The effect of advertisements and gender identity role on consumer buying behavior

Cinsiyet, özellikle tüketici davranışlarının belirlenmesine yönelik olarak geleneksel pazarlamada uzun süreden beri kullanılmakta olan bir bölümlendirme değişkenidir. Ancak günümüzün hızla değişen dünyasında tüketici davranışlarını anlamada geleneksel kalıpların dışına çıkılması zorunluluğu doğmuştur. Bu noktada “cinsiyet kimliği” son dönemde adından sıkça bahsettirmekle beraber pazarlamacılara tüketici davranışlarının karmaşıklığını çözmede yardımcı olabilecek bir kavram olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, reklamların ve cinsiyet kimliği rolünün tüketicilerin satın alma davranışları üzerindeki etkisi ölçülmeye çalışılmıştır. Reklamlara ilişkin anket uygulamasıyla tüketicilerin cinsiyet kimliklerinin reklamlara verdikleri tepkiyi ve sosyo-ekonomik statü düzeylerinin cinsiyet kimliklerini etkileyip etkilemedikleri incelenmiş ve gerekli analizler yapılarak bazı anlamlı ilişkilerin varlığına ulaşılmıştır.Gender is a segmentation criterion which has been used for a long time especially for the analyses of consumer behavior in traditional marketing. However an obligation has aroused to digress the traditional patterns in order to understand consumer behavior in our rapidly changing world. At this point, “gender identity role” concept which is frequently encountered in the literature reminded may help researchers in understanding complex consumer buying behavior. In this study, consumer’s gender identity’s impact on their response to advertisements and whether their socio-economic status levels’ effect their gender identities or not have been analyzed and some significant relations have been found

ON GENERALIZED BERTRAND CURVES IN EUCLIDEAN 3-SPACE

In this paper, we generalize the notion of Bertrand curve in Euclidean 3-space analogously as in Minkowski 3-space. According to this generalization, the Bertrand curve conditions of a given space curve are obtained and the relations between Frenet vectors and curvature functions are revealed. On null and pseudo null Mannheim curves in Minkowski 3-space

Sözleşme özgürlüğünün sınırlarından biri olarak genel ahlaka aykırılık

İrade özerkliği ilkesinin borçlar hukuku alanındaki yansıması olarak kabul edilen sözleşme özgürlüğü ilkesi, modern liberal hukuk sistemlerinin temel prensiplerinden biridir. Ancak her özgürlük gibi sözleşme özgürlüğünün de kendi içerisinde birtakım sınırlandırmaları bulunmaktadır. Bu sınırlandırmalardan biri, sözleşmenin içeriğinin ahlaka aykırı olmasıdır. Gerçekten, TBK m. 27’ye göre; ahlaka aykırı sözleşmeler kesin olarak hükümsüzdür. Burada ahlaktan anlaşılması gereken ise genel ahlaktır. Türk borçlar hukuku öğretisinde sözleşme özgürlüğünün sınırlarından biri olan genel ahlaka aykırılık tartışılagelen bir husus olmuştur. Bu tartışmanın güncel teknolojik ve hukuki gelişmeler ışığında devam ettirilmesi de kaçınılmazdır. Bu bağlamda yapmış olduğumuz çalışmada, sözleşme özgürlüğü kavramı ve bu kavramın TBK m. 27 uyarınca yasal sınırlamaları, söz konusu sınırlamalardan birisi olan ahlaka aykırılık müessesesi ve hangi durumların genel ahlaka aykırılık teşkil ettiği meseleleri detaylı olarak incelenmeye çalışılmıştır

Calcium Oxalate Crystals in Developing Seeds of Soybean

Young developing soybean seeds contain relatively large amounts of calcium oxalate (CaOx) monohydrate crystals. A test for Ca and CaOx indicated that Ca deposits and crystals initially occurred in the funiculus, where a single vascular bundle enters the seed. Crystals formed in the integuments until the embryo enlarged enough to crush the inner portion of the inner integument. Crystals then appeared in the developing cotyledon tissues and embryo axis. All crystals formed in cell vacuoles. Dense bodies and membrane complexes were evident in the funiculus. In the inner integument, cell vacuoles assumed the shape of the future crystals. This presumed predetermined crystal mould is reported here for the first time for soybean seeds. As crystals in each tissue near maturity, a wall forms around each crystal. This intracellular crystal wall becomes contiguous with the cell wall. Integument crystals remain visible until the enlarging embryo crushes the integuments; the crystals then disappear. A related study revealed that the highest percent of oxalate by dry mass was reached in the developing +16 d (post-fertilization) seeds, and then decreased during late seed maturation. At +60 d, CaOx formation and disappearance are an integral part of developing soybean seeds. Our results suggest that Ca deposits and crystals functionally serve as Ca storage for the rapidly enlarging embryos. The oxalate, derived from one or more possible metabolic pathways, could be involved in seed storage protein synthesis

Spacelike and timelike normal curves in Minkowski space-time

We define normal curves in Minkowski space-time. In particular, we characterize the spacelike normal curves in ^4_1 whose Frenet frame contains only non-null vector fields, as well as the timelike normal curves in ^4_1 , in terms of their curvature functions. Moreover, we obtain an explicit equation of such normal curves with constant curvatures

Quantitative determination of calcium oxalate and oxalate in developing seeds of soybean (Leguminosae)

Developing soybean seeds accumulate very large amounts of both soluble oxalate and insoluble crystalline calcium (Ca) oxalate. Use of two methods of detection for the determination of total, soluble, and insoluble oxalate revealed that at +16 d postfertilization, the seeds were 24% dry mass of oxalate, and three-fourths of this oxalate (18%) was bound Ca oxalate. During later seed development, the dry mass of oxalate decreased. Crystals were isolated from the seeds, and X-ray diffraction and polarizing microscopy identified them as Ca oxalate monohydrate. These crystals were a mixture of kinked and straight prismatics. Even though certain plant tissues are known to contain significant amounts of oxalate and Ca oxalate during certain periods of growth, the accumulation of oxalate during soybean seed development was surprising and raises interesting questions regarding its function
