Long Range Scattering and Modified Wave Operators for some Hartree Type Equations
We study the theory of scattering for a class of Hartree type equations with
long range interactions in space dimension n > 2, including Hartree equations
with potential V(x) = lambda |x|^{- gamma} with gamma < 1. For 1/2 < gamma < 1
we prove the existence of modified wave operators with no size restriction on
the data and we determine the asymptotic behaviour in time of solutions in the
range of the wave operators.Comment: TeX, 89 pages, available http://qcd.th.u-psud.f
General formulas for fixed-length quantum entanglement concentration
General formulas of entanglement concentration are derived by using an
information-spectrum approach for the i.i.d. sequences and the general
sequences of partially entangled pure states. That is, we derive general
relations between the performance of the entanglement concentration and the
eigenvalues of the partially traced state. The achievable rates with constant
constraints and those with exponential constraints can be calculated from these
formulas.Comment: This paper revised because the previouse version has some mistake
Experimental study on coronary perfusion with selective brain cooling for direct aortic surgery
1. Retrograde coronary perfusion in combination with selective brain cooling by irrigation was investigated in dogs, in comparison with direct coronary artery perfusion.
2. High incidence of ventricular fibrillation was seen in both methods in hypothermic state. Operation at the normal temperature using extracorporeal circulation is desirable,
3. In view of the above results optimal perfusion pressure appears 30 mm Hg. in retroperfusion, while 100 mm Hg. in direct coronary artery perfusion. 4. The right ventricle anoxia is an undesirable feature in retroperfusion, while the left ventricle showed a tendency to slight anoxia in both methods.</p
