Hochschild homology invariants of K\"ulshammer type of derived categories

For a perfect field $k$ of characteristic $p>0$ and for a finite dimensional symmetric $k$-algebra $A$ K\"ulshammer studied a sequence of ideals of the centre of $A$ using the $p$-power map on degree 0 Hochschild homology. In joint work with Bessenrodt and Holm we removed the condition to be symmetric by passing through the trivial extension algebra. If $A$ is symmetric then the dual to the K\"ulshammer ideal structure was generalised to higher Hochschild homology in earlier work. In the present paper we follow this program and propose an analogue of the dual to the K\"ulshammer ideal structure on the degree $m$ Hochschild homology theory also to not necessarily symmetric algebras

Vereinigung ist nicht Vereinheitlichung - Aids-Prävention für schwule Männer in den neuen Ländern: Befunde, Erfordernisse, Vorschläge

In dem vom Bundesministerium für Gesundheit finanzierten Forschungsprojekt (GZ.:321-44761/2) Kommunikationsstrukturen, Gesellungsstile und Lebensweisen schwuler Männer in den neuen Bundesländern wurden präventionsrelevante Besonderheiten individuellen und kollektiven Lebens der Zielgruppe untersucht. Die Ergebnisse verweisen auf die Notwendigkeit, die Aids-Präventionsstrategie für schwule Männer in den neuen Ländern zu modifizieren. In Weiterführung des Forschungsprojektes geht es im vorliegenden Konzept darum, Vorschläge für die Gestaltung der zukünftigen praktischen Arbeit zu unterbreiten. Das Konzept wurde im Auftrag der Deutschen Aids-Hilfe erstellt. Darin wird zunächst ein kurz gefaßter Überblick über die Entwicklung der zielgruppenspezifischen Prävention vor und nach der 'Wende' gegeben. Es folgt die Analyse der aktuellen Probleme der zielgruppenspezifischen Prävention. Danach werden auf den drei Ebenen - Inhalte, Methoden und Vermittler - der Prävention gezielte Maßnahmen zu deren Verbesserung vorgeschlagen. - Inhaltlich sollten in Zukunft die Widersprüche zwischen Präventionsbotschaften vor und nach 1989 thematisiert sowie die Lebensbedingungen von Angehörigen der Zielgruppe im Sinne der Authentizität stärker als bisher berücksichtigt werden. - Methodisch richten sich die Vorschläge auf die Betonung personalkommunikativer Präventionsangebote durch die Verstärkung von Streetwork und die Einführung von Peer-group-involvement. - Im Hinblick auf die Vermittler wird die Ausweitung zielgruppenspezifischer Angebote durch die Einbeziehung der Gesundheitsämter und Schwulengruppen empfohlen. --

Gefühlsräume – Raumgefühle. Perspektiven auf die Verschränkung von emotionalen Praktiken und Topografien der Moderne

Ausgehend von verschiedenen Ansätzen in der Forschung zu Gefühlen und Räumen umreißt der Artikel das theoretische, empirische und politische Potenzial des Spannungsfelds zwischen der affektiven Durchkreuzung geordneter Strukturen und der emotionalen Bearbeitung machtdurchwirkter Raumverhältnisse. Praktiken des urban gardening und Debatten über Gentrifizierung zeigen beispielhaft, wie Analysen der dynamischen Interaktionen zwischen Räumen und Gefühlen für eine kritische Perspektive auf Urbanität fruchtbar werden können. Practices of urban gardening and debates about gentrification show by way of example, how analyzing the dynamic interplay between spaces and emotions can be rendered fruitful for critical vistas on urbanity. Considering the corporeality of spatial emotions and the materiality of emotional spaces enables a search for strategies that over-emphasize neither the persistent efficacy of the social nor the resistant force of the material in a deterministic fashion. Intersexuality and Trans-Identities within the Diversity Management Discourse

Within both the scientific discourse on workforce diversity, and diversity management practice, intersexuality and transgender issues have hitherto remained marginalized topics. This chapter gives an overview of the discourses on both phenomena, and proposes starting points for more inclusive organizational diversity management initiatives. It is shown that both topics represent different aspects of the category of "gender". The common practice of conceptually lumping together intersexuality, transgenderism, and sexual orientation can be seen as one important reason that intersexuality and transgenderism are rarely considered in organizational diversity management programs in terms of concrete action. Against this background, a modified, and more integrated approach to structuring the workforce alongside the different dimensions of diversity is proposed. It is shown that the categories of "biological sex and gender", "gender identity", and "sexual orientation" cannot be regarded as being separate from each other. They represent, rather, an interrelated organizational field of action that should be considered as being one interrelated topic for organizational diversity practices. This chapter derives this claim theoretically and discusses the consequences for organizational diversity management practices. For most organizations, this would mean a fundamental rethinking of their goals, in terms of workforce diversity, and the shaping of their diversity management programs
