A Categorical Data Analysis on Relationships Between Culture, Creativity and Business Stage: The Case of Vietnam
In this paper, we offer a new way of exploring relationships between three different dimensions of a business operation, namely the stages of business development, the methods of creativity and the major cultural values. Although separately each of these has gained enormous attention from the management research community, evidenced by a large volume of research studies, few studies have attempted to describe the logic that connect these three important aspects of a business, let alone develop empirical evidence that supports any significant relationships among these variables. This paper also provides a dataset and an empirical investigation on that dataset, using a categorical data analysis, to conclude that examinations of these possible relationships are meaningful, even for seemingly unquantifiable information. The results also show that the most significant category among all creativity methods employed in Vietnamese enterprises is the idea of \u27creative disciplines\u27 in the \u27entrepreneurial phase\u27
A Categorical Data Analysis on Financial Failures in Vietnam, 2007-2013
In this paper, we examined 256 cases of financial failure and fraud occuring during the recent Vietnam’s chaotic years from 2007 to 2013, employing methods of categorical data analysis. Reported results suggest that the rent-seeking approach, or resource-based orientation, alone does not help explain the outcome of a business intention while the association between Orientation and Approach is the best-fit predictor. Rampant financial collapse not only increases the cost of funds but also erodes trust in the economy. Entrepreneurship development and creativity capacity building are necessary to improve socio-economic conditions and the environment. This work also introduces intuitive and cognitive factors to predict ex-ante outcome of a financing scheme

The Impact of Digital Transformation in Higher Education: The Case Study from Vietnam
The education sector in general and higher education, in particular, has paid great attention to digital transformation into teaching. Digital transformation is not only a general development trend but also helps to change the traditional teaching method to a new active teaching method that helps learners to be active and creative when participating in the learning process. The traditional classroom model, which has existed for a long time, is gradually shifting to classrooms that apply information technology to teaching and learning to reduce lectures and transfer knowledge to develop the initiative, creativity, and capacity of students to learn. Create opportunities for learners to learn anytime, anywhere, learners can be active in the learning process, contributing to building a learning society. The article clarifies the impact of digital transformation on higher education in Vietnam. From there, offer an oriented solution to help digital transformation become an effective tool in higher education in Vietnam today
Provincial foreign direct investment absorptive capacity of Vietnam
Objective: The objective of the article is to examine the importance of absorptive capacity in the relationship between foreign direct investment and economic performance in 63 Vietnamese provinces from 2007 to 2015. Research Design & Methods: The absorptive capacity at provincial level includes six components tested by confirmatory factor analysis, which allows for the argument that absorptive capacity of domestic firms is an important component of absorptive capacity of provinces. Besides this one, there are five other components, including financial development, human capital, the level of openness, the absorptive capacity of domestic firms, institutions, and infrastructure. The generalized two-stages least squares (G2SLS) random effect with instrumental variables regression is used with panel data. Findings: Firstly, foreign direct investment has a positive impact on the development of the 63 provinces in Vietnam. Secondly, among the six components, the four most important ones are infrastructure, the level of openness, human capital, and the absorptive capacity of domestic firms. Moreover, the article finds that foreign direct investment can bring negative impacts to provinces with a low level of trade openness. Implications & Recommendations: The government should focus on infrastructure, trading policy, human capital and capability of domestic firms. Contribution & Value Added: There is a lack of connection between absorptive capacity at the firm level and the macro level. Therefore, this article attempts to create this connection by constructing absorptive capacity at the firm level as a component of absorptive capacity at the provincial level. © 2020, Cracow University of Economics. STUDENT PERCEPTIONS OF CONSTRUCTIVE ALIGNMENT IN THE GENERAL ENGLISH 3 COURSE TOWARD ACHIEVING THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY OUTCOME AT LEVEL 3
This study investigates the extent to which students perceive constructive alignment among educational components in the General English 3 course at Nam Can Tho University, and how such alignment supports achievement of the English proficiency at level 3, as defined by Vietnam’s 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework. Drawing on Biggs’ (2003) Constructive Alignment theory, the research adopts a sequential mixed-methods design, comprising a quantitative survey of 1128 non-English-major students and qualitative interviews with 25 students. The findings indicate moderate to positive perceptions of alignment across key domains, including intended learning outcomes (ILOs), course content, teaching methods, and assessment-feedback approaches. However, gaps persist in students' understanding of ILOs, active engagement in class, and clarity in assessment criteria. The study concludes by offering pedagogical recommendations for improving curriculum design, enhancing alignment, and supporting students in achieving the required foreign language learning outcomes. Descriptor: fear and fear regulation of Chinese and Vietnamese investors in the extremely volatile markets dataset (FearCVI)
Emotions are fundamental elements driving humans’ decision-making and information processing. Fear is one of the most common emotions influencing investors’ behaviors in the stock market. Although many studies have been conducted to explore the impacts of fear on investors’ investment performance and trading behaviors, little is known about factors contributing to and alleviating investors’ fear during the market crash (or extremely volatile periods) and their fear regulation after the crisis. Thus, the current data descriptor provides details of a dataset of 1526 Chinese and Vietnamese investors, a potential resource for researchers to fill in the gap. The dataset was designed and structured based on the information-processing perspective of the Mindsponge Theory and existing evidence in life sciences. The Bayesian Mindsponge Framework (BMF) analytics validated the data. Insights generated from the dataset are expected to help researchers expand the existing literature on behavioral finance and the psychology of fear, improve the investment effectiveness among investors, and inform policymakers on strategies to mitigate the negative impacts of market crashes on the stock market
Low power circuit design using NCL based asynchronous method
The null convention logic (NCL) based circuit design methodology eliminates the problems related to noise, clock tree, electromagnetic interference and also reduces significant power consumption. In this paper, we would like to demonstrate the advantage of low power consumption of the NCL based asynchronous circuit design on a large design scale, thus we used the advanced encryption standard (AES) encryption design as an illustrative example. In addition, we also proposed two pipelined AES encryption models using the synchronous circuit design technique and the asynchronous circuit design technique based on NCL. Besides, these two models were realized by using version control system (VCS) tool to simulate and Design Compiler tool to synthesize parameters in power consumption, processing speed and area. The synthesis results of these two models indicated that power consumption of the NCL based asynchronous AES encryption model had a decrease of 71% compared with the synchronous AES encryption model. Moreover, we show the outstanding advantage of the power consumption of the NCL based asynchronous design model (a decrease of 91.12% and 93,23%) compared to the synchronous design model using clock gating technique and without using clock gating technique respectively
