Take a look through my eyes:the development of an experienced quality measure with clients, informal, and formal caregivers in Dutch home care
There is an increasing focus on delivering high-quality care services tailored to the individual needs and care experiences of home care clients. To improve the primary care process in home care, it is important to gain insight into experienced quality from the perspective of clients within existing care triads. It is necessary to include qualitative measures in the home care process, in addition to their quantitative counterparts, to facilitate the sharing of the client’s care experiences and to obtain rich quality information. It is therefore important that relevant content is measured clients, informal and formal caregivers, as well as being both feasible in the home care setting and usable in existing care processes. This dissertation, therefore, focused on the process of determining stakeholders’ needs when developing a qualitative experienced quality measure from a client’s perspective specifically for the home care setting. This dissertation focuses on home care clients receiving long-term care

Towards a Belgian Federal Open Science Cloud (FedOSC)
This poster has been presented at The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and national/regional Open Science Policies in Brussels on April 16th, 2024. It explains the aims, roles and activities of FedOSC (The Federal Open Science Cloud) project, that will facilitate the integration of the Belgian Federal Scientific Institutions (FSIs) scientific data and results into the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). During the project, 1.4.2024 - 30.3.2026, a co-creation process will be initiated between Belnet, Belspo and the FSIs to initiate and guide the integration and to develop a long-term and sustainable strategy regarding Open Research Data. This work will be undertaken in line with the FAIR+ and CARE principles focusing on the findability, accessibility, interoperability and reusability of the data, as well as its long-term storage, preservation and ethical management and use
Experienced Quality of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care From the Care Recipient's Perspective-A Conceptual Framework
This article aims to conceptualize experienced quality of post-acute and long-term care for older people as perceived by care recipients. An iterative literature review and consultations with stakeholders led to the development of the INDividually Experienced QUAlity of Long-term care (INDEXQUAL) framework. INDEXQUAL presents the process of an individual care experience consisting of a pre (expectations), during (experiences), and post (assessment) phase. Expectations are formed prior to an experience by personal needs, past experiences, and word-of-mouth. An experience follows, which consists of interactions between the players in the caring relationships. Lastly, this experience is assessed by addressing what happened and how it happened (perceived care services), how this influenced the care recipient's health status (perceived care outcomes), and how this made the care recipient feel (satisfaction). INDEXQUAL can serve as a framework to select or develop methods to assess experienced quality of long-term care. It can provide a framework for quality monitoring, improvement, and transparency. Buitenlandse arbeidskrachten en de beheersing van de arbeidsvoorziening
Labor market segmentation reflects labor process divisions on the level of individual industries. Some industries rely almost entirely on the secondary labor market, others on the primary labor market. This segmentation of working conditions creates the objective basis for working class fragmentation. Such fragmentation occurs above all between women & men; foreign workers constitute a buffer with which the secondary labor market can be separated from the primary labor market, eliminating possible competition for jobs. An inferior labor reserve is created for the supply of secondary jobs. Firms use different methods according to whether they rely primarily on the primary or secondary labor market, & follow different manpower policies. Immigration policy consolidates & elaborates this system on the national level. 6 Tables, 1 Figure. Modified HA
