Complex Clause of Bahasa Indonesia From the Point of View of Systemic Functional Linguistic
This paper discusses the meaning of the complex clause by a series of processes that are combined
in a logical of the two clauses. Complex clause can be combined through one of two
logical-semantic relationships that is expansion or projection.
Systemic Functional Linguistics approach is used to describe the five texts taken at random.
The five texts are: (1) Gembala dan malaikat, (2) Pendahuluan, (3) Melakukan Studi Gender dalam
Bahasa, (4) Korporasi, Kerja dan Kultur, dan (5) Gara-gara Dilarang Bertemu (1) Shepherd and angels,
(2) Introduction, (3) Doing Gender in Language Studies, (4) Corporations, Employment and Culture,
and (5) Due to Divorce, No Meet Pets. The analysis of the five texts is not opposed but complementary
to one another.
By using a qualitative descriptive method, it was found two types of logical-semantic relations:
(1) Expansion, and (2) projection. Integrating through one of the logical-semantic relations:
expansion or projection is realized through a system of mutual dependence or taxis that
can be divided into paratactic and hypotactic.

LEXICAL MEANING AND ITS LOSS, GAIN, AND SKEWING OF INFORMATION IN TRANSLATION
Every word in a culture can be expressed in another. However, some concepts of meaning
in the source language do not have lexical equivalents in the target language due to thedifference of the two cultures which are not in the same families.
The study aims to present the equivalence of the lexical items which are unknown in
the target language. Descriptive qualitative methods will be used to describe the lexicalcultural gap of expressions in a novel Mirror Image which was translated in Belahan Jiwa.
Three approaches; Reference Theory, Componential Analysis, and Meaning postulatesused to compare and contrast the semantic features of a lexical meaning concept..
Meanwhile, Knowledge-Based Theory utilized to describe the loss / gain of the semanticfeatures and changes of the linguistic forms in translation.
It was found in this study that either loss or gain of information in translation was
due to the difference of two linguistic systems, cultures, and changes of linguistic formwere due to translator preference
TERJEMAHAN UNGKAPAN IDIOMATIS DALAM PERGESERAN KOHESIF DAN KOHERENSI
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji tipe pergeseran yang diakibatkan oleh perbedaan duasistem bahasa dan budaya yang tidak serumpun. Kedua perbedaan tersebut mengakibatkan pergeseran,yang merupakan bagian dari strategi penerjemahan untuk mendapatkan kesepadanan alamiah yangpaling mendekati, tidak dapat dihindari.
Kajian ini bersifat deskriptif kwalitatif dalam menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan padanan ungkapanidiomatis novel bilingual Mirror Image dan terjemahannya Belahan Jiwa. Teori Terjemahan Shifts ofCohesion and Coherence in Translation (Blum-Kulka dalam Venuti, 2004) digunakan untukmengklasifikasi tipe pergeseran yang dilakukan penerjemah. Sedangkan, untuk ungkapan idiomatis yangtidak dikenal dalam budaya sasaran, Teori Lexical Equivalents when Concepts are Unknown (Larson,1998) digunakan untuk menginvestigasi dan mendeskripsikan kesepadanan konsep makna budaya sumberdan target.

Skrining Fitokimia Minuman Tradisional Moke dan Sopi sebagai Kandidat Antimikroba
Sopi and moke of East Nusa Tenggara Province are some traditional beverage made from nira or interest leads palm (Borassus flabellifer L.). Several studies have shown that sopi and moke have an antimicrobial activity. Antimicrobial activity of plants derivatives may be influenced by the content of phytochemical compounds. The purpose of this study was to determine the class of phytochemical compounds in sopi and moke. Phytochemical testing performed on seven chemical compounds, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols hydroquinone, steroids, triterphenoid, tannins and saponins. The results show that sopi contains of alkaloids and moke contains of phenol hydroquinone and saponins. Antimicrobial activity of sopi and moke supposed to be caused by these three compounds and this could be a potential source of an alternative disinfectant candidate
Kosten en effecten van esomeprazol in de behandeling van reflux ziekte
Doel. Het bepalen van de kosten-effectiviteit van esomeprazol (Nexium(r)) ten opzichte van alle andere in Nederland geregistreerde protonpomp remmers in de behandeling van reflux ziekte. Voor de effectiviteit vormt het hebben van voldoende controle over de symptomen het uitgangspunt.
Perspectief. De studie is uitgevoerd zowel vanuit het perspectief van de verzekeraars als vanuit het maatschappelijk perspectief.
Methoden. Gegevens met betrekking tot effectiviteit zijn afgeleid uit een systematische analyse van de literatuur. Gegevens omtrent zorgconsumptie zijn afkomstig uit interviews met huisartsen en gastro-enterologen. Een model is ontwikkeld, dat de gegevens over effectiviteit en kosten van behandeling bijeen brengt. De structuur van het model is vervolgens bediscussieerd met een panel van deskundigen. Tenslotte zijn de berekeningen uitgevoerd met het aangepaste model.
Resultaten. Behandeling met esomeprazol 40 mg is dominant ten opzichte van de andere protonpomp remmers: 96,4% van de patiënten heeft na 8 weken voldoende controle over de klachten, tegen totale kosten van EUR 89 (maatschappelijk;m) / EUR 83 (verzekeraar;v). Na esomeprazol 40 mg is omeprazol 40 mg het meest effectief (95,2%), gevolgd door esomeprazol 20 mg (94%)
Constraining the evolutionary history of Newton's constant with gravitational wave observations
Space-borne gravitational wave detectors, such as the proposed Laser
Interferometer Space Antenna, are expected to observe black hole coalescences
to high redshift and with large signal-to-noise ratios, rendering their
gravitational waves ideal probes of fundamental physics. The promotion of
Newton's constant to a time-function introduces modifications to the binary's
binding energy and the gravitational wave luminosity, leading to corrections in
the chirping frequency. Such corrections propagate into the response function
and, given a gravitational wave observation, they allow for constraints on the
first time-derivative of Newton's constant at the time of merger. We find that
space-borne detectors could indeed place interesting constraints on this
quantity as a function of sky position and redshift, providing a
{\emph{constraint map}} over the entire range of redshifts where binary black
hole mergers are expected to occur. A LISA observation of an equal-mass
inspiral event with total redshifted mass of 10^5 solar masses for three years
should be able to measure at the time of merger to better than

Stiffness of the Crystal-Liquid Interface in a Hard-Sphere Colloidal System Measured from Capillary Fluctuations
Face-centered cubic single crystals of diameter hard-sphere silica colloidal particles were prepared by sedimentation onto (100) and (110) oriented templates. The crystals had a wide interface with the overlaying liquid that was parallel to the template. The location of the interface was determined by confocal microscopic location of the particles, followed by identification of the crystalline and liquid phases by a bond-orientation order parameter. Fluctuations in the height of the interface about its average position were recorded for several hundred configurations. The interfacial stiffness was determined from the slope of the inverse squared Fourier components of the height profile vs the square of the wave number, according to the continuum capillary fluctuation method. The offset of the fit from the origin could quantitatively be accounted for by gravitational damping of the fluctuations. For the (100) interface, ; for the (110) interface, . The interfacial stiffness of both interfaces was found to be isotropic in the plane. This is surprising for the (110), where crystallography predicts twofold symmetry. Sedimentation onto a (111) template yielded a randomly stacked hexagonal crystal with isotropic . Pengaruh Pemberian Konsentrasi Gula Lontar pada Dendeng Ikan Tembang (Sardinella Fimbriata) terhadap Lama Simpan Berdasarkan Kadar Air, Nilai Organoleptik dan Total Cemaran Mikroba
Dendeng is a traditional food results by the public Rote Ndao. Method for making dendeng by drying using sunlight as well as using palm sugar as the main ingredient pickling as well as the addition of spices. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of palm sugar in the manufacture of Dendeng Ikan. The processing is done in the District Lobalain(Rote Ndao). Methods of use of the sugar palm consisting of 4 treatments, KO (without giving sugar palm), K1 (10% concentration of palm sugar), K2 (20% concentration of palm sugar), K3 (30% concentration of palm sugar), K4 (40% concentration palm sugar). 4 times the storage of dendeng with the observation that the 5th day (P1), 10th day (P2), 15th day (P3), 20th day (P4). The quality of dendeng observed included presentations lost water content after processing, testing organoleptic and microbiological quality in terms of Total Plate Count (TPC). The test results of water content during storage of dendeng showed that, giving palm sugar concentration of 40% in the processing of fish dendeng, has a water content lower than the palm sugar concentration of 10%, 20% and 30%. During storage, less than the 15th day dendeng with palm sugar concentration giving 40% meet the Standar Nasional Indonesia moisture content, while the dendeng with the provision of palm sugar concentration of 30% has less storage than day-to-5 that meets the water content of the Standar Nasional Indonesia. The test results showed that the organoleptic, Giving palm sugar concentration levels in the processing of fish dendeng affect the appearance, consistency / texture, aroma and taste of dendeng. During storage in certain storage time of each treatment dendeng change the appearance, consistency / texture, aroma and taste. The test results TPC (Total Plate Count) of dendeng showed that, giving the concentration of sugar palm sugar palm 40% in the processing of dendeng, has a value of TPC (Total Plate Count) is lower than the concentration of sugar palm 10%, 20%, and 30 %. During storage, only on day 5 dendeng with palm sugar concentration giving 40% to abide by the TPC (Total Plate Count) of Standar Nasional Indonesia
