Oxytocin Level and Breast Engorgement in Primipara Mother with Postpartum Blues

Introduction: Postpartum is a great moment for most the woman, but for some of them is a frightening moment. Postpartum blues makes woman avoiding their baby. Whereas lactation process needs to be done in early postpartum period. The aim of this study is analyzing the oxytocin level and breast engorgement incident in primipara mother with postpartum blues in Obtetry & Gynecology Department of Dr. M Soewandhie Hospital of Surabaya. Method: This study was used cross sectional design. Population were primiparas and samples were 41 primiparas choosen by random sampling according to inclusion criteria. The independent variable was postpartum blues, dependent variables were breast engorgement and oxytocin level. The instruments used were Kennerly & Gath Postpartum Scale, and Six-point Engorgement Scale. Data were analyzed with Spearman Test and Mann Whitney Test using α<0,05. Result: The result shown that the oxytocin level change comparing the postpartum blues in p=0,002 and increasing breast engorgement incident comparing to postpartum blues in p=0,000. Discussion: There was difference of oxytocin level between postpartum blues mother and not postpartum blues mother and increasing of breast engorgement incident to postpartum blues mother comparing to not postpartum blues mother. Iklim Psikologis Dan Kualitas Pelayanan Pada Perawat Instalasi Rawat Inap RSUD Tugurejo Semarang

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara iklim psikologis dan kualitas pelayanan pada perawat instalasi rawat inap RSUD Tugurejo Semarang. Kualitas pelayanan merupakan perilaku perawat dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada pasien sesuai dengan standar dan ukuran yang berlaku untuk memenuhi harapan dan kebutuhan pasien sesuai dengan ilmu pengetahuan, keterampilan dan peralatan yang memenuhi standar. Iklim psikologis merupakan persepsi individu terhadap lingkungan organisasi meliputi lingkungan kerja, kepemimpinan, tim kerja dan peran serta karakteristik pekerjaan yang mampu mempengaruhi perilaku individu organisasi. Teknik Sampling menggunakan simple random sampling dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 75 perawat. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Skala Iklim Psikologis yang terdiri dari 48 aitem (α= 0,962) dan Skala Kualitas Pelayanan yang terdiri dari 34 aitem (α= 0,932). Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis regresi sederhana dengan hasil koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,617 dan p= 0,00. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan peneliti yaitu, terdapat hubungan positif antara iklim psikologis dan kualitas pelayanan dapat diterima. Semakin positif iklim psikologis yang dimiliki perawat, maka semakin baik pula kualitas pelayanan yang akan diberikan. Sumbangan efektif iklim psikologis terhadap kualitas pelayanan sebesar 38,1% sedangkan 61,9% dipengaruhi faktor lain yang tidak diungkapkan penelitian ini

Studi Kasus: Kematangan Sosial Pada Siswa Homeschooling

Remaja pada umumnya membutuhkan interaksi mutual dengan teman sebaya. Semakin banyak interaksi yang dilakukan semakin terbentuk pula kematangan sosial pada diri remaja. Kematangan sosial dapat dibentuk melalui pendidikan. Terdapat tiga jalur pendidikan di Indonesia salah satunya adalah pendidikan informal, seperti homeschooling. Homeschooling merupakan salah satu model belajar bagi anak dan merupakan pendidikan pilihan yang diselenggarakan oleh orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kematangan sosial pada remaja yang sedang menjalani homeschooling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah 1 orang yaitu remaja yang sedang menjalani homeschooling, dan 3 informan yaitu orang tua, guru sewaktu SD, dan teman yang bersedia menjadi partisipan penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian kematangan sosial pada partisipan tergambarkan dari konsep diri yang positif, self-direction yang bagus, kemandirian dalam belajar dimana partisipan sendiri yang memutuskan untuk homeschooling dengan berbagai pertimbangan di usianya pada saat itu. Dalam bersosialisasi partisipan cukup terampil berinteraksi dengan orang-orang lintas usia atau yang tidak sebaya. Sedangkan dalam berinteraksi dengan teman sebaya, partisipan mengalami sedikit kendala karena memiliki perbedaan jadwal dalam pembelajaran

Efek Analgetik Antipiretik Ekstrak Etanol Kulit Buah Manggis (Garcinia Mangostana L.) Pada Tikus Putih Jantan Galur Wistar

Antipyretic analgesic is a compound that can relieve pain and can reduce fever. One of the plants that has potential as antipyretic analgesic is mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L.). Mangosteen peel contains flavonoids and alkaloids that may have an effect as an analgesic. In addition, flavonoids could inhibit prostaglandin that has antipyretic effect. This study aims to determine the antipyretic analgesic effect of ethanol extract of mangosteen peel and the effective dose. Analgesic and antipyretic test using 25 male Wistar rats were divided 5 groups , I (negative control) CMC Na 0,5 % , II (positive control) paracetamol 50 mg/kg body weight, and III, IV and V suspension of the ethanol extract of the skin manggis 50; 100 and 200 mg/kg body weight. Pain stimuli by dipping a rat tail in the water temperature of 40° C for 10 seconds. Rat response to a painful stimulus done prior to treatment (normal response), and 30 minutes after treatment. While excitatory fever in rat by injection of 0.2 ml vaccine DPT are intramuscular. Rectal temperature of rat were measured before treatment (initial temperature), 60 minutes after the vaccine, as well as 30 minutes after treatment . Rat response to a painful stimulus and a rectal temperature of rat was analyzed using SPSS statistical release 16 . The results showed that the ethanol extract of mangosteen peel can improve the rat response to pain stimulation and lower the temperature of the mice vaccinated fever DPT. The effective dose of ethanol extract of mangosteen peel as antipyretic analgesic is 50 mg / kg body weight

Supplementation of Rumen by Pass Protein-Fat: Effect on Feed Intake, Nutrient Digestibility and the Profile of Duodenal Digesta Fatty Acids

. The aim of this research was to study the effects of rumen by pass protein-fat supplementation (RBPF) on feed intake, nutrients digestibility and profile of duodenal digesta of fatty acids. Two rumen fistulated and duodenum canulated dairy cows were fed ration that consisted of king grass and concentrate (60:40). The concentrate was supplemented with 20% RBPF. The feeding trial was conducted for four weeks in which the first week was the control period, the second week was the adaptation period, the third week was the early collection period and finally the fourth week was the late collection period. The samples of duodenal digesta were collected 1 hour before morning feeding and 1, 3 and 5 hours after morning feeding. The cows were fed twice a day and concentrate was offered before forage. The results showed that in comparison to the control, supplementation of RBPF increased nutrients intake of dry matter (DM) (6.95 vs. 6.27%), organic matter (OM) (6.20 vs. 5.70%), crude fat (CF) (0.49 vs. 0.41%), crude fiber (CFb) (1.84 vs. 1.49%) and nitrogen free extract (NFE) (3.23 vs. 3.03%), while the crude protein (CP) intake decreased (0.64 vs. 0.77%). Supplementation of RBPF improved the nutrients digestibility of dry matter (67.24 vs. 62.15%), organic matter (68.71 vs. 65.29%), crude fiber (66.20 vs. 57.46%) and nitrogen free extract (72.37 vs. 66.47%). RBPF supplementation also increased linoleic acid content in duodenal digesta sample at 1and 3 hours after feeding. In conclusion, RBPF supplementation did not negatively affect feed intake and nutrient digestibility. RBPF also increased the proportion of linolenic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexsaenoic acid (DHA) in duodenal digesta until 3 hours after feeding
