A New OLED Image Sticking Compensation Approach with Moving Zones
This invention reveals a new approach to compensate OLED image sticking. Firstly, it has the OLED decay curve data. While light on the OLED display, it records the loading of each pixel, and average it together with nearby pixels as a zone. Then estimate the decay it is based on the decay curve data, and then compensate each pixel to correct brightness by tuning appropriate voltages. The zone area and size can be changing from time to time. Therefore, each pixel is compensated with zones, and the virtual compensation zones are moving. As a result, the burn-in image would look blurry and not obvious to be noticed. And the shown image is still symmetry on screen, no black area in any sides, keeps image quality on screen intact and best user experience
