Following the Organizing over Time: Focus on the Concept of Compromise.

This paper deals with the concept of compromise in organization studies. The concept of compromise is often mobilized in discourses. Nevertheless, it seems difficult to comprehend this concept, while it can help us to enhance our understanding about organization structuring. The aim is to propose a conceptual framework in order to understand the shaping of compromise, and the roles of compromises in organization. The main contribution is in the understanding of concept of compromise both as a process and a state. Compromise also understands itself as an actant mobilized and redefined in practice by actors to mediate their interaction and coordinate themselves. Thus, compromise enables and constrains interaction because it carries on irreversibility in the organizational process. From a case study based on the development of an Information System for Human Resource Management in a bank during the financial crisis, I illustrate the conceptual framework, and I discuss three roles and effects of compromises in organizational process: the importance of the first compromise in organizational process, the compromise as an ongoing update equilibrium between concession and gift, and the materialization of compromise to objective modalities.compromise; organizational process; coordination; Actor Network Theory;

Vers une reconsidération de la notion d'usage des outils TIC dans les organisations: une approche en termes d'"enaction"

La notion d'usage des technologies de l'information revêt aujourd'hui un sens complexe dans lequel se mêlent les pratiques mais aussi des déterminants sociologiques ou psychologiques. Le problème réside dans une possible représentation des usages et des usagers dépassant les pratiques observables. En nous appuyant sur la théorie de la structuration (Giddens, 1984), sur les apports de Weick (1979, 1990, 1995) ainsi que sur les travaux d'Orlikowski (1992, 2000), nous proposons la notion d' « enactment » pour appréhender en partie la complexité des usagers. Dans cette perspective, les structures, les actions et l'outil TIC entrent dans une relation récursive qu'il est possible d'articuler. Le modèle d' « enactment » proposé permet alors de mettre en évidence les principaux déterminants de la structure, de l'outil et de l'action. CopyCAT: Taking Control of Neural Policies with Constant Attacks

We propose a new perspective on adversarial attacks against deep reinforcement learning agents. Our main contribution is CopyCAT, a targeted attack able to consistently lure an agent into following an outsider's policy. It is pre-computed, therefore fast inferred, and could thus be usable in a real-time scenario. We show its effectiveness on Atari 2600 games in the novel read-only setting. In this setting, the adversary cannot directly modify the agent's state -- its representation of the environment -- but can only attack the agent's observation -- its perception of the environment. Directly modifying the agent's state would require a write-access to the agent's inner workings and we argue that this assumption is too strong in realistic settings.Comment: AAMAS 202

Démarche empirique d'identification des trajectoires d'appropriation: le cas NotePlus

Pour comprendre les phénomènes collectifs d'appropriation des solutions TIC, nous proposons une approche d'identification des trajectoires d'appropriation à travers un cas d'implémentation d'outil de gestion pédagogique dans un établissement scolaire. En rupture avec les approches déterministes, notre développement privilégiera l'approche interactionniste qui prend en compte la dynamique récursive entre les actions, la structure et les outils. Le croisement de l'approche sociotechnique de la traduction, qui permet une retranscription des phénomènes d'innovation (Callon 1986 ; Akrich, Callon & Latour 1988a ; Akrich, Callon, & Latour 1988b ; Latour 1989 ; Akrich 1993) et de l'approche structurationniste, qui souligne l'interaction entre les actions et les structures (Giddens 1984) permet de construire un cadre conceptuel de retranscription des phénomènes d'appropriation. L'évolution des formes d' « enactment » est dans cette perspective, le résultat de compromis où les acteurs trouvent un intéressement toujours plus important dans l'usage de la solution TIC. Pour expliquer le parcours d'appropriation des professeurs, nous mettrons en exergue les différentes formes d' « enactment » des individus à travers une catégorisation idéale-typique. En suivant les parcours d' « enactment » des individus, l'identification des trajectoires d'appropriation devient possible. Manager l\u27appropriation des solutions TIC : des controverses aux modes d\u27appropriation

L’article propose une approche renouvelée du management de l’appropriation des solutions TIC. A partir d’une étude de cas, nous proposons de comprendre comment les acteurs passent du déploiement de controverses relatives à l’implémentation d’une solution TIC à des modes d’appropriation, c\u27est-à-dire à une vision commune de la solution TIC. A partir des résultats, nous développons une démarche de management des controverses dont l’objectif est de parvenir à des modes d’appropriation des solutions TIC. Cette démarche considère les controverses comme des opportunités pour conduire le processus d’appropriation de la solution TIC

Singularities for analytic continuations of holonomy germs of riccati foliations

In this paper we study the problem of analytic extension of holonomy germs of algebraic foliations. More precisely we prove that for a Riccati foliation associated to a branched projective structure over a finite type surface which is non-elementary and parabolic, all the holonomy germs between a fiber and the corresponding holomorphic section of the bundle are led to singularities by almost every developed geodesic ray. We study in detail the distribution of these singularities and prove in particular that they form a dense uncountable subset of the limit set. This gives another negative answer to a conjecture of Loray using a completely different method, namely the ergodic study of the foliated geodesic flow
