New records and geographic distribution map of Bothropoides diporus Cope, 1862 (Reptilia: Viperidae)

We provide two new records of Bothropoides diporus for Neuquén province, northern Patagonia, Argentina. Both records are the second and third for this species in this province. One of these records, from the northern slope of Auca Mahuida Mountain, extends approximately 120 km to the north the present known geographic distribution of this species in Neuquén province.Fil: Minoli, Ignacio. Study of a hot asphalt mixture response based on energy concepts

The main objective of the research reported in this paper is to determine the response of a hot mix asphalt (HMA) in terms of both the tensile strength and energy parameters (based on the assessment of the force-displacement curve) as potential tools for improving the HMA mixture design. The HMAs analyzed were fabricated using a 60-70 penetration asphalt binder, dense-graded aggregate, mineral filler, and different types and contents of mineral filler replacements (i.e., lime, cement, and fly ash). The indirect tensile test was conducted to determine both the HMA tensile strength and force-displacement curve, which allowed for the computation of the HMA toughness as well as the energies involved in the process before and after reaching the tensile strength. Corresponding results suggest that the replacement of mineral filler by cement, lime, and fly ash modified the HMA response in terms of both the tensile strength and energy parameters. In addition, analysis of the energy parameters discussed proved to be useful for determining the optimum mineral filler content of HMA. Consequently, analysis of these energy parameters can benefit the HMA mixture design process. // El objetivo principal de la investigación fue determinar el comportamiento de una mezcla asfáltica en función de la resistencia a la tracción indirecta y parámetros de energía (calculados en función de la curva fuerza-desplazamiento) como herramientas potenciales para mejorar el diseño de mezclas asfálticas. Las mezclas asfálticas analizadas fueron fabricadas con asfalto de penetración 60/70, granulometría cerrada md10 y relleno mineral en diferentes porcentajes y materiales (cal, cemento y ceniza volante). El ensayo de tracción indirecta se utilizó para determinar la resistencia máxima a la tracción y la curva fuerza-desplazamiento, a partir de la cual se calcularon la tenacidad de la mezcla y las energías involucradas en el proceso antes y después de alcanzar la resistencia máxima. Los resultados obtenidos sugieren que reemplazar el relleno mineral por cemento, cal o ceniza volante modifica el comportamiento de la mezcla asfáltica en términos de la resistencia a la tracción y los parámetros de energía. Adicionalmente, el análisis de los parámetros de energía discutidos es útil para establecer el contenido óptimo del relleno mineral. Geometry of T-duality

A "reduced" differential geometry adapted to the presence of abelian isometries is constructed.Classical T-duality diagonalizes in this setting, allowing us to get conveniently the transformation of the relevant geometrical objects such as connections, pullbacks and generalized curvatures.Moreover we can induce privileged maps from the viewpoint of the covariant derivatives in the target-space and in the world-sheet generalizing previous results, at the same time that we can correct connections and curvatures covariantly in order to have a proper transformation under T-duality.Comment: Latex, 18 page

THE EXPLANATORY POWER OF TRUST AND COMMITMENT AND STAKEHOLDERS’ SALIENCE: THEIR INFLUENCE ON THE REVERSE LOGISTICS PROGRAMS PERFORMANCE

There is a growing awareness among practitioners and scholars regarding the importance of Relationship Marketing and its advantages in the supply chain management context. This is particularly appropriate for Reverse Logistics (RL) activities, which are characterized by several relationships between different stakeholders and the firm. Drawing on multiple theoretical approaches, we propose that RL programs result from the combination of external, organizational, and individual factors. We emphasize the role of trust and commitment as key influential elements on the RL systems implementation and their subsequent performance.

Adaptation and Validation of the Mind-Wandering Questionnaire (MWQ) in Physical Education Classes and Analysis of Its Role as Mediator between Teacher and Anxiety

Physical education (PE) classes are one of the primary means of adopting healthy lifestyles and contribute greatly to personal well-being. However, it is necessary that students pay attention and do not enter a mind-wandering state as this can be negative for the purposes of PE classes. Therefore, we adapted and validated the Mind-Wandering Questionnaire (MWQ) to the Spanish PE context and analyzed the influence of the teacher on this new variable. Two independent samples of high school students between the ages of 13 and 19 participated in the study. In order to assess the psychometric properties of the MWQ, various analyses were carried out. The results of the confirmatory factorial analysis (CFA) provided support for the structure of the questionnaire. The structure of the model was gender-invariant. The Cronbach alpha value was higher than 0.70 and showed an adequate level of temporal stability. In addition, we present a second study in which high school students between the ages of 13 and 19 participated, and which are independent of the first study. The analyses in this study were mainly based on structural equation modelling, and demonstrated the teacher’s influence on mind-wandering and showed that mind-wandering acted as a predictor of anxiety in high school students. The results of this study provided evidence of the reliability and validity of the MWQ in the Spanish PE context

Cultura ecológica: los jóvenes de secundaria de la ciudad de Monterrey y su área metropolitana.

Las contribuciones desde la perspectiva de la psicología social a la investigación de asuntos del medio ambiente son cada vez mayores dado que contemplan cuestiones que tienen que ver con la sociedad, lugar donde se genera la problemática ambiental. El objetivo de este trabajo fue explorar desde la teoría de las representaciones sociales aspectos de la cultura de los estudiantes de tercero de secundaria respecto a cuestiones de medio ambiente y ecología tales como el nivel de conocimiento objetivo, las atribuciones de los jóvenes sobre las fuentes de éste conocimiento y la percepción que tienen en cuanto a las actividades ecológicas que se llevan a cabo en el contexto propio. Los sujetos fueron 555 estudiantes de tercer año de secundaria de tres escuelas públicas de la ciudad de Monterrey y su área metropolitana pertenecientes a tres estratos socioeconómicos diferentes. Los datos del estudio mostraron que los estudiantes de los tres estratos socioeconómicos tienen bajos niveles de conocimiento ambiental y sobre todo, altos niveles de ignorancia referente a las cuestiones ambientales; además, que los estudiantes atribuyen como fuente de sus conocimientos en este tema en primer lugar a la familia, en segundo a la televisión y en tercero a sus maestros; asimismo refieren actividades de cuidado del ambiente principalmente en el hogar, en segundo la escuela y en tercero la colonia. No se encontraron diferencias significativas entre los estratos respecto al nivel de conocimiento y de ignorancia, sin embargo si se encontraron diferencias significativas en las actividades en el contexto familia y escuela
