PENGGUNAAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NHT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR
The purpose of this study are to: improve students’ motivation by using model of
NHT cooperative learning in the grade students’ of IV SDN 02 Doplang, through
the use of NHT type cooperative model.
The form of the research is action research consists of planning (planning), action
(action), observing (observation), and reflection (reflection). Data collection
techniques to improve motivation to learn social studies using a model
cooperative type NHT used questionnaires and observation techniques. The data
analysis technique used is an interactive model of Miles & Huberman analysis
consisted of data reduction, data, and data verification token or draw conclusions.
Based on the results of this study concluded that: the using of cooperative learning
model NHT type can increase the motivation of students of SDN 02 Doplang
fourth grade. In the pre-action obtain by the average students’ motivation 60,88,
cycle first for 72,80, cycle II for 84,20 it means an increased students’ motivation
average 'for 23,32%.
Thus it can be proposed recommendation that the using of cooperative learning
model NHT Study type in the four social classes of learning can improve learning
motivation and learning achievement in the SDN 2002 social studies Doplang
Karangpandan.

Estimation of Mortalities
If a linear regression is fit to log-transformed mortalities and the estimate is back-transformed according to the formula Ee^Y = e^{\mu + \sigma^2/2} a systematic bias occurs unless the error distribution is normal and the scale estimate is gauged to normal variance. This result is a consequence of the uniqueness theorem for the Laplace transform.
We determine the systematic bias of minimum-L_2 and minimum-L_1 estimation with sample variance and interquartile range of the residuals as scale estimates under a uniform and four contaminated normal error distributions. Already under innocent looking contaminations the true mortalities may be underestimated by 50% in the long run.
Moreover, the logarithmic transformation introduces an instability into the model that results in a large discrepancy between rg_Huber estimates as the tuning constant regulating the degree of robustness varies.
Contrary to the logarithm the square root stabilizes variance, diminishes the influence of outliers, automatically copes with observed zeros, allows the `nonparametric' back-transformation formula E Y^2 = \mue^2 + \sigma^2, and in the homoskedastic case avoids a systematic bias of minimum-L_2 estimation with sample variance.
For the company-specific table 3 of [Loeb94], in the age range of 20-65 years, we fit a parabola to root mortalities by minimum-L_2 , minimum-L_1, and robust rg_Huber regression estimates, and a cubic and exponential by least squares. The fits thus obtained in the original model are excellent and practically indistinguishable by a \chi^2 goodness-of-fit test.

Assessing L2 vocabulary depth with word associates format tests: issues, findings, and suggestions
Word Associates Format (WAF) tests are often used to measure second language learners’ vocabulary depth with a focus on their network knowledge. Yet, there were often many variations in the specific forms of the tests and the ways they were used, which tended to have an impact on learners’ response behaviors and, more importantly, the psychometric properties of the tests. This paper reviews the general practices, key issues, and research findings that pertain to WAF tests in four major areas, including the design features of WAF tests, conditions for test administration, scoring methods, and test-taker characteristics. In each area, a set of variables is identified and described with relevant research findings also presented and discussed. Around eight topics, the General Discussion section provides some suggestions and directions for the development of WAF tests and the use of them as research tools in the future. This paper is hoped to help researchers become better aware that the results generated by a WAF test may vary depending on what specific design the test has, how it is administered and scored, and who the learners are, and consequently, make better decisions in their research that involves a WAF test

The covid-19 pandemic requires children for studying at home. All student learning activities are carried out at home guidance from parents. So that role of parents in educating children is first. This study aims to describe the role of parents as teachers at home and to describe the close relationship with parents in courageous learning at SD Negeri Kebonromo 3 Sragen during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data methods used was online questionnaires by using Google forms. The data analysis uses interactive analysis, there were reduction, data presentation, and verification. The data validity uses source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that even though parents are busy working, the role of parents as caregivers and educators, as guides, as teachers, as motivators and facilitators has been done well. However, there are some parents who cannot guide their children to study because they were busy on working. Parents also apply reward and punishment. The average reward given by parents is in the form of goods and the punishment given is in the form of a warning to the child. The obstacles nearly happen by parents are the addition of internet quota, lack of understanding of children's material, and not use various methods when studying
