Null Surfaces and Legendre Submanifolds

It is shown that the main variable Z of the Null Surface Formulation of GR is the generating function of a constrained Lagrange submanifold that lives on the energy surface H=0 and that its level surfaces Z=const. are Legendre submanifolds on that energy surface. The behaviour of the variable Z at the caustic points is analysed and a genralization of this variable is discussed.Comment: 28 pages, 7 figure

Fast and Slow solutions in General Relativity: The Initialization Procedure

We apply recent results in the theory of PDE, specifically in problems with two different time scales, on Einstein's equations near their Newtonian limit. The results imply a justification to Postnewtonian approximations when initialization procedures to different orders are made on the initial data. We determine up to what order initialization is needed in order to detect the contribution to the quadrupole moment due to the slow motion of a massive body as distinct from initial data contributions to fast solutions and prove that such initialization is compatible with the constraint equations. Using the results mentioned the first Postnewtonian equations and their solutions in terms of Green functions are presented in order to indicate how to proceed in calculations with this approach.Comment: 14 pages, Late

Tratamiento fisioterapeutico en el pie equino varo congénito

INTRODUCCIÓN: El pie equino varo congénito, también conocido como el pie zambo, es una deformidad congénita compleja del miembro inferior de etiología desconocida, aunque hay múltiples factores que pueden estar implicados en ella. Es una patología presente desde el nacimiento que cursa con equino varo del retropié, aducción del antepié y cavo del mediopié. Tiene una incidencia de 1-1000 nacidos vivos que varía según la raza con predominancia en el sexo masculino y es diagnosticado mediante ecografías intraútero prenatales. El tratamiento para el pie zambo comienza las primeras semanas de vida y tiene como objetivo corregir la deformidad y mantener la corrección evitando las recidivas, para así evitar el dolor y conseguir una marcha fisiológica. Debido a toda la información que hay sobre esta patología se opta por realizar una revisión bibliográfica acerca de los posibles métodos de tratamiento fisioterapéutico, ortésico y quirúrgico y las posibles complicaciones y beneficios de cada uno de ellos. MATERIAL Y MÉTODOS: Se han llevado a cabo búsquedas bibliográficas en las bases de datos: Medline (Pubmed), ScienceDirect, LILACS, SciELO, PEDro y Medigraphic. Los términos MESH y términos clave usados han sido los siguientes: Congenital talipes equinovarus, Clubfoot , pie equino varo congénito , Problems , Conservative treatment , Surgical tretament, Taping treatment, Tibial anterior transfer , soft tissue release , Ponseti method , Kite method y Copenhagen method. Se han seleccionado un total de 11 artículos para realizar la discusión de este trabajo. RESULTADOS Y DISCUSIÓN : El PEVAC siendo una deformidad ortopédica bastante común podemos encontrar numerosos estudios acerca de ésta y en la revisión bibliográfica realizada, en todos los artículos se refleja el tratamiento fisioterapéutico como imprescindible para tratar esta afección, sobre todo en los primeros días de vida. CONCLUSIÓN: Hay numerosos métodos de tratamiento de esta patología siendo el tratamiento fisioterapéutico muy importante tanto como parte del tratamiento conservador como previo al tratamiento quirúrgico. Robert Walser fue un escritor y poeta que llevó una vida itinerante hasta que fue internado en un sanatorio mental. Hizo de la contemplación del entorno y de la Naturaleza su horizonte vital. Los paseos y las largas caminatas constituyen un referente en su vida y su obra. Obsesionado por la insignificancia, sus textos presentan a personajes anónimos entregados al servicio doméstico y con un afán último de desaparición, negando así cualquier autoafirmación. Recurrió a la escritura de caracteres mínimos, los microgramas, escritos exclusivamente a lápiz, configurando paisajes literarios atiborrados de un texto siempre tendente al circunloquio y con ocultos hallazgos para el lector atento. Crítico con el progreso y desarrollo que destrozan la armonía natural, continuó paseando y dialogando con la Naturaleza hasta el fin de sus días.Robert Walser was a writer and poet who led an itinerant life until he was admitted to a mental hospital. The contemplation of Nature and the environment are the focus of his vital concerns. Stroll through the woods and the long walks between towns are part of his life and appear in all his work. Obsessed by insignificance, his stories are full of anonymous people working in domestic service, people who deny any self-assertion and only want their disappearance. His micrograms, written exclusively in pencil, are literary landscapes filled with long circumlocutions, full of banalities and unexpected gifts. Veracidad y verosimilitud en el relato autobiográfico: el valor de la ficción

Este artículo trata de analizar la tensión entre autobiografía y ficción, partiendo del hecho de que la autobiografía es un género literario que se presenta como un discurso verdadero sobre el pasado. Así, suponemos que los datos que el autor proporciona están directamente vinculados con sus vivencias pasadas y, confiando en la palabra del protagonista del relato autobiográfico, nos dejamos seducir por sus experiencias vividas. Sin embargo, tenemos la sensación de situarnos en un territorio limítrofe, lábil, difuso, y hay quien llega a aseverar que toda autobiografía es esencialmente ficcional. Es el recurso estético-creativo el que añade credibilidad a los hechos relatados. Un logrado estilo del narrador permitirá el éxito del objetivo autobiográfico. La elocuencia narrativa hace que la transmisión de lo que se pretende comunicar resulte más fluida y por tanto más creíble. Por ello, la conjunción de los hechos hábilmente elegidos para ser transmitidos más el dominio de las técnicas y usos narrativos, contribuye a la veracidad de aquello que se ofrece al lector.   This article discusses the tension between autobiography and fiction, based on the fact that autobiography is a literary genre which proposes a true discourse about the past. So, we assume that the author’s story is directly linked to their past experience and, relying on the word of the protagonist, we are seduced by this tale. However, we feel that we are in a strange land where the lines are blurred, and some even say that autobiography is essentially fictional. It is the aesthetic-creative resource which adds credibility to the reported facts. A good storyteller style leads to a successful autobiography. The narrative eloquence makes communication more fluid and more credible. Thus, the combination of events selected for transmission and the skill in the use of narrative techniques, contributes to the truthfulness of what is presented to the reader
