Influence of Nanosized Silicon Oxide on the Luminescent Properties of ZnO Nanoparticles

For practical use of nanosized zinc oxide as the phosphor its luminescence quantum yields should be maximized. The aim of this work was to enhance luminescent properties of ZnO nanoparticles and obtain high-luminescent ZnO/SiO2 composites using simpler approaches to colloidal synthesis. The luminescence intensity of zinc oxide nanoparticles was increased about 3 times by addition of silica nanocrystals to the source solutions during the synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles. Then the quantum yield of luminescence of the obtained ZnO/SiO2 composites is more than 30%. Such an impact of silica is suggested to be caused by the distribution of ZnO nanocrystals on the surface of silica, which reduces the probability of separation of photogenerated charges between the zinc oxide nanoparticles of different sizes, and as a consequence, there is a significant increase of the luminescence intensity of ZnO nanoparticles. This way of increasing nano-ZnO luminescence intensity facilitates its use in a variety of devices, including optical ultraviolet and visible screens, luminescent markers, antibacterial coatings, luminescent solar concentrators, luminescent inks for security printing, and food packaging with abilities of informing consumers about the quality and safety of the packaged product

ІМЕРСИВНІ ТЕХНОЛОГІЇ В БІБЛІОТЕЦІ: ОРГАНІЗАЦІЯ ІННОВАЦІЙНОГО СЕРВІСУ ДЛЯ НАУКИ ТА ОСВІТИ

Вступ. Необхідність підвищення ефективності наукової діяльності, створення умов для продукування нових знань і обміну ними актуалізують вивчення когнітивного потенціалу імерсивних технологій. Проблематика. Розкриття потенціалу імерсивних технологій для організації інноваційного бібліотечно-інформаційного сервісу сприяння розвитку науки і освіти. Мета. Обґрунтування необхідності впровадження в практику наукових бібліотек імерсивних технологій з метою забезпечення інформаційно-технологічної підтримки наукових досліджень і освітньої діяльності, розробка теоретико-методологічних підходів до організації бібліотечного сервісу, побудованого на основі імерсивних технологій. Матеріали й методи. Джерельну базу дослідження склали вебсайти наукових бібліотек, тематичні ресурси (портал Масачусетського технологічного інституту MIT Media Lab Research, сайти компаній-розробників програмного забезпечення та офіційні веб-сайти хакатонів віртуальної реальності), фахові публікації, що висвітлюють специфіку імерсивних технологій, досвід їх використання в наукових дослідженнях та в бібліотечній практиці. Використано системний, функціональний методи, методи спостереження, гіпотези в поєднанні з соціальнокомунікаційним методом. Результати. Показано доцільність впровадження в практику наукових бібліотек імерсивних технологій як інноваційного інструменту інформаційно-технологічного забезпечення розвитку науки і освіти, акцентовано когнітивний потенціал імерсивних технологій, розроблено теоретико-методологічні засади організації комплексного бібліотечно-інформаційного сервісу, побудованого на використанні імерсивних технологій, висвітлено приклади ефективного використання останніх науковими бібліотеками. Висновки. Позитивний ефект використання когнітивного потенціалу розширеної реальності в освітній практиці й наукових дослідженнях актуалізує розробку стратегій організації в наукових бібліотеках комплексного бібліотечно-інформаційного сервісу з надання доступу до імерсивних технологій.</jats:p

Taras Shevchenko in the socio-cultural dimensions of Maidan

<p>It was analyzed the specificity of perception and image reproduction Shevchenko in Maidan’s socio-cultural environment in article. It was grounded three kinds of perception and image reproduction of Shevchenko in the work of Maidan’s artists. The first – the image of the poet, integrated into the context of events in Maidan at the level of comrade-in-arms, which personified the identification of values of protesters with poet’s ideas, contributed «sanctification» with Shevchenko's figure the fight against Yanukovych regime as inherently anti-Ukrainian, understanding the events of Maidan as Ukrainian Revolutionary War for independence. Second – image of ideologue of Maidan, mastermind-prophet, who built in his work topical even now the system of values – freedom, dignity, love of mother and Motherland, their defense, strengthening of Ukrainian identity. The third image of Shevchenko – the actions of participants in the Maidan, in the aggregate behavior of individuals, united by a common desire to win the national ideals of freedom. In this sense, the entire Maidan as a socio-political and socio-cultural phenomenon has become a collective image of Shevchenko, its modern revival.</p
