Securely Outsourcing Large Scale Eigen Value Problem to Public Cloud
Cloud computing enables clients with limited computational power to
economically outsource their large scale computations to a public cloud with
huge computational power. Cloud has the massive storage, computational power
and software which can be used by clients for reducing their computational
overhead and storage limitation. But in case of outsourcing, privacy of
client's confidential data must be maintained. We have designed a protocol for
outsourcing large scale Eigen value problem to a malicious cloud which provides
input/output data security, result verifiability and client's efficiency. As
the direct computation method to find all eigenvectors is computationally
expensive for large dimensionality, we have used power iterative method for
finding the largest Eigen value and the corresponding Eigen vector of a matrix.
For protecting the privacy, some transformations are applied to the input
matrix to get encrypted matrix which is sent to the cloud and then decrypting
the result that is returned from the cloud for getting the correct solution of
Eigen value problem. We have also proposed result verification mechanism for
detecting robust cheating and provided theoretical analysis and experimental
result that describes high-efficiency, correctness, security and robust
cheating resistance of the proposed protocol

Synthesis of Novel Heterocyclic N-Oxide Glycosides: Glycosylation of Myxin Analogs
Phenazines and heterocyclic N-oxides have proven to be interesting classes of antitumoral as well as antibiotic agents . The natural product myxin (1-hydroxy-6-methoxyphenazine- N5, N10-dioxide) which belongs to both of these unique classes of molecules, has been found to cause bio-reductively activated, radical-mediated DNA strand cleavage via a de-oxygenative mechanism, making it a potential anti-tumoral as well as anti-bactierial candidate. In order to investigate as well as improve the bioactive properties of myxin, the following study was designed to synthesize glycosylated myxin analogs. A small catalog of these compounds were synthesized, some of them exhibiting comparable biological activity to that of myxin
Impact of Green Marketing Mix (7p) on Customer Satisfaction: A Study on Natural Gas
Natural gas is one kind of environment friendly product and researcher can use green marketing mix for satisfying the customers. It becomes an increasingly important sector in Bangladesh. The main intent of this study is to examine the impact of green marketing mix (7Ps) elements on natural gas customer satisfaction. The data of this paper were collected by using structured questionnaire from sample of 100 people from Chittagong district of Bangladesh. Data were analyzed with the help of software SPSS by using the statistical techniques regression. The findings of the study showed distribution and price negatively affect the satisfaction levels of natural gas users. So some recommendations have been given for future improvement in customer satisfaction. Data Reduction and Deep-Learning Based Recovery for Geospatial Visualization and Satellite Imagery
The storage, retrieval and distribution of data are some critical aspects of big data management. Data scientists and decision-makers often need to share large datasets and make decisions on archiving or deleting historical data to cope with resource constraints. As a consequence, there is an urgency of reducing the storage and transmission requirement.
A potential approach to mitigate such problems is to reduce big datasets into smaller ones, which will not only lower storage requirements but also allow light load transfer over the network. The high dimensional data often exhibit high repetitiveness and paradigm across different dimensions. Carefully prepared data by removing redundancies, along with a machine learning model capable of reconstructing the whole dataset from its reduced version, can improve the storage scalability, data transfer, and speed up the overall data management pipeline.
In this thesis, we explore some data reduction strategies for big datasets, while ensuring that the data can be transferred and used ubiquitously by all stakeholders, i.e., the entire dataset can be reconstructed with high quality whenever necessary. One of our data reduction strategies follows a straightforward uniform pattern, which guarantees a minimum of 75% data size reduction. We also propose a novel variance based reduction technique, which focuses on removing only redundant data and offers additional 1% to 2% deletion rate. We have adopted various traditional machine learning and deep learning approaches for high-quality reconstruction. We evaluated our pipelines with big geospatial data and satellite imageries. Among them, our deep learning approaches have performed very well both quantitatively and qualitatively with the capability of reconstructing high quality features. We also show how to leverage temporal data for better reconstruction. For uniform deletion, the reconstruction accuracy observed is as high as 98.75% on an average for spatial meteorological data (e.g., soil moisture and albedo), and 99.09% for satellite imagery. Pushing the deletion rate further by following variance based deletion method, the decrease in accuracy remains within 1% for spatial meteorological data and 7% for satellite imagery
Atlantic Cod (Gadus morhua L.) Broodstock Nutrition: The Role Of Arachidonic Acid And Astaxanthin As Determinants Of Egg Quality
Cod hatcheries rely greatly on wild-caught broodstock as egg quality from farm-reared broodstock tends to be poor. Broodstock diet and levels of essential fatty acids have been linked to fecundity and egg quality in cod. Arachidonic acid (ARA) and astaxanthin (Ax) are important nutrients linked to fish egg quality and differences in levels have ben found between eggs from wild and farmed cod. The aim of this thesis was to investigate the impact of dietary supplementation with ARA and Ax on fecundity and egg quality in cod. The first experiment investigated the effect of feeding a diet supplemented with ARA, for 1, 2 or 3 months prior to peak spawning. Results showed that supplementation increased ARA in eggs and that Groups fed the supplement had improved fecundity and egg quality (though with no correlation between the duration of supplementation and number/quality of eggs). The second experiment investigated the effect of supplementation of Ax in broodstock diets on egg quality in farmed cod and showed that Ax was taken up into eggs and that fish fed supplemented diet had improved fecundity and egg quality. The third experiment compared the effect of diet supplementation with ARA and Ax on egg quality in wild and farmed cod and showed that despite the dietary supplementation, wild origin fish performed better on a number of egg quality and fecundity indices. However, it was not possible to take the greater ages and spawning experience of the wild broodstock into account, which may have influenced the results. The fourth experiment measured lipid and fatty acid profiles of eggs from two UK cod hatcheries. Variation was found between farms and across seasons. Results showed that supplementation of cod broodstock diet with ARA and Ax had a positive impact on egg quality and fecundity, although effects were not consistent across all egg quality parameters
Ecological Marketing Practices for Creating Competitive Advantage
