COMPUTATIONAL STUDIES OF SIRTUINS IN THE TREATMENT OF TYPE II DIABETES MELLITUS
Ageing in humans refers to a biological process of life engaged with physical, psychological, and social changes. Different species of animals age at radically different paces and occurrences of diseases. Drug designing approaches related to an aging factor, Type 2 Diabetes mellitus has been reported in the present study. Resveratrol and human Sirtuins (1 to 6) are docked against Type 2 Diabetes mellitus HNF-1a motif with PDB ID: 2GYP using Hex 5.1. Resveratrol and Sirtuin 6 shown good results and can use as anti-aging drugs against Type 2 Diabetes mellitus

Knowledge sharing among Research scholars leveraging Academic Social Networking Sites for the purpose of Research Collaboration: a study
The key objective of this study is to investigate the awareness of research scholars towards Academic Social Networking Sites (ASNSs) like Academia.edu, Research Gate, Pen profile, LinkedIn, Google Scholar, etc. These sites opened a window for research scholars to know each other by setting up their interest profiles, uploading their scholarly works, and current trends in the subject area, precisely ASNSs paved the way for communication among research scholars in engineering and technology in particularly Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada (JNTUK). The author adopted a survey method using a simple indiscriminate sampling technique on a structured questionnaire to the research scholars randomly. In this study, the author specialized on two facets (further adopted two-dimensional methods) one is Research collaboration (RC) and Knowledge sharing (KS). This study helps universities in finding out various academic activities of its scholars in particular as well as the university in general
Analytical solution of MHD free convective flow of couple stress fluid in an annulus with Hall and ion-slip effects
This paper presents the Hall and Ion-slip effects on electrically conducting couple stress fluid flow between two circular cylinders in the presence of a temperature dependent heat source. The governing non-linear partial differential equations are transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations and then solved using homotopy analysis method (HAM). The effects of the magnetic parameter, Hall parameter, Ion-slip parameter and couple stress fluid parameter on velocity and temperature are discussed and shown graphically
A Novel Information Extraction Approach Employing Hierarchical Clustering Techniques with A Focus on Attribute Similarity Values
Data mining technique developed in vast manner. It mainly used over in information retrieval, information filtering, Data retrieval techniques. In scientific world data mining techniques used over in hospital management, Schools, colleges, public libraries, shopping complexes, space research foundation. Data Mining refers to extracting the information. Many Algorithms are used over in Data mining area. Agglomerative hierarchical technique uses top down approach. Certain arrangements are made over in this algorithm in hierarchical manner. Hierarchical algorithm mainly used for time consuming process
Dynamical behavior of Predator-Prey with Allee Effect on Both Populations and Disease in Predator
In the current study, we took into account a model of nonlinear
``predator-prey'' interactions including the ``Allee effect'' on both
populations and disease in the predator population. The population as a whole
is split into three: the prey population, susceptible predator, and diseased
predator. The ``Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) impulsive control model'' and the Fuzzy
impulsive control model have been used to test the stability of the
three-dimensional ``Lotka-Volterra predator-prey system'' model. Following the
model's formulation, the global-stability and the fuzzy solution are examined
using numerical simulations and graphical displays, together with the necessary
consultation, to help comprehend the effectiveness of our suggested model
A study of mediastinal tumours in a tertiary care centre: a retrospective study
Background: Recent advances in diagnostic and surgical techniques have brought major changes in the clinical presentation, diagnosis and the surgical management of mediastinal masses. Indian literature in this scenario is deficient, which our retrospective descriptive study aims to address. Methods: Details of patients operated for mediastinal masses from January 2007 November 2013 in two units at NIMS were collected. Clinical presentation, symptomatology, radiological/pathological findings, surgical approaches, intraoperative/immediate/intermediate post-operative results were evaluated and analysed. Results: Of the 75 patients, (48 males, range 10 years to 65 years) 2 deaths were due to complications following exacerbation of myasthenia gravis, and two patients died due to post-operative bleeding. Thymicneoplasms were the most common, followed by neurogenic tumours. Most common presentation was myasthenia gravis, followed by nonspecific back pain. 4% of patients had symptoms due to local compressive effects. Tumour was in the anterior mediastinum, middle and posterior mediastinum in 53, 16 and 6 cases respectively. Surgery done with a curative intent was through sternotomy (59), posterolateral thoracotomy (14), and combined sternotomy and cervical route (2). Residual tumour was present in 5 cases due to nerve involvement. Follow up was 98% (2 months to 6 years). 3 patients died of unrelated causes and one developed multiple lung metastases. 2 patients with neurogenic tumours developed recurrence. Conclusions: Inadequately optimized myasthenia patients and superior vena cava obstruction are poor prognostic factors. Complete excision may not be possible in neurogenic extension to spine even with concomitant neurosurgery. Neurological infiltration has a poorer prognosis
MOLECULAR ANALYSIS OF STREPTOCOCCUS THERMOPHILUS SUPPORTING PROBIOTIC ACTION TOWARDS DRUG TARGETS
Streptococcus thermophilus is a Gram-positive facultative anaerobe with probiotic action. Nearly 2070 genes arepredicted in complete genome out of which 566 genes are related to hypothetical and uncharacterized genes. Thepredicted gene percent obtained by characterization of complete genome of S.thermophilus is 72.67% with 25functional categories. There is high number of transport, protein synthesis, binding and cell envelop proteins thatdon’t have pathogen responses. The genes ptsK, glgP, malQ, lacZ, amyL, scrB, etc are related to energy metabolism(with biodegradation and synthesis of polysaccharides) are found in chromosome CNRZ 1066. The genes such asglgP, malQ, lacZ and amyl had shown direct interactions that has not found direct link with scrB gene. All theproteins are observed with more the 50 percent identities that are present in homology models
The Pace of Digital Libraries: Academic libraries perspective
Digital libraries are playing a prominent role in information services in general and information retrieval in particular. Users are giving more preference to digital than print resources. The metamorphosis of libraries from traditional to digital, information services to access providers, Document custodians to Knowledge managers forced library professionals to evolve themselves as information providers. The topics like a user-centric digital library system, leverage of social media in digital library services and other aspects are discussed in detail
