On complete embedded translating solitons of the mean curvature flow that are of finite genus
We desingularise the union of Grim paraboloids along Costa-Hoffman-Meeks
surfaces in order to obtain what we believe to be the first examples in
of complete embedded translating solitons of the mean curvature
flow of arbitrary non-trivial genus. This solves a problem posed by Mart\'in,
Savas-Halilaj and Smoczyk.Comment: The presentation has been moderately redrafted and numerous typos
have been corrected. Hopefully the paper is now considerably more accessible.
Notation, terminology and conventions are described in detail in Appendix
Constant scalar curvature hypersurfaces in -dimensional GHMC Minkowski spacetimes
We prove that every -dimensional flat GHMC Minkowski spacetime which
is not a translation spacetime or a Misner spacetime carries a unique foliation
by spacelike hypersurfaces of constant scalar curvature. In otherwords, we
prove that every such spacetime carries a unique time function with isochrones
of constant scalar curvature. Furthermore, this time function is a smooth
submersion
Pointed k-surfaces
Following on from ``Hyperbolic Plateau problems'' (by the same author), we
provide a complete geometric description of solutions to the Plateau problem
when is a compact Riemann surface with a finite number of points
