spiral waves is investigated in super-excitable
reaction-diffusion systems where the local dynamics exhibits multi-looped phase
space trajectories. It is shown that such systems support stable spiral waves
with broken symmetry and complex temporal dynamics. The main structural
features of such waves, synchronization defect lines, are demonstrated to be
similar to those of spiral waves in systems with complex-oscillatory dynamics.Comment: to appear in International Journal of Bifurcation and Chao
Reconfigurable Microwave Photonic Topological Insulator
Using full 3D finite element simulation and underlining Hamiltonian models,
we demonstrate reconfigurable photonic analogues of topological insulators on a
regular lattice of tunable posts in a re-entrant 3D lumped element type system.
The tunability allows dynamical {\it in-situ} change of media chirality and
other properties via alteration of the same parameter for all posts, and as a
result, great flexibility in choice of bulk/edge configurations. Additionally,
one way photon transport without an external magnetic field is demonstrated.
The ideas are illustrated by using both full finite element simulation as well
as simplified harmonic oscillator models. Dynamical reconfigurability of the
proposed systems paves the way to a new class of systems that can be employed
for random access, topological signal processing and sensing
