Knowledge Hiding: One of the Primary Reasons behind the Rapid Spread of the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19
The world is battling out the pandemic of Covid-19. The World Health Organization (WHO) is jointly acting upon the same daily, which is evident from the ‘situation reports.’ The pandemic, which saw its origin in Wuhan, has spread across the world within a short span of under two months. While the pandemic has effectively instilled a situation of cordon sanitaire across the globe, the virus seems to show no respite. This study collates different sources and establishes the human tendency of knowledge hiding as the prime reason for the spread of such colossal magnitudes. The study underlines the notion by examining some of the critical cases and situations that have unfolded in the very recent past
Are You So Good That They Cannot Ignore You? Effect of Coworker Support on Knowledge Sharing Through an Affective Events Theory Perspective
Drawing on affective events theory, this study considers knowledge sharing as an outcome of emotional responses resulting from an individual’s experience of workplace events. This study aimed to empirically examine how coworker support as a work event encourages employees’ knowledge contribution and knowledge-seeking behaviors through feelings of vitality. A structured, questionnaire-based survey was administered to 430 employees of knowledge-based organizations in India. The retrieved data were further analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results indicate that perceived coworker support positively influences the knowledge contribution and knowledge-seeking behavior of individuals in the workplace. Furthermore, vitality mediated the positive association between perceived coworker support and knowledge sharing. This implies that the perception of coworker support in the workplace augments employees’ feelings of vitality, which further motivates them to contribute to and seek knowledge from coworkers. Therefore, this study critically underscores the existence of a “performance loop” in knowledge sharing, as coworkers find it difficult to bypass an employee because of their outstanding performance and the fact that the same virtuous cycle elicits greater knowledge sharing by coworkers. Such perceived goodwill makes employees so good that they cannot be ignored within an organizational setting. This is a pioneering study investigating how coworker support in the workplace stimulates knowledge sharing among employees by considering the mediating effect of feelings of vitality. This study also contributes to the positive psychology and knowledge management literature by revealing the implications of vitality for extra-role behaviors such as knowledge sharing

Understanding Knowledge Sharing Among Researchers by Social Network Analysis
This work mainly concerns with the differential analysis of the knowledge sharing pattern among the research scholars with the aid of Pajek software and R programming; whereby a holistic knowledge sharing network for the entire set of research scholars in the institution is established and the centrality features of the network is analyzed
Demystifying knowledge hiding and envisioning a synthesized theoretical perspective: an integrated review
Purpose
Despite the notable increase in scientific publications explaining the knowledge hiding (KH) behavior and its antecedents and consequences, the discourse on this topic remains fragmented, limiting the holistic theoretical understanding of the KH phenomenon. This study aims to explore the theoretical lenses that have been used to understand and analyze the KH phenomenon in the workplace.
Design/methodology/approach
This study carried out a systematic literature review to advance the extensively researched domain of the KH phenomenon. Following a robust research protocol, the authors reviewed 155 peer-reviewed articles published in well-recognized research outlets.
Findings
This study has conceptualized and synthesized the current theoretical knowledge on KH. The findings suggest that the reviewed articles have used diverse theories, both in isolation and in combination with other theoretical lenses, to investigate KH behavior. The predominant theories used are the conservation of resource theory, social exchange theory, psychological ownership theory, social identity theory, social learning theory and the theory of planned behavior.
Research limitations/implications
These theories can be further used to examine various facets of KH (e.g. dyadic, triadic or extended). It is feasible to improve the current understanding of KH in organizations by identifying the positive outcomes apart from the established negative consequences of such behavior. This will help elucidate what kind of KH exists, to what extent it is beneficial and what outcomes are detrimental to organizations.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study that explicitly focuses on the theoretical foundations of KH. It proposes an integrated, cross-disciplinary, theory-based framework and presents suggestions for future research in this field. The framework can be used to examine various facets of KH (e.g. dyadic, triadic or extended). It can improve the current understanding of KH in organizations by identifying the positive outcomes apart from the established negative consequences of such behavior.Post-print / Final draf

Unravelling the Nexus between neuroscience and leadership research
Purpose
The collaboration of the field of neuroscience and leadership has invoked a general curiosity in the area of leadership studies. The discipline is giving copious amounts of inputs for the smooth functioning of the organization. Such collaborated studies attempt to establish improvements in the leadership research with the aid of thinking, feeling and knowing dimensions. Though generic understanding is available, the studies done on the neuro-leadership collaborations are far and few. The purpose of this paper mainly is to attempt to decipher the level of understanding the scientific world has on the inter-disciplinary interactions between neuroscience and leadership studies.
Design/methodology/approach
A biblio-morphological analysis is carried out. This integrated methodology is being introduced for the first time in the area of a literature review. The topic of interest is a novel one and being spread across many disciplines warrants such a comprehensive approach. The bibliometric analysis is carried out with the help of VOSviewer software.
Findings
The different parameters analyzed in this analysis are: mapping based on text data, index keyword, main authors who are the pioneers in the area, countries which are the leaders in the field of neuroscience and leadership studies. Such an analysis broadly outlines the present status of the research on the topic. Morphological analysis is executed by dissecting the topic into various dimensions and sub-options. These dimensions are then cross-matched in a matrix, known as the cross-consistency matrix. This matrix reflects the 174 research gaps that exist in this particular area.
Originality/value
The biggest contribution of this paper would be to underline the present status of the literature on neuroscience and leadership research and to develop a reference for future opportunities. This study attempts to make this document a vade mecum for both the industry and the academia in the area of neuroscience and leadership research.

Understanding knowledge hiding and establishing the effects of power on knowledge sharing and hiding
Knowledge hiding is an intentional attempt by an individual to withhold knowledge. This thesis has undertaken a detailed morphological analysis and as a result addresses two important research questions. First, it gives a comprehensive list of antecedents that trigger knowledge hiding and underscores the relevance of contexts like culture, job-experience etc. while studying knowledge hiding. Second, the thesis establishes that power plays an important, but complex role in influencing employee participation in knowledge transfer. This implies that the optimal situation for knowledge sharing is one in which employees' contributions are valued, and their reputation is not expected to change due to sharing knowledge
