Fuentes de satisfacción laboral en los profesores de primer ciclo de Secundaria

Professional satisfaction is a particularly important issue, especially when it refers to teachers’ work, since they are responsible for education of the future generation. It is crucial that people in this profession are happy and do not suffer from burnout or frustration. The article presents issues concerning professional satisfaction and the most important activity zones of a teacher. The aim of the article is to show factors connected with teachers’ work which have the biggest impact on their professional satisfaction; an analysis of empirical research, followed by presentation of the results, serves as an exemplification thereof.La satisfacción laboral es una cuestión esencial al referir a la labor de profesores que educan a las nuevas generaciones. Es importante que esa labor sea ejecutada por las personas contentas y sin sentimiento de frustración laboral. El artículo presenta las cuestiones de la satisfacción laboral y los elementos más importantes del funcionamiento de un profesor en su trabajo. El fin de la obra es presentar aquellos factores relacionados con el trabajo de los profesores que tienen más impacto al sentimiento de satisfacción laboral. La ejemplificación de las cuestiones analizadas está basada en los resultados de los estudios empíricos de ese entorno y en la presentación de las conclusiones

Factors and work conditions shaping the development of professional identity of it teachers in Poland

La identificación del perfil profesional de los profesores de informática es un asunto muy complejo. Implica el análisis de varias cuestiones y problemas relacionados con la preparación profesional, las condiciones de trabajo, las aptitudes individuales, las competencias y actitudes personales. El mecanismo de identificación profesional se refiere a la capacidad de asumir su papel de profesor e identificarse con sus compañeros de trabajo. Es decir, se trata de aceptar obligaciones, costumbres, comportamientos profesionales, valores y creencias propios de su círculo laboral. Además, se debe tener en cuenta que el tiempo para adaptarse a las condiciones de trabajo y las reacciones al cambio en el trabajo pueden variar. Los profesores de informática en Polonia llevan a cabo tareas distintas relacionadas, por una parte, con el trabajo didáctico, educativo y de cuidador y, por otra, con los temas a enseñar. Sobre todo, deben cuidar el funcionamiento óptimo de los equipos informáticos y velar por la seguridad del aula de informática. Su trabajo consiste también en estar al tanto de las nuevas tendencias, programas e instrumentos informáticos y en aconsejar a otros profesores que usan las tecnologías para la enseñanza. En lo que se refiere a la identificación profesional de los profesores de informática, no se trata sólo de adaptar al profesor a su círculo laboral. Se debe sobre todo explicarle aquellos comportamientos apropiados a su puesto de trabajo, estándares y valores aprobados en su escuela e involucrarle en la mejora de las condiciones de trabajo, el modo de trabajar y sus resultados. Los profesores de informática influyen a la sociedad en lo que se refiere al uso de nuevas tecnologías, motivo por el que es importante mostrar los factores que determinan su identidad profesional y, en consecuencia, los indicadores de calidad y eficacia de su trabajo. El artículo que presentamos a continuación trata de explicar distintos elementos que influyen en dicho perfil profesional como son la identificación profesional, el círculo laboral, sus tareas y obligaciones; para concluir con la presentación del análisis de las condiciones de la formación de identidad de los profesores de informática.Professional identification of IT teachers in Poland is a complex issue, concerning many aspects and problems connected with professional training, working conditions and individual capacities, competences and attitudes. Mechanism of professional identification concerns one’s identification with role of a teacher and with the whole professional group. This means adaptation to duties, customs, professional behavior, values and beliefs preferred in a given professional environment. Also individual time of adaptation to working conditions and reactions for changes need to be considered here. IT teacher performs many tasks connected not only with their didactic and pedagogical tasks but also many specific tasks connected with the subject they teach. Above all he or she should take care for the proper equipment and security of a computer room where the classes take place. Moreover, an IT teacher also has to bring up to date their computer science knowledge, their familiarity with the new trends in IT, programs and tools. Among his tasks the counseling other teachers who use IT technologies in teaching. Professional identification of IT teacher is not only the adaptation to the work environment but also being part of the behaviour, norm and value system of the given school, which serves the improvement in work conditions, methods and effects. IT teachers have the strongest impact on society’s adaptation to conscious use of new technologies. Therefore the recognition of factors determining their professional identification and consequently their work quality, is so important. The article familiarizes the notion of professional identification, work environment, professional tasks and duties of IT teachers and presents the analysis of the conditions of shaping the IT teacher’s identity

We show that the complex analogue, i.e. resilience of the polydisc slicing theorem proven by Oleszkiewicz and Pelczy\'nski, holds for large $p$ and small $n$, but does not hold for any $p > 2$ and large $n$

Metabolic and hormonal effects of a combined Myo-inositol and d-chiro-inositol therapy on patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)

Objectives: To evaluate the effects of a combined Myo-inositol (MI) and D-chiro-inositol (DCI) therapy on the hormonal and metabolic parameters of women with PCOS. Prospective clinical study. Clinical Study registration number — EUPAS25705 Material and methods: Seventy women diagnosed with PCOS according to the Rotterdam criteria were enrolled in this study. Patients received a combined therapy of one tablet that contained 550 mg of inositol (myo-inositol (MI) and D-chiro-inositol (DCI) in a ratio of 10:1) twice a day for 6 months. At each of 3 visits, the body weight, height and BMI were all recorded; and serum levels of free testosterone (fT), sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and glucose with insulin during standard OGTT (75 g) were measured. Also at each visit, transvaginal ultrasonography and skin condition assessments were performed. Results: Significant body weight reduction and decreases in fT, FSH, LH and insulin levels, as well as significant increase of serum SHBG concentrations were observed. Serum glucose levels during OGTT decreased after 6 months of treatment. Also, skin conditions improved after only three months of treatment. Conclusions: Combination of MI and DCI in a ratio 10:1 seems to be efficient in improving both metabolic and hormonal parameters in patients with PCOS.

PCOS and cancer risk.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) affects approximately 5 to 10% of women of reproductive age. It is the most common reason of anovulation in infertile women. PCOS is accompanied by such conditions as oligo- or anovulation, hipertestosteronism, lower cell sensitivity to insulin, type II diabetes, hyperlipidemia and obesity. Each of the above-mentioned conditions is an approved risk factor proved to predispose towards cancer. However, PCOS is also a disease entity which differs in its clinical manifestation. For example not all patients suffer from obesity or hipertestosteronism related symptoms. From the analysis of literature it is possible to draw conclusions, that there is a possible correlation between PCOS and endometrial cancer, which emerges from clinical trials or research focused on molecular changes in endometrium patients with PCOS. On the other hand, correlation between PCOS and breast or ovary cancer is not so strong, in spite of single papers which are showing the link. The main problem in researching the correlation between PCOS and any cancer risk, is there is a very small group of women or the trial is imperfect (e.g. no control group). There is no meta-analysis focused on this correlation in literature. The change of criteria of PCOS in the past is also a big problem, because there was a number of definitions of PCOS, which results in inconsistent PCOS diagnoses over time. In this paper we would like to provide a description of studies that aimed at showing correlation between PCOS and cancer risk and underlying theoretical assumptions

Rola niedoboru inozytolu w patofizjologii zaburzeń występujących w zespole policystycznych jajników

Inositol acts as a second messenger in insulin signaling pathway. Literature data suggest inositol deficiency in insulin-resistant women with the polycystic ovary syndrome. Supplementation of myo-inisitol decreases insulin resistance as it works as an insulin sensitizing agent. The positive role of myo-inositol in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome has been of increased evidence recently. The present review presents the effects of myo-inositol on the ovarian, hormonal and metabolic parameters in women with PCOS.Inozytol jest wewnątrzkomórkowym przekaźnikiem sygnału insulinowego. Dane literaturowe dowodzą, iż u kobiet z zespołem policystycznych jajników do występowania insulinooporności przyczynia się niedobór inozytolu. Stosowanie myo-inozytolu zmniejsza insulinooporność działając jako czynnik uwrażliwiający tkanki na działanie insuliny. Szczególnie korzystne działanie tego związku wykazano w zespole policystycznych jajników. Niniejsza praca jest przeglądem danych literaturowych dotyczących wpływu myo-inositolu na parametry hormonalne, metaboliczne i funkcję jajników kobiet z PCOS

Model realizacji kariery: perspektywa indywidualnych wartości i postaw

This article presents a theoretical career realization model, the basis of which is the assumption that the individual independently shapes his or her career, where career is interpreted as the implementation of accepted values which determine a person’s attitudes and behaviors. The article includes characterizations of contemporary careers, and also an analysis of the issue of values as the basis for action in relation to career realization. The presented model indicates an axiological scope of the career realization process, constituting a proposition for discussion and thought on the methods of interpretation of career, its course and determinants.W artykule została zaprezentowana koncepcja modelu realizacji kariery, której podstawą jest przyjęcie założenia, że jednostka samodzielnie kształtuje swoją karierę, przy czym rozumie się ją jako urzeczywistnianie przyjętych wartości wyznaczających postawy i zachowania człowieka. W opracowaniu dokonano charakterystyki współczesnych karier, a także przeprowadzono analizę problematyki wartości jako podstawy działań związanych z realizacją kariery. Etyczne aspekty realizacji kariery zawodowej

Current situation in the job market, connected with high unemployment rate, uncertain future and lack of stability, makes career realization more and more difficult. Hence, unethical behaviour may occur, leading to psychosocial problems and demoralisation. The goal of this article is to draw attention to ethical aspects of career in the context of its impact on development of various areas of life. The issues concerning contemporary career characteristics, values connected with career realization, working culture and ethical behaviour are discussed in the article.Sytuacja na rynku pracy związana z wysokim poziomem bezrobocia, niepewną przyszłością i niestabilnością zatrudnienia sprawia, że realizacja kariery staje się coraz trudniejsza. Bezpieczeństwo w szkole. Rozpoznanie przejawów i skutków przemocy rówieśniczej w retrospektywnym ujęciu studentów pedagogiki

The article presents a study aimed at revealing the scope and forms of peer violence based on the statements of pedagogy students as witnesses of such incidents during school education. The research employed a qualitative strategy for an in-depth exploration of the issue under study, using a survey questionnaire with open-ended questions. The results of the study indicate that peer violence occurs at all educational stages, but the highest incidence was noted in the older grades of elementary school and in middle school. Various forms of violence were identified, including physical aggression, verbal abuse, social exclusion and cyberbullying. According to the respondents, the effects of violence include lowered self-esteem, social isolation, difficulties in building relationships, and the occurrence of depressive and anxiety symptoms, among others.Artykuł prezentuje badania, których celem było ukazanie skali i form przemocy rówieśniczej na podstawie wypowiedzi studentów pedagogiki jako świadków takich zdarzeń podczas edukacji szkolnej. W badaniach zastosowano strategię jakościową, umożliwiającą pogłębioną eksplorację badanego zagadnienia, z wykorzystaniem kwestionariusza ankiety z pytaniami otwartymi. Wyniki badań wskazują, że przemoc rówieśnicza występuje na wszystkich etapach edukacyjnych, jednak największe jej nasilenie odnotowano w starszych klasach szkoły podstawowej oraz w gimnazjum. Zidentyfikowano różne formy przemocy, w tym: agresję fizyczną, przemoc słowną, wykluczanie społeczne oraz cyberprzemoc. Według badanych skutki przemocy obejmują między innymi obniżenie samooceny, izolację społeczną, trudności w budowaniu relacji oraz występowanie objawów depresyjnych i lękowych
