Presidential election process in Indonesia has been reflected in the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Year 1945 (1945 Constitution). Since 1945, the presidential election process in Indonesia is consensus in an institution of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR). It is as the implementation of the Preamble of the 1945 Constitution, all four precepts of Pancasila, "Democracy Led by Wisdom Wisdom In a consultative assembly". Changes in the 1945 Constitution in 1999-2002, has implications in the process of election of the President of deliberation to direct election by the people. Many observers said the process of direct election by the people as a model of democracy. In fact, not a few who claimed the election process by consensus in the Assembly, as well as a model of democracy though indirectly. Implementation of the Presidential election in the concept of Shura as Shura and democracy has no relevance, given some quarters to equate the two. Although there are similarities between shura and democracy as expressed by some. However, there is very substantial between the two, given that it is shura is a method derived from the Rabb al-basyar (Rabb human), namely God, while democracy is the fruit of thinking of a weak man who is certainly not free of shortcomings, democracy sourced of concepts and principles devised by man which the concepts and principles is closely linked to the interests of each individual name in its implementation

Influence of surface pretreatment in resistance spot welding of aluminum AA1050

Resistance spot welding (RSW) of aluminum alloys implies a major problem of inconsistent quality from weld to weld due to problems of varying thickness of the oxide layer. The high resistivity of oxide layer causes strong heat development, which has significant influence on electrode life and weld quality. An experimental study of the influence of pretreatment on weld quality in RSW of AA1050 sheets with three thicknesses, comparing welding of as-received sheet with pretreated sheet by either pickling in NaOH or glass-blasting were investigated. Different weld settings were applied with low-, medium-, and high-energy inputs. The as-received sheet showed higher electrical contact resistance because of thicker oxide layer. Lower values were noticed with pickled surfaces, whereas the lowest electrical contact resistance was obtained when glass blasting, resulting in the roughest surface topography, which facilitated breakdown the oxide layer. Highest strength and smaller scatter in strength were obtained by pickling in NaOH

Analisis Pengaruh Variasi Tekanan Pada Pengecoran Squeeze Terhadap Struktur Mikro Dan Kekerasan Produk Sepatu Kampas Rem Berbahan Aluminium Silikon (Al-si) Daur Ulang Dengan Penambahan 0,05% Unsur Titanium (Ti)

Katakunci: Pengecoran squeeze, daur ulang, tekanan

This paper examines on numerical modeling of Homogenous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) engine model using n-heptane as base fuel. The parameters used in this study is different air to fuel ratio (AFR) (25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50) and different air inlet temperature (25°C, 50°C, 75°C, 100°C). Performance and emission characteristics of n-heptane were investigated at constant engine speed of 1000 rpm in a HCCI engine model. The effects of inlet air temperature were also examined. The test results showed that brake power, brake mean effective pressure and brake specific fuel consumption decreased when increased AFR and inlet air temperature. Meanwhile, brake thermal efficiency shows an increase when increase when AFR and temperature of the inlet increased. The test results also showed that NOx, CO and HC emissions decreased with the increase of inlet air temperature for all AFR value. Overall, this numerical model can be used to predict the performance and emission of the HCCI engine

    Get PDF
Cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN) has a negative effect on survival and quality of life in people with diabetes mellitus (DM) and is regarded as a subtype of the diabetic autonomic neuropathy. This type of neuropathy is the most prominent focusing because of its life threatening and the availability of the cardiovascular tests that can diagnose it. This study aims to determine the prevalence of CAN in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This cross sectional study included 103 (56 males and 47 females) pure diabetic patients without hypertension or pre-diagnosis of ischemia. They had attended to the diabetic center in Marjan Medical City in Hilla from March 2013 to February 2014. The patients had undergone thorough assessments that included clinical (history and full examination). The study found that  most of the diabetic patients presented with CAN (72.8%). Patients with CAN were older when compared to patients without CAN (p?0.01) and  had longer duration of DM (p?0.01). The most abnormal sympathetic response was diastolic blood pressure response to hand grip while the most abnormal parasympathetic response was heart rate response to breathing. On contrary, the lowest abnormal response was found in postural blood pressure test. In conclusion, This study concludes that CAN is a common complication of type 2 diabetes that affected a large percentage of diabetic patients. The duration of the diabetes and the age of patients are important non modifiable risk factors for the development of CAN. Additionally, heart rate variability is considered as an important test for early detection of CAN. Key words: Diabetes mellitus, Cardiac autonomic neuropathy, Cardiac autonomic reflex test
