Exploring Convolutional Networks for End-to-End Visual Servoing

Present image based visual servoing approaches rely on extracting hand crafted visual features from an image. Choosing the right set of features is important as it directly affects the performance of any approach. Motivated by recent breakthroughs in performance of data driven methods on recognition and localization tasks, we aim to learn visual feature representations suitable for servoing tasks in unstructured and unknown environments. In this paper, we present an end-to-end learning based approach for visual servoing in diverse scenes where the knowledge of camera parameters and scene geometry is not available a priori. This is achieved by training a convolutional neural network over color images with synchronised camera poses. Through experiments performed in simulation and on a quadrotor, we demonstrate the efficacy and robustness of our approach for a wide range of camera poses in both indoor as well as outdoor environments.Comment: IEEE ICRA 201

Graduates' perception towards their English education : a case study

Bahasa Inggeris merupakan bahasa komunikasi yang terpenting di dunia. Ia dianggap sebagai suatu kemahiran penting yang diperlukan oIeh graduan yang merangkah ke alam pekerjaan. Namun kajian terbaru telah membuktikan bahawa graduan Malaysia kekurangan kemahiran berkomunikasi dalam Ballasa Inggeris di temp at kerja. Kemerosotan tarafpenguasaan Bahasa Inggeris telall menyebabkan sistem pendidikan kita dipersoalkan. Kajian ini menyampelkan 30 graduan dari Kolej Universiti Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn ( KUiTTHO), Parit Raja, Batu Pahat, lohor DarnI Ta'zim. Borang kaji selidik digunakan untuk mengUDlpuI data mengenai persepsi pelajar terhadap pendidikan Bahasa Inggeris mereka di KUiTTHO. HasiI kajian seperti mana yang dipersepsi oleh graduan menyatakan bahawa pendidikan Ballasa Inggeris di KUiTTHO harns diubah agar ia dapat memenuhi keperluan seoarang graduan kejuruteraan

Masses and decay modes of charmonia using a confinement model

The masses of charmonium s and p-states, pseudoscalar and vector decay constants, leptonic, hadronic as well as radiative decay widths for charmonia have been computed in the framework of extended harmonic confinement model without any additional parameters. Multiquark states as di-hadronic molecules

Multiquark systems such as tetraquarks, pentaquarks and hexaquarks states are studied as di-hadronic molecules in a nonrelativistic model. The masses of several di-hadronic states using a molecular interaction provided by asymptotic expression of the confined gluon exchange potential are computed. The exotic states such as f$_0$ (0.982), f$_2$ (1.565), f$_2$ (1.950), X(3.87), D$_{sJ}$ (2.317, 2.460, 2.632), $\psi$(4.040) etc are identified as the low lying di-mesonic states, and $\Theta^+$ (1.54) as a $K-N$ molecular state.Comment: 4 pages, Presented in the Fifth International Conference on Perspectives in Hadronic Physics, ICTP, Trieste, Italy, May 200
