El derecho humano a la práctica del deporte. Una propuesta desde y para la Constitución mexicana.

La práctica del deporte tiene casi cuatro décadas de haber sido señalada por primera vez como un derecho humano. Sin embargo, ha sido en las últimas dos décadas en las que ha sido reconocida como tal, principalmente en textos constitucionales latinoamericanos. México ha sido uno de los últimos países en sumarse a ese reconocimiento constitucional. Ante esa realidad, resulta indispensable discutir qué significa dicho reconocimiento y cuál es su contenido, alcances y límites de este joven derecho humano. Ante los escasos estudios de este tema y más desde una perspectiva de derechos humanos, en este artículo se proponen algunas ideas de la forma en la cual podría caracterizarse y configurarse el derecho humano a la práctica del deporte. No sólo para México que es la norma base de estudio, sino con el fin de alcanzar un entendimiento más amplio que permita que dicho derecho sea una realidad y no sólo retórica discursiva positivizada

Validating EE.PIP-NEO-3 questionnaire and investigating relations between personality traits and excessive internet use

Käesolevas töös uuriti uue isiksuseküsimustiku EE.PIP-NEO-3 psühhomeetrilisi omadusi ja võrreldi neid EE.PIP-NEO (Mõttus, Pullmann & Allik, 2006) vastavate omadustega, et hinnata selle sobivust Suure Viisiku isiksuseomaduste mõõtmisel. Seejärel kasutati EE.PIP-NEO-3 küsimustikku, et uurida seoseid Suure Viisiku isiksuseomaduste ja interneti liigkasutamise vahel. Valimiks oli 1694 inimest, kes täitsid 256 küsimusega küsitluse, mille tulemusi analüüsiti. Järeldati, et kõik need EE.PIP-NEO-3 psühhomeetrilised omadused, mida selles töös uuriti, olid sarnased EE.PIP-NEO vastavatele omadustele ning seetõttu oli selle küsimustiku kasutamine isiksuseomaduste mõõtmisel antud töös õigustatud. The result is this report on the dominant and missing stories in coverage of gentrification and displacement in the Bay. With contributions from anti-displacement groups in SF and Oakland and the Miami Workers Center, research support from the DataCenter, and poetry by Roopa Singh, Displacing the Dream promises to be a groundbreaking tool to support creative communications strategies for organizers in the Bay and beyond. As of 2006, Oakland and San Francisco had each lost 20-25% of their African American populations. Displacing the Dream exposes the failure of Bay Area newspapers to adequately cover the crisis of gentrification and displacement facing the Bay Area today. La lexicografía vasca a lo largo de la historia

This paper is divided into two parts: the first one deals briefly with the history of Basque lexicography, from its origins (the Emilian Glosses) up to the Basque-Basque dictionary Orotariko Euskal Hiztegia – Diccionario General Vasco, consisting of 16 volumes, finished in 2005. In the second part the most important procedures which the Basque language has, like any other, to create and renew its vocabulary are studied: composition, derivation and borrowing. The latter has been by far the most controversial, due to the secular claim of the alleged purity of Basque on behalf of its defenders, with Larramendi as their front man. This purist sector, by no means a minority in the history of the Basque language, has denied Basque the use of linguistic loans (including, of course, vocabulary), has chosen a different way (neologisms based on composition or derivation) for the coining of new concepts and, what is more critical, for the expression of existing concepts for which Basque already had words borrowed from other languages. Modern Basque Lexicography has proven successful in overcoming these prejudices and in collecting and analysing the Basque vocabulary without ignoring one of its definitory features (loanwords), as Basque has traditionally been a language that has always lived in contact with other languages.Este trabajo está dividido en dos partes. En la primera se hace un breve recorrido por la historia de la lexicografía vasca, desde sus orígenes (las Glosas Emilianenses) hasta el Orotariko Euskal Hiztegia - Diccionario General Vasco, en 16 volúmenes, concluido en 2005. En la segunda parte se analizan los procedimientos más importantes con los que cuenta la lengua vasca, como cualquier otra, para crear y renovar su léxico: composición, derivación y préstamo. Este último ha sido el que más controversia ha generado, debido a la reivindicación secular de la supuesta pureza del vascuence por parte de sus apologistas. Este sector purista, nada minoritario en la historia de la lengua vasca, ha negado al euskera la posibilidad del préstamo lingüístico (incluido, claro está, el léxico), optando por otra vía (el neologismo, basado en la composición o en la derivación) para la expresión de nuevos conceptos y, lo que resulta más grave, de viejos conceptos para los cuales el euskera ya contaba con alguna voz, eso sí, prestada de otra lengua. La lexicografía vasca moderna ha tenido el mérito de superar tales prejuicios y recopilar y analizar el léxico vasco sin prescindir de uno de sus rasgos definitorios (el préstamo) al tratarse el euskera de una lengua que siempre ha vivido en contacto con otras lenguas

La crisis alimentaria, iniciada en 2007 debido al alza de los precios internacionales de los alimentos, está teniendo serias consecuencias en términos económicos y nutricionales en el África Subsahariana. No obstante, representa simplemente el agravamiento de una situación crónica con unas altas tasas de subnutrición, las más altas del mundo, derivadas de diferentes factores estructurales. Calculation of Blast Loads for Application to Structural Components. Administrative Arrangement No JRC 32253-2011 with DG-HOME Activity A5 - Blast Simulation Technology Development

This technical report describes a procedure that can be followed for the calculation of the loads to be applied to a structure as a consequence of a blast. The report considers explosions taking place outside a building, which are not addressed directly at the relevant European Standards (Eurocode EN1991-1-7) dealing with accidental loading scenarios. The aim is the production of a simple, self-contained guide enabling the structural engineer to conduct a preliminary design of buildings for possible terrorist attacks. Aspects of the theory of blast waves have been included at an introductory level. The approach of the empirical methods for the prediction of blast loads has been chosen, which is more straightforward and has resulted from extensive experimental testing. For the determination of the main blast parameters, several graphs and diagrams have been included, which have been collected and properly adapted from several authoritative sources. This should make the load calculation procedure easier to grasp and less demanding in terms of mathematical complexity and computational capacity. Selected case studies are also presented in order to demonstrate through simplified examples the steps that must be followed for the calculation of blast pressures on the surfaces of a structure.JRC.G.4-European laboratory for structural assessmen
