The topic of the bachelor thesis is lending to individuals with non-banks in the current situation of the Czech Republic. It focuses primarily on the assessment system of individuals nonbank companies and determining the creditworthiness of individuals and conditions of cash loans for existing and new clients. The comparison is made on the basis of analysis of the client's choice nonbank companies.

A variational multiscale method for turbulent flow simulation with adaptive large scale space

    Get PDF
In turbulent flows it is only feasible to simulate large flow structures. Variational multiscale (VMS) methods define these flow structures by projections into appropriate function spaces. This paper presents a finite element VMS method which defines the large scale projection space adaptively. The adaption controls the influence of an eddy viscosity model and it is based on the size of the so–called resolved small scales. The adaptive procedure is described in detail. Numerical studies at a turbulent channel flow and a turbulent flow around a cylinder are presented. It is shown that the method selects the large scale space in a correct way and that appropriately chosen parameters improve the results compared to the basic method, which uses the same local large scale space in the whole domain and for all times

Bachelor thesis focuses on the design of the house for sports minded family of four in a recreation area Lipno nad Vltavou with the low energy consumption requirement. The proposal includes conventional reinforced concrete structures as well as a large-scale components of cross-laminated timber. The resulting object is a wooden house placed on a reinforced concrete basement. Work is processed in the form of architectural studies including graphic spatial visualization. Selected parts of the project documentation are processed in the level of building permit documentation

Peroxisomes are compartments in cells called organelles that perform many different functions. In humans, peroxisomal defects result in serious disorders, leading to early death. Peroxisomes need proteins to perform their function but they cannot make these proteins themselves. Therefore, peroxisomes take up (import) proteins from the cytosol, which is the fluid that surrounds organelles inside cells. Under certain conditions, peroxisome numbers need to be increased in cells, and one way to achieve this is by the division of pre-existing ones. This process is termed ‘fission’ but we do not understand fully how this occurs. In this thesis, we have studied details of the peroxisomal fission and import processes by analysing them in yeast. Pex11p is a protein which is important for peroxisome fission. Pex11p reshapes the peroxisomal membrane so that peroxisomes can start dividing. We investigated how Pex11p is stimulated to perform this function and how it interacts with the peroxisomal membrane. Our studies indicate that membrane reshaping occurs due to Pex11p interacting with specific regions of the membrane. Proteins destined for peroxisomes contain Peroxisome Targeting Signals (PTS) that are recognized by proteins Pex5p and Pex7p. These receptors transport PTS containing proteins from the cytosol, where they are made, into peroxisomes. We have identified that Aspartate aminotransferase-2 (Aat2p) localises to peroxisomes despite lacking a classical PTS. Peroxisomal localisation persisted in the absence of Pex5p and Pex7p. Instead, Pex20p is required for targeting. Functional analysis suggests that Aat2p may contribute to the regulation of metabolism inside peroxisomes

Tourism Cluster Competitiveness and Sustainability: Proposal for a Systemic Model to Measure the Impact of Tourism on Local Development

    Get PDF
This article proposes a model to measure tourism cluster impact on local development with a view to assessing tourism cluster interaction, competitiveness and sustainability impacts on the economy, society and the environment. The theoretical basis for this model is founded on cluster concept and typology adapting and integrating the systemic competitiveness and sustainability concepts within economic, social, cultural, environmental and political dimensions. The proposed model shows a holistic, multidisciplinary and multi-sector view of local development brought back through a systemic approach to the concepts of competitiveness, social equity and sustainability. Its results make possible strategic guidance to agents responsible for public sector tourism policies, as well as the strategies for competitiveness, competition, cooperation and sustainability in private companies and institutions
