SCREENING of PARAMETERS for SOLID-STATE FERMENTATION OF Aspergillus niger PRODUCING CELLULOSE USING SUGARCANE BAGASSE AS SUBSTRATE
Microï¬brillated cellulose (MFC) is a promising biomaterial in bionanocomposites production because of its renewable and eco-friendly properties. Conventional methods to produce MFC such as acid hydrolysis and mechanical treatment posed significant drawbacks; large amount of acid is required and increased defibrillation of alpha cellulose, respectively. Therefore, an appropriate method is very important in obtaining desired features of MFC such as high mechanical strength, high surface and low density properties. The utilization of agro-industry wastes such as sugarcane bagasse for MFC production could help to reduce the problem of lignocellulosic wastes. Thus, this study aimed to treat the sugarcane bagasse using fungal cellulases hydrolysis as a pretreatment method thus assisting the fibrillation of fiber cellulose via ultrasonication. The effects of solid-state fermentation of Aspergillus niger on cellulases activities and morphological changes of sugarcane bagasse (SCB) were investigated. Variables such as sugarcane bagasse particle size (400 and 600 µm), inoculum size (2% and 5%), medium pH (5 and 7), and fermentation time (5 and 15 days) were screened using 2-level factorial design (Design expert software, Stat-Ease Inc., Version 8.0). Analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that the most significant parameter that affected the structural changes of sugarcane bagasse was its particle size. The increased glucose production indicated the increased of defibrillation of sugarcane bagasse. The use of fungal pretreatment through solid state fermentation of Aspergillus niger prior to ultrasonication was found to assist the later process in fibrillating sugarcane fibres. The results obtained from enzyme assays, optical microscope, SEM and FTIR showed the supporting evidence about the successful fibrillation cellulose of SCB
STUDENTS’ RESPONSES TO THE USE OF WORDWALL AS A LEARNING MEDIA FOR NEWS TEXTS IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
This research is motivated by the low interest and learning outcomes of students in understanding news text material in class VII G, which is caused by the use of conventional learning media that is less interesting. The purpose of this study is to describe student responses in improving student learning outcomes in news text material. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The subjects of the study were 24 students in class VII G. Data were collected through an open questionnaire that was analyzed qualitatively to determine student responses to the use of Wordwall. The results showed that the majority of students gave positive responses to Wordwall media. They felt that learning was more fun, interactive, and easy to understand. This media is also able to increase student motivation and concentration during learning. In addition, students feel more challenged and motivated to answer practice questions because of its attractive appearance and competitive scoring system. The conclusion of this study is that the use of Wordwall as an interactive learning media is effective in increasing student interest and understanding of news text material. Therefore, teachers are advised to utilize digital media such as Wordwall as an alternative in a creative and innovative learning process

REGIONAL LANGUAGE EXCLUSION IN DIGITAL LEARNING: THE IMPACT OF LANGUAGE POLICY ON EDUCATION ACCESS IN REMOTE AREAS
This research aims to examine various forms of regional language exclusion in the context of digital learning and its implications for language policy and access to education in remote areas. The approach employed is library research, involving a thorough review of various scientific journals, books, and relevant policy documents from the past decade. The study's findings indicate that regional language exclusion is reflected in several aspects, including the unavailability of learning content in local languages, a lack of teacher training related to the use of local languages, and centrally designed curricula that do not consider local linguistic diversity. This has resulted in increasing educational inequality, especially in 3T areas, where students struggle to understand the material due to the language of instruction being different from their mother tongue. This research reinforces the sociocultural constructivist perspective and a multilocal literacy approach, demonstrating a strong relationship between linguistic exclusion and disparities in access to digital education. The absence of regional languages in digital learning has broader implications, not only for students' understanding but also for their cultural identity and participation in learning. As a form of solution, this research recommends the implementation of culturally and contextually based digital learning strategies, such as the creation of bilingual content, teacher training in translingual approaches, and flexible and responsive educational policies to linguistic diversity. The integration of regional languages into digital systems is believed to create a fairer, more inclusive, and relevant education. The main contribution of this research lies in strengthening the direction of policies and educational practices that prioritize social and cultural justice in the digital era

Instructional Materials on Legend Texts Based on Local Wisdom for Junior High School Students
One of the strategic efforts to internalize local wisdom values is through the design, development, and implementation of instructional materials rooted in local cultural heritage. However, in practice—particularly in the city of Cirebon—existing teaching materials have yet to adequately reflect the richness of local identity and traditions. This study aims to (1) describe the design of supplementary teaching materials informed by a needs analysis of students, and (2) examine the outcomes of implementing legend-based instructional materials for seventh-grade students at the junior secondary school level (SMP/MTs). Employing a descriptive-analytical research method, this study seeks to analyze both the development process and the effectiveness of the localized legend text materials. The findings indicate that the developed teaching materials are highly valid and suitable for classroom use, although minor revisions are required to enhance the overall quality and completeness of the textbook
