An eddy-correlation measurement of NO2 flux to vegetation and comparison to O3 flux
Eddy-correlation measurements with a newly developed fast-response NOx sensor indicate that the deposition velocity at a height of about 6m above a soybean field has a maximum value near 0.6cms-1 for NOx and is usually about 2/3 ofthat found for ozone. In these studies, over 90% of the NOx is NO2. The corresponding minimum surface resistance for NOx calculated as the quantity remaining after atmospheric resistances are subtracted is about 1.3 s cm-1, which is larger than expected on the basis of leaf stomatal resistance alone. Emission of NO from sites in the plant canopy and soil where NO2 is deposited and reduced to NO or release of NOx as a result of biological activity may have lessened the downward fluxes of NOx as measured. During windy conditions at night, surface resistances are found to have values of about 15scm-1 for NOx (again, greater than 90% NO2) and 1.8scm-1 for O3, corresponding to deposition velocities of 0.05cms-1 and 0.3cms-1, respectively.Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/24138/1/0000395.pd
A importância da amamentação na primeira hora de vida: análise da literatura atual / The importance of breastfeeding in the first hour of life: analysis of current literature
Este estudo tem por objetivo geral: analisar as publicações científicas referentes a importância da amamentação na primeira hora de vida. E como objetivos específicos: caracterizar as publicações científicas encontradas na literatura atual sobre a importância da amamentação na primeira hora de vida; descrever a importância da amamentação na primeira hora de vida e os seus efeitos benéficos para o binômio. Esta pesquisa é da modalidade revisão integrativa, de caráter descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa. Foram selecionadas as bases de dados da SCIELO e da LILACS e destas, utilizando os descritores “Amamentação” AND “Mãe” AND “Recém-nascido”, foram encontrados diversos artigos, que. mediante aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão da pesquisa, incluíram-se 6 publicações. Os resultados mostram predomínio de publicações no ano de 2016. Todas as publicações apresentaram pontos importantes sobre a amamentação na primeira hora de vida, destacando-se aspectos imprescindíveis, tais como: interação precoce entre o binômio; diminuição do estresse neonatal e estabilização da respiração do bebê; fortalecimento de vínculo entre o binômio e redução da mortalidade neonatal. Porém, houve publicações que mostraram os déficits nos serviços de saúde, expondo a falta de interesse profissional na realização da amamentação na primeira hora de vida, e também dos hospitais de aderirem a esse cuidado. Conclui-se que, existem benefícios para o binômio no que discerne a amamentação na primeira hora de vida; e que é preciso incentivar os profissionais e instituições de saúde sobre a importância da amamentação neste contexto
Síndromes raras na infância: um estudo de revisão integrativa: Rare syndromes in childhood: an integrative review study
Tem-se por objetivo analisar produções científicas na literatura sobre síndromes raras na infância. Estudo da modalidade revisão integrativa, que utilizou as seguintes bases de dados para a sua construção: Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde – LILACS, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online – MEDLINE, Google acadêmico e Scientific Electronic Library Online – SciELO. A pesquisa nestas bases de dados ocorreu em julho, ano de 2022, guiada pela questão de pesquisa: quais as principais síndromes raras na infância encontradas na literatura nos últimos vinte anos? Foi preciso definir alguns critérios de inclusão para a pesquisa, que foram: estudos completos, gratuitos, publicados entre 2000 e 2022, em português, inglês e espanhol. O estudo reuniu 6 artigos sobre o tema, organizados em quadro único. As síndromes raras na infância são condições clínicas que precisam de detecção precoce, conforme exposto nos principais resultados deste estudo, e ainda, o acompanhamento multiprofissional é primordial para a efetividade do cuidado em saúde e coletivo
Reactive Uptake of Sulfur Dioxide and Ozone on Volcanic Glass and Ash at Ambient Temperature
The atmospheric impacts of volcanic ash from explosive eruptions are rarely considered alongside those of volcanogenic gases/aerosols. While airborne particles provide solid surfaces for chemical reactions with trace gases in the atmosphere, the reactivity of airborne ash has seldom been investigated. Here we determine the total uptake capacity (NiM) and initial uptake coefficient (γM) for sulfur dioxide (SO2) and ozone (O3) on a compositional array of volcanic ash and glass powders at ~25°C in a Knudsen flow reactor. The measured ranges of NiSO2 and γSO2 (1011–1013 molecules cm−2 and 10−3–10−2) and NiO3 and γO3 (1012–1013 molecules cm−2 and 10−3–10−2) are comparable to values reported for mineral dust. Differences in ash and glass reactivity toward SO2 and O3 may relate to varying abundances of, respectively, basic and reducing sites on these materials. The typically lower SO2 and O3 uptake on ash compared to glass likely results from prior exposure of ash surfaces to acidic and oxidizing conditions within the volcanic eruption plume/cloud. While sequential uptake experiments overall suggest that these gases do not compete for reactive surface sites, SO2 uptake forming adsorbed S(IV) species may enhance the capacity for subsequent O3 uptake via redox reaction forming adsorbed S(VI) species. Our findings imply that ash emissions may represent a hitherto neglected sink for atmospheric SO2 and O3

Application of fundamental analysis in formation of a securities portfolio.
In this bachelor thesis the indicators, used in fundamental analysis, are analyzed and their relationship with the company's share prices are assessed. The work consists of three main parts: analysis of scientific literature, description of research methodology, research with summary of results. Conclusions and suggestions for further research are also provided. During the analysis of scientific literature, the concept of fundamental analysis method and application principles are described. The method of technical analysis, which is also applied in securities analysis, is presented. The advantages and disadvantages of these methods are highlighted. The indicators used in the fundamental analysis and their possible connection with stock prices are named. In the research quarterly economic, sectoral and corporate financial data for the period 2012-2021 are used. Correlation analysis is performed by calculating correlation coefficients between the share price and the identified indicators. The results of the study showed that a strong relationship with the stock price is observed in the analysis of earnings per share, capitalization and inventory turnover. There are also differences between sectors results. The conclusions and suggestions provide a summary of the theoretical part and the research. The need for analysis of identified indicators by sector is presented as a suggestion for further research. Attention should also be paid to the company's business plan and applicable policies
