Values in the Drama of Islamic History: An Analytical Study of the Conquest of Andalus Series
The study aimed to know the most prominent values in the drama of Islamic history, which the Conquest of Al-Andalus series focused on. It is a descriptive study in which the survey method was used to analyze the content of a deliberate sample of 33 episodes of the Conquest of Andalus series. The results of the study concluded that the three basic frameworks that the Conquest of Andalus series focused on, and made them more prominent, and repetitive in content are; The frameworks of military values in Islam, the frameworks of the values of advocacy and jihad, and the frameworks of the human values of Islam. The results indicated that the five most prominent Islamic values on which the Fatah Al-Andalus series focused are; The value of justice and fairness, the value of achieving victory, the value of advocacy, the value of steadfastness and patience, the value of fulfilling the covenant, that the drama of Islamic history had a positive role in promoting Islamic values in society
Investigation in Gas-Oil Two-Phase Flow using a Differential Pressure Transducer and Wire Mesh Sensor in Vertical Pipes
The current study is performed to identify the flow regimes of oil-gas two-phase flow experimentally in a vertical pipe has an internal diameter of 6.7 cm. It also aims to provide more details about the possibility of using Differential Pressure Transducers (DPT) for indicating flow patterns. A flow development of oil and gas has been investigated in a vertical pipe of 6 m in length and operated at atmospheric pressure. A series of experiments have been run to cover a range of inlet oil superficial velocities from 0.262 to 0.419 m/s, and inlet gas superficial velocities from 0.05 to 4.7 m/s. Wire Mesh Sensors (WMS) have been used to collect the obtained void fraction values of the flow. The Differential Pressure Transducer (DPT) is utilized to measure the pressure drop values of a one-meter along the pipe. The flow patterns are classified according to the analysis of void fractions, pressure gradients regarding time series, tomographic images, probability density functions of the void fractions, and pressure gradients. A bubbly flow is observed at low superficial velocities of gas and liquid, slug flow is observed at the lower flow rate of liquid and moderate flow rates of gas, while the churn flow pattern is recognized at the higher rates of liquid and gas. Also, the result has revealed the possibility of using Differential Pressure Transducers (DPT) to classify the gas-oil flow patterns in vertical pipes
Evaluation of Selenium and Chloride levels in both sera and saliva samples in renal stone former patients
The study included 40 patients (27 males and 13 females) with renal and ureteric stones were submitted to lithotripsy unit in Al-Yarmook Hospital, Baghdad-Iraq, their mean ages were (39±14) and 14 apparently healthy controls were enrolled in this study their mean ages were (38±12) .
The study objected to evaluate the serum and saliva levels of selenium (Se) and Chloride (Cl) in patients with stones and healthy as controls to find a
possible relation between these elements and stone formation.
Selenium and chloride were measured both in sera and saliva, the results showed that the mean value of serum and saliva selenium levels in stone former
patients were statistically significant lower compared with healthy controls (p<0.0001, 0.002) respectively, while the mean value serum chloride level in stone former patients were significantly higher than healthy controls (p< 0.018).
This study showed that we can use serum and saliva selenium and serum chloride as a biomarker in renal stone former patients
