Conceptual Scenic Design Project

This project was completed for Eric Baratta\u27s THAR 130 class, Intro to Lights, Sets, Costume, held in the Collaborative Classroom in Van Pelt Library. The project uses SketchUp to showcase the knowledge the class gained on building a 3D structure that could explore theatrical space and its importance for the play The Doctor In Spite Of Himself. Single-Polymer Composites (SPCs) : Status and Future Trends

Preparation, properties and applications of single-polymer composites (SPCs), representing an emerging family within the polymeric composite materials, have been surveyed. SPCs were classified in respect to their composition (one- and two-constituents), and preforms (non-consolidated and consolidated). SPCs composed of amorphous or semicrystalline matrices and semicrystalline reinforcements were considered. Methods to widen the temperature difference between the matrix- and reinforcement-giving materials of the same polymer (one-constituent) or same polymer type (two-constituent approach) have been introduced and discussed. Special attention was paid to the unsolved questions related to the interface/interphase in SPCs. It was emphasized that the development of SPCs is fuelled by the need of engineering parts in different applications which have low density and “ultimate” recyclability (i.e. reprocessing via remelting). Recent development of SPCs is supported by novel preform preparation, consolidation and production possibilities

Upaya Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa Singorojo Dalam Upaya Mengurangi Dampak Pencemaran Lingkungan

Masalah yang ditemukan di Desa Singorojo adalah rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat pada kebersihan lingkungan yang berdampak pada pencemaran lingkungan. Selama ini masyarakat di Desa Singorojo membuang sampah secara sembarangan seperti di lahan kosong maupun di sungai hal menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan, pencemaran sungai bahkan sebagai penyebab munculnya berbagai macam penyakit. Maka tim PPK Ormawa BEM FISIP UNTAG Semarang berfokus kepada upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat Desa Singorojo dengan mengadakan dua rangkaian acara berupa sosialisasi pengelolaan sampah dan pendistribusian tempat sampah. Pemberdayaan ini merupakan salah upaya menanggulangi masalah yang dialami di Desa Singorojo dengan harapan masyarakat dapat memahami bagaimana mengelola serta memilah sampah yang dapat di daur ulang. Kemudian masyarakat membuang sampah pada tempat sampah yang telah disediakan sehingga sampah tidak berserakan di lahan kosong, sungai maupun sepanjang jalan desa. The problem found in Singorojo Village is the low level of public awareness of environmental cleanliness which has an impact on environmental pollution. So far, people in Singorojo Village have been throwing rubbish carelessly, such as on empty land or in rivers, causing environmental pollution, river pollution and even causing the emergence of various diseases. So PPK Ormawa BEM FISIP UNTAG Semarang team focused on efforts to empower the Singorojo Village community by holding two series of events in the form of socializing waste management and distributing waste container. This empowerment is an effort to overcome the problems experienced in Singorojo Village with the hope that the community can understand how to manage and sort waste that can be recycled. Then the community throws the rubbish in the rubbish bins that have been provided so that rubbish is not scattered on empty land, rivers or along village road

Development and characterization of single polymer composites prepared by compression molding of polyamide 6 empty microcapsules and novel woven textile structures

Supplementary material related to this article can be found, in the online version, at doi:https://doi.org/10.1016/j.mtcomm.2020.100912.In the present study, novel polyamide 6 based woven single polymer composites (WSPC) were developed by powder-coating of woven textile structures with polyamide 6 empty microcapsules (EMC) and subsequent compression molding. To synthesize EMC, activated anionic ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactam by solution/precipitation was applied. Stitched plain fabrics that are promising novel class of woven fabrics and two conventional woven patterns (plain and satin-5 harness) were used as textile reinforcements. The thermal and mechanical properties of all composites were characterized and related to the reinforcements´ morphology, fiber volume fraction and ply orientation. For better understanding of the bonding state at the matrix-fiber interface, stereo-optical microscopy and SEM image analysis by image processing were performed. The data obtained confirmed the existence of a transcrystalline layer (TCL) in the interface region. Çalışmamızın amacı Aysel Özakın’ın roman ve hikâyelerindeki sosyal meseleleri tespit etmektir. Bu çalışma giriş ve sonucun dışında üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmaya zemin hazırlamak için ‘Giriş’ kısmında edebiyat sosyolojisinden yararlanılmış ve bu kısımda çalışmanın yöntemi daha belirgin ifade edilmiştir. Birinci bölüm kadın ve toplumu ele almaktadır. Burada gelenek ve gelenek karşısında kadın, toplum ve aile baskısı, evlilik ve cinsel istismar, kadın için büyük şehrin zorlukları ve toplumda kendine yer edinemeyen kadının yalnızlaşması incelenmiştir. İkinci bölüm de ise sosyo-ekonomik yapıdan kaynaklanan sosyal meselelere odaklanılmıştır. Bu bölümde kitapta verilen bilgilerden yola çıkılarak eğitim, göç ve taşra hakkında veri toplanmaya çalışılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümü aydın ve halk arasındaki çatışma oluşturmaktadır. Burada aydının ve halkın ideolojiye bakışları, aydının din ve geçmiş eleştirisi tespit edilmiştir.The aim of our work is to identify social issues in Aysel Özakın’s novel sand stories. The third part is the conflict between the intellectual sand the people. The ideology of the intellectual sand the people, the intellectual religion and the past criticism have been identified in this section
