Verifying the Kugo-Ojima Confinement Criterion in Landau Gauge Yang-Mills Theory
Expanding the Landau gauge gluon and ghost two-point functions in a power
series we investigate their infrared behavior. The corresponding powers are
constrained through the ghost Dyson-Schwinger equation by exploiting
multiplicative renormalizability. Without recourse to any specific truncation
we demonstrate that the infrared powers of the gluon and ghost propagators are
uniquely related to each other. Constraints for these powers are derived, and
the resulting infrared enhancement of the ghost propagator signals that the
Kugo-Ojima confinement criterion is fulfilled in Landau gauge Yang-Mills

Analytic Approach to Perturbative QCD
The two-loop invariant (running) coupling of QCD is written in terms of the
Lambert W function. The analyticity structure of the coupling in the complex
Q^2-plane is established. The corresponding analytic coupling is reconstructed
via a dispersion relation. We also consider some other approximations to the
QCD beta-function, when the corresponding couplings are solved in terms of the
Lambert function. The Landau gauge gluon propagator has been considered in the
renormalization group invariant analytic approach (IAA). It is shown that there
is a nonperturbative ambiguity in determination of the anomalous dimension
function of the gluon field. Several analytic solutions for the propagator at
the one-loop order are constructed. Properties of the obtained analytical

Baryonic Regge trajectories with analyticity constraints
A model for baryonic Regge trajectories compatible with the threshold
behavior required by unitarity and asymptotic behavior in agreement with
analyticity constraints is given in explicit form. Widths and masses of the
baryonic resonances on the N and trajectories are reproduced. The
MacDowell symmetry is exploited and an application is given.Comment: 12 pages, 6 figure
Dispersion Theory and the Low Energy Constants for Neutral Pion Photoproduction
The relativistic amplitudes of pion photoproduction are evaluated by
dispersion relations at t=const. The imaginary parts of the amplitudes are
taken from the MAID model covering the absorption spectrum up to center-of-mass
energies W = 2.2 GeV. For sub-threshold kinematics the amplitudes are expanded
in powers of the two independent variables \nu and t related to energy and
momentum transfer. Subtracting the loop corrections from this power series
allows one to determine the counter terms of covariant baryon chiral
perturbation theory. The proposed continuation of the amplitudes into the
unphysical region provides a unique framework to derive the low-energy
constants to any given order as well as an estimate of the higher order terms

An Algebraic Criterion for the Ultraviolet Finiteness of Quantum Field Theories
An algebraic criterion for the vanishing of the beta function for
renormalizable quantum field theories is presented. Use is made of the descent
equations following from the Wess-Zumino consistency condition. In some cases,
these equations relate the fully quantized action to a local gauge invariant
polynomial. The vanishing of the anomalous dimension of this polynomial enables
us to establish a nonrenormalization theorem for the beta function ,
stating that if the one-loop order contribution vanishes, then will
vanish to all orders of perturbation theory. As a by-product, the special case
in which is only of one-loop order, without further corrections, is
also covered. The examples of the N=2,4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories are

Infrared renormalons and analyticity structure in pQCD
Relation between the infrared renormalons, the Borel resummation
prescriptions, and the analyticity structure of Green functions in perturbative
QCD (pQCD) is investigated. A specific recently suggested Borel resummation
prescription resulted in the Principal Value and an additional power-suppressed
correction that is consistent with the Operator Product Expansion. Arguments
requiring the finiteness of the result for any power coefficient of the leading
infrared renormalon, and the consistency in the case of the absence of that
renormalon, require that this prescription be modified. The apparently most
natural modification leads to the result represented by the Principal Value.
The analytic structure of the amplitude in the complex coupling plane, obtained
in this way, is consistent with that obtained in the literature by other

Dispersion Relations and Rescattering Effects in B Nonleptonic Decays
Recently, the final state strong interactions in nonleptonic B decays were
investigated in a formalism based on hadronic unitarity and dispersion
relations in terms of the off-shell mass squared of the meson. We consider
an heuristic derivation of the dispersion relations in the mass variables using
the reduction LSZ formalism and find a discrepancy between the spectral
function and the dispersive variable used in the recent works. The part of the
unitarity sum which describes final state interactions is shown to appear as
spectral function in a dispersion relation based on the analytic continuation
in the mass squared of one final particles. As an application, by combining
this formalism with Regge theory and SU(3) flavour symmetry we obtain
constraints on the tree and the penguin amplitudes of the decay .Comment: 17 pages, Latex, 2 figure
Sfermion masses in Nelson-Strassler type of models: SUSY standard models coupled with SCFTs
We study soft SUSY breaking parameters in the Nelson-Strassler type of
models: SUSY standard models coupled with SCFTs. In this type of models, soft
SUSY breaking parameters including sfermion masses can be suppressed around the
decoupling scale of SCFTs. We clarify the condition to derive exponential
suppression of sfermion masses within the framework of pure SCFTs. Such
behavior is favorable for degeneracy of sfermion masses. However, the realistic
sfermion masses are not quite degenerate due to the gauge couplings and the
gaugino masses in the SM sector. We show the sfermion mass spectrum obtained in
such models. The aspect of suppression for the soft SUSY breaking parameters is
also demonstrated in an explicit model. We also give a mechanism generating the

Reduction of Couplings in Quantum Field Theories with applications in Finite Theories and the MSSM
We apply the method of reduction of couplings in a Finite Unified Theory and
in the MSSM. The method consists on searching for renormalization group
invariant relations among couplings of a renormalizable theory holding to all
orders in perturbation theory. It has a remarkable predictive power since, at
the unification scale, it leads to relations between gauge and Yukawa couplings
in the dimensionless sectors and relations involving the trilinear terms and
the Yukawa couplings, as well as a sum rule among the scalar masses and the
unified gaugino mass in the soft breaking sector. In both the MSSM and the FUT
model we predict the masses of the top and bottom quarks and the light Higgs in
remarkable agreement with the experiment. Furthermore we also predict the
masses of the other Higgses, as well as the supersymmetric spectrum, both being
in very confortable agreement with the LHC bounds on Higgs and supersymmetric
