A criança com Síndrome de Down e o número: uma proposta de atividades inclusivas de contagem

Today, in common schools, the inclusion of children with disabilities is inprocess, and the laws that support this policy guarantee the right of access, permanence and learning to all school age children, regardless of their specificities. With the purpose of contributing to the the inclusion of a student with Down Syndrome, in the process of mathematical education, this qualitative research in the mode of participant observation was developed in basic education, in the first year of elementary school I, in a public school of the city of Barbacena, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. All the research was embedded on Vygotsky and colleagues’the sociocultural perspective; the analysis were also based on Goos's view of Valsiner's zone theory. In order to fulfill this purpose, this work begins with observations of pedagogical practices and actions of the students in the mathematics classes and later assists in the understanding of mathematical abilities that are being worked in the inclusive process of the child with Down Syndrome. It identifies the facilities and difficulties of this educational process with the objective of guiding the production of a repertoire of inclusive pedagogical mathematics activities, involving numbers and operations with an emphasis on counting skills. This repertoire of activities involves all learners and benefits equal access to participation for children with Down Syndrome. The activities were developed considering the specificities of the student with Down Syndrome and the real developments of the students of the class, allowing everyone to participate in the same activities. As a result we could observe an increase in participation, attention, and good resourcefulness of learners. The student with Down Syndrome showed greater interest to the new activities, attention and independence in the resolution of tasks; interacted more with classmates and with the regent teacher, and even with the help of the support teacher in the necessary moments, there was more initiative in executing what was proposed to her. In addition to the changes in their participation in the Zone of Promoted Action and in the Zone of Free Movement, there have been changes in their zone of imminent development (ZDI). This repertoire of inclusive pedagogical activities constituted the educational product − a requirement for the completion of the Professional Master's Degree − is a printed material in the form of a magazine that will be made available to schools.Hoje, nas escolas comuns, vivencia-se o processo de inclusão de crianças com deficiência, e as leis que amparam essa política dão direito de acesso, permanência e aprendizagem a todos os alunos em idade escolar, independente de suas especificidades. Com o intuito de trazer contribuições ao processo de educação matemática e favorecer a inclusão de uma aluna com Síndrome de Down, essa pesquisa qualitativa na modalidade de observação participante, foi desenvolvida na educação básica, no 1º ano do ensino fundamental I, em uma escola pública comum da cidade de Barbacena, MG. Toda a pesquisa foi envolvida na perspectiva sociocultural de Vigotski e demais autores; as análises basearam-se também na visão de Goos sobre a teoria de zonas de Valsiner. Para atender esse propósito este trabalho inicia com a observação das práticas pedagógicas e das ações dos alunos nas aulas de matemática e mais à frente, auxilia na compreensão das habilidades matemáticas que estão sendo trabalhadas no processo inclusivo da criança com Síndrome de Down. Identifica facilidades e dificuldades desse processo educativo com o objetivo de orientar a produção de um repertório de atividades pedagógicas inclusivas, que envolvam o eixo números e operações com ênfase nas habilidades de contagem. Esse repertório de atividades envolve todos os educandos e beneficia o acesso em igualdade de condições de participação, à criança com Síndrome de Down. As atividades foram desenvolvidas considerando as especificidades da aluna com Síndrome de Down e os desenvolvimentos reais dos alunos da turma, propiciando a todos participarem das mesmas atividades. Como resultado foi possível observar o aumento da participação, da atenção, e boa desenvoltura dos educandos. A aluna com Síndrome de Down apresentou perante as novas atividades maior interesse, atenção e independência na resolução das tarefas; interagiu mais com os colegas de classe e com a professora regente, e mesmo com o auxílio da professora de apoio nos momentos necessários, houve mais iniciativa própria ao executar o que lhe era proposto. Pôde-se observar, além das mudanças na sua participação, na Zona de Ação Promovida e na Zona de Livre Movimento, aconteceram mudanças na sua Zona de Desenvolvimento Iminente (ZDI). Esse repertório de atividades pedagógicas inclusivas constituiu o produto educacional – requisito para a conclusão do Mestrado Profissional – é um material impresso em forma de revista que será disponibilizado às escolas

Efeitos do exercício físico na obesidade sarcopênica em idosos: uma revisão de literatura

Objetivo: Considerando a importância da abordagem fisioterapêutica na obesidade sarcopênica para manutenção da funcionalidade do indivíduo idoso, o objetivo do presente estudo foi realizar uma revisão da literatura sobre o efeito do exercício físico na obesidade sarcopênica em idosos. Metodologia: Foi realizada uma busca nas bases de dados eletrônicas Medline/ via Pubmed, PeDro, Lilacs e Scielo utilizando os seguintes descritores: aging, elderly, sarcopenic obesity, exercise e seus correspondentes em português. Foram adotados os seguintes critérios para inclusão dos estudos na revisão: o tipo de estudo ser ensaio clínico, ensaio clínico controlado ou aleatorizado, sendo uma das intervenções o exercício físico; indivíduos de ambos os sexos, obesos ou com sobrepeso, com idade acima de 60 anos; estudos que avaliaram como desfecho da intervenção a obesidade sarcopênica e funcionalidade. Resultados: A busca resultou em um total de 14 artigos, sendo que apenas 4 preencheram todos os critérios de inclusão. Dos estudos incluídos na revisão, um utilizou a modalidade de exercício aeróbico, dois associaram exercício aeróbico e resistido com carga progressiva para membros inferiores e um utilizou exercício resistido com carga progressiva. Todos os estudos associaram a realização de exercício com dieta. Devido ao pequeno número de estudos encontrados e do uso do exercício físico associado a dietas de restrição calórica, não foi possível estabelecer a ação isolada do exercício terapêutico sobre a obesidade sarcopênica na população idosa. Conclusão: Existem poucas evidências do efeito do exercício físico sobre a obesidade sarcopênica em idosos. Entretanto, parece haver concordância dos benefícios da combinação do exercício físico e dieta nos parâmetros de força muscular e funcionalidade em indivíduos idosos obesos e com sobrepeso

Mesenchymal stem cells promote augmented response of endogenous neural stem cells in spinal cord injury of rats

Traumatic spinal cord injury results in severe neurological deficits, mostly irreversible. The cell therapy represents a strategy for treatment particularly with the use of stem cells with satisfactory results in several experimental models. The aim of the study was to compare the treatment of spinal cord injury (SCI) with and without mesenchymal stem cells (MSC), to investigate whether MSCs migrate and/or remain at the site of injury, and to analyze the effects of MSCs on inflammation, astrocytic reactivity and activation of endogenous stem cells. Three hours after SCI, animals received bone marrow-derived MSCs (1×107 in 1mL PBS, IV). Animals were euthanized 24 hours, 7 and 21 days post-injury. The MSC were not present in the site of the lesion and the immunofluorescent evaluation showed significant attenuation of inflammatory response with reduction in macrophages labeled with anti-CD68 antibody (ED1), decreased immunoreactivity of astrocytes (GFAP+) and greater activation of endogenous stem cells (nestin+) in the treated groups. Therefore, cell transplantation have a positive effect on recovery from traumatic spinal cord injury possibly due to the potential of MSCs to attenuate the immune response

UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA SOBRE EXPOSIÇÃO SOLAR E CÂNCER DE PELE: PREVENÇÃO E CUIDADO

According to INCA, skin cancer is the most common cancer in Brazil and in the world, and accounts for 27% of all malignant neoplasms in the country. Ultraviolet radiation is divided into UVA, UVB and UVC. It is believed that less than a third of new cancer cases reported per year worldwide could be prevented. This study aims to analyze the forms of sun exposure and the prevention of skin cancer. This is an integrative literature review, searching the MEDLINE and LILACS databases, in the time window of the last five years. It is concluded that the UV index, forms of sun protection, use of protective clothing, photoexposure habits are a set of information that needs to be articulated between the professional and the patient in order to guarantee personalized sun protection in accordance with the need for it.Segundo o INCA o câncer de pele é o mais incidente no Brasil e no mundo, e corresponde a 27% de todas as neoplasias malignas do país. A radiação ultravioleta é dividida em UVA, UVB e UVC. Acredita-se que menos de um terço de novos casos de câncer notificados por ano, no mundo, poderiam ser evitados. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar as formas de exposição solar e a prevenção do câncer de pele. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura, com busca nas bases de dados MEDLINE e LILACS, na janela temporal dos últimos cinco anos. Conclui-se que o índice UV, as formas de proteção solar, uso de roupas protetoras, os hábitos de fotoexposição são um conjunto de informações que precisar ser articulada entre o profissional e o paciente com o intuito de garantir a proteção solar personalizada de acordo com a necessidade do mesmo

Evaluation der Eigenschaften von SRAM PUF in einem Testbed unter Verwendung von RIOT mit Low Power Modes

Static Random Access Memory (SRAM) Physically Unclonable Functions (PUF) leiten unvorhersehbare Informationen aus SRAM-Zellen ab. Diese können für kryptografische Zwecke oder als Seed verwendet werden. In dieser Arbeit wird die Eignung von SRAM basierten PUF unter der Verwendung von Low-Power-Modes im Betriebssystem RIOT untersucht.
