WOMEN IN THE OLD TESTAMENT AND THE QUR'AN
The women’s rights movement is not unique to this period; it is a set of events that have occurred throughout history in various parts of the world. In contemporary times the status of women has been the subject of consideration and discourse. Generally, it is thought that religion has created a hindrance in the upliftment of women. However, the interpretation of sacred religious books and doctrines has played an important in framing women’s status. In this context, both the Old Testament and the Qur’an were comparatively studied to figure out women’s status. This study seeks to analyze the basic position of women in both religious scriptures. It also tries to uncover the place of refuge for women in the modern era where women are exploited. This study is descriptive and comparative in nature.
Density Functionalized Drug-Surfactant Interaction of Aqueous SDS-Tartrazine
Study of molecular density theory is considered nowadays as a powerful tool to speculate various physical and chemical properties of materials. Herein, we report the theoretical inference of associated changes in chemical properties of sodium dodecyl sulphate and tartrazine when allowed to go through pre- and post-micellization phenomena. Because of the involvement of the two compounds in manifold industrial applications, the study reflects some important conclusions of drug-surfactant chemistry. The computational work involves the use of Polarizable Continuum Model (PCM), water as solvent and 631g(d,p) basis set with B3LYP as functional. Each molecule was run individually first to arrive at an optimized structure followed by a final optimization of assumed network (mesh of proposed binary mixture) to visualize the changes that occur on combination. Each set of energy minimal calculation was then run for frequency calculation, electronic spectral evaluation and molecular natural population analysis. Molecular electrostatic potential surfaces were discussed in linking the appropriate hydrophobic and hydrophilic interaction
Impact of Turmoil on Tourism of Kashmir
In the present study an attempt has been made to analyze the impact of turmoil on tourism ofKashmir and the sectors associated with tourism industry. More emphasis has been laid oncombining and comparing the ups and downs of both the issues of turmoil and tourism in Kashmir.Besides secondary data information has been collected from house boat owners, shikhara ownersand hotel owners with the help of interview schedules. Our analysis reveals that there has been anegative impact of turmoil on the sectors associated with tourism industry. Turmoil in the State, particularly of last two decades, hindered the smooth growth of the tourism and had discouragedmost of the travelers from visiting India's most popular tourist destination. Add to this it alsoaffected not only tourism but also indirectly the economic activities related to tourism.Key words: Turmoil, tourism, houseboat owners, Kashmir, poverty, unemployment
Effect of loan value and collateral on value of mortgage default
This study explore the factors influencing mortgage loan default by using the data of mortgage default case from Jammu and Kashmir Bank. To achieve the study objectives sixteen variables are taken. The variables are categorized into three dimensions as borrower’s profile, loan value contents and collateral security. The tools used for analysis of data describing mortgage loan defaulter’s are chi-square, regression, ANOVA, and logistic regression through SPSS 18.0. The results indicate that the borrower’s gender, borrower’s age, borrower’s marital status, the borrower’s income, loan rate, loan type, loan amount, amount repaid, LTV, LTI, form of collateral security, Value of collateral security, purpose of loan and secondary finance on collateral security are significantly positively correlated with the defaulter’s outstanding loan amount. While as education qualification of borrower is significantly negatively correlated with defaulter’s outstanding loan amount. Logistic regression results indicate that income, secondary finance on collateral security and interest rate are mainly responsible for mortgage default

Correlation of height with hand length and breadth in adult Kashmiri population of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir
Background: Nature has designed the anatomical framework of an individual in such a way that the significant correlation between different body parts do exists which can be applied to solve the conflicts and controversies, and also there is strong ethnic and geographical variations among individuals is considered to be important assessment in identification of unknown human remains. Estimation of stature from hand dimensions which is one of the very important chapters in the field of Forensic anthropometry. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted amongst 200 participants (100male and 100 female) of Kashmiri population from district Baramulla of Jammu and Kashmir over a period of 4 months during 2021-22. Hand dimensions along with hand dimensions along with stature were measured instead of hand dimensions along with stature and weight were measured. Linear regression coefficient was calculated. Results: Obtained were statistically significant and showed a positive correlation between height and hand length. P value was <0.05.Conclusions: The correlation between height and hand dimensions ( length and breadth) instead of height and hand length measurements of an individual were statistically significant. This significance of correlation between the measurements can be used practically in forensic medicine to establish identity of persons in case of accidents and disasters where bodies are mutilated and body parts are fragmented

Characterization and identification of Russula firmula and Russula postiana from Himalayan moist temperate forests of Kashmir
Two ectomycorrhizal species of genus Russula: Russula postiana and Russula firmula (Basidiomycota, Agaricales) have been characterized and identified from Kashmir Himalaya using morpho-anatomical and molecular methods targeting its rDNA. The target internal transcribe spacer (ITS)-rDNA of both species was amplified using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with universal fungal primers (ITS1 and ITS4), which generated 700 bp fragments. After sequencing of amplified product, the initial blast analysis revealed and confirmed the identification of both species by comparing the sequences of these respective species present in GenBank. Further, in phylogenetic analysis both species distinctly clustered with their respective groups. Morphological characteristics like shape, size and colour of pileus, stipe and gills, basidiospore size of both the species was measured and compared with data given in literature. Keywords: Ectomycorrhizal, morpho-anatomical, sequencing, phylogeneticAfrican Journal of Biotechnology Vol. 12(23), pp. 3643-364
