Fish community in Pengkalan Gawi - Pulau Dula section of Kenyir Lake, Terengganu, Malaysia

A study of species diversity offish population was carried out at Pengkalan Gawi- Pulau Dula section of Kenyir Lake, Terengganu. Fish sampling at three (3) stations was conducted monthly from February 2008 to January 2009 using gill nets. A total of 274 fishes from 13 species were collected in this study. The most abundant fish species collected were Barbodes schwanenfeldii (Lampam Sungai) (35.77 %), followed by Notopterus sp. (Belida) (27.37 %) and Hampala macrolepidota (Sebarau) (16.06 %). The other species identified in this study were Hemibagrus nemurus (Baung) (8.03%), Channa micropeltes (Toman) (4.4%), Pristolepis faciatus (Patong) (3.65%), Cyclocheilichthys apogon (Temperas) (1.46%), Osteochilus hasselti (Terbol) (1.09%), Osteochilus vitatus (Rong) (0.73%), Chela anomalura (Lalang) (0.36%), Labiobarbus lineatus (Kawan) (0.36%), Channa striatus (Haruan) (0.36%) and Probarbus jullieni (Temoleh) (0.36%). The Shannon-Weaver index showing the fish diversity index was 1.71, Pielou's Evenness index was 0.66 and Margalef's Species Richness index was 4.92 respectively. Most of the species found in this study were similarly reported in other studies in Kenyir Lake. It is hoped that the results of this study will be useful in contributing towards the management of the lake in a sustainable manner for future generations

Internalisasi Nilai-Nilai Agama Islam melalui Pembelajaran PAI di SDN 5 Pasui

Education in Indonesia in the last decade has had many problems, one of which is the decay of the morals of the younger generation and this is an important discussion that deserves our attention. The essence of the purpose of Islamic Religious Education in general is to form students to become human beings who fear Allah and have noble character. Seeing this problem, it is necessary to have a breakthrough, one of which is through the internalization of Islamic religious values ​​through learning programs in class, especially PAI learning and activities outside school hours. This study aims to: (1) to find out the implementation of the internalization of Islamic religious values ​​through learning PAI, (2) to find out the implementation of the internalization of Islamic religious values ​​to shape the morale of children at SDN 5 Pasui. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. As well as data analysis using the triangulation method. The results showed that: (1) the internalization of Islamic religious values ​​at SDN 5 Pasui through learning PAI was carried out in several stages: 1) Value transformation stage 2) Value transaction stage 3) Transinternalization stage. (2) the process of internalizing Islamic religious values ​​to shape the morale of children at SDN 5 Pasui is carried out through activities outside of school hours as follows: Faith values ​​through prayer programs before and after learning, moral values ​​through 3S activities (Smiles, Greetings and Sapa) and Sharia Values ​​with congregational duha prayers, congregational dhuhur prayers and the qira'ati program. &nbsp

Pengaruh Kualitas Pelayanan Dan Ketepatan Waktu Terhadap Kepuasan Mahasiswa Pada Universitas Lakidende

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh kualitas pelayanan dan ketepatan waktu terhadap kepuasan Mahasiswa pada Universitas Lakidende. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa yang pernah diberikan pelayanan oleh Universitas Lakidende yang berjumlah 55 orang. Metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan dan ketepatan waktu secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan Mahasiswa pada Universitas Lakidende. Kualitas pelayanan secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan Mahasiswa pada Universitas Lakidende. Fish biodiversity survey (2009) of streams in the Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve, Puchong, Selangor

A study was carried out to determine the different fish species inhabiting the streams of Ayer Hitam ForestReserve (AHFR) in Puchong, Selangor. The study was carried for a period of days (from 13 to 16 April 2009)during the Scientific Expedition of AHFR, Puchong, organized by the Faculty of Forestry, Universiti PutraMalaysia (UPM). The samples were collected using a variety of methods at three stations that were designatedas Station A, Station B and Station C within the AHFR riverine system. These samples were then preserved in90% ethanol solution and sent to the laboratory for identification. From the sampling, eleven indigenous fishspecies (namely, Puntius binotatus, Luciocephalus pulcher, Clupeithys sp., Rasbora einthoveni, Hemiramphodonpogognathus, Rasbora heteromorpha, Sphaerichtys osphronemoides, Rasbora sumatrana, Beta pugnax,Glossogobous giuris and Clarias macrocephalus) were identified to inhabit the AHFR riverine system

Implementasi Pembelajaran Tematik dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa di SDN 102 Pudukku

The problem discussed in this study is how to implement thematic learning in improving student learning outcomes at SDN 102 Pudukku. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of thematic learning in improving student learning outcomes at SDN 102 Pudukku. This research is a field research with a qualitative descriptive approach, namely describing and interpreting according to the data obtained. Primary data sources are data sources which are the main data sources in this study, which were obtained from school principals, study teachers at SDN 102 Pudukku in the field of Islamic Religious Education, Mathematics, Social Sciences (IPS), Natural Sciences (IPA), Indonesian Language, Citizenship Education, Physical Education, and other educators. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using qualitative data analysis were carried out interactively through the process of data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing/verification. The conclusion in improving student learning outcomes at SDN 102 Pudukku is that it has not gone well, this is due to a lack of socialization about thematic learning, the teacher's lack of understanding of thematic learning explanations in the curriculum used, the lack of information obtained by the teacher to carry out thematic learning, there is no guide for teachers to be able to develop learning to be thematic, and teachers cannot develop it in the form of themed lesson plans

Efficient Encryption Technique for H.264/AVC Videos Based on CABAC and Logistic Map

Nowadays, the demands of real-time video communication are increased rapidly. Search and rescue(SAR) applications like earthquake rescue, avalanche victims, wildfire monitoring in addition to highway surveillance are considered examples of real-time applications. In which, communication time is considered the most important metric to be optimized to ensure support for victims’ lives. Thus finding a simple and time efficient encryption technique for securing the transmitted data become mandatory. In this paper, we present an efficient encryption technique which has low computation complexity, low processing time and highly chaotic encrypted videos. The proposed technique is based on CABAC where the bin-string of Intra-Prediction Mode is encrypted with chaotic signals and the sign of MVD is toggled randomly. For residue coefficients the sign of the AC coefficients are flipped randomly and the first value of DC coefficients is encrypted by XORing the bin-string with random stream. All random streams are generated with chaotic systems using Logistic map. The experimental results shows that the proposed technique is highly effective for real-time application and robust against different types of attacks
