Когнітивний досвід читача як орієнтир у перекладі синестетичної метафори (The cognitive experience of a reader as a reference point in the translation of a synesthetic metaphor)

У статті виявлена роль когнітивного досвіду адресатів перекладу в осмисленні прагматичної функції синестетичної метафори. На основі проведеного експерименту доведено, що відтворення в перекладі метафори названого виду є необхідним, якщо її когнітивна база відповідає когнітивному досвіду адресатів перекладу. Обґрунтовано один із способів орієнтування на фактор адресата в разі невідповідності когнітивної бази – відображення в перекладі не безпосередньо синестетичної метафори, а прагматичних смислів, які вона передає. (The article reveals the role of translated text recipients’ cognitive experience in understanding pragmatic function of a synesthetic metaphor. Translation of a synesthetic metaphor is considered in terms of its perception by a representative of another communication culture, when such representative is a bearer of not only a different language but a different vision of the world, different cognitive experience. More than 50 passages from poems of British poets were analyzed. The analysis showed that a synesthetic metaphor can perform various pragmatic meanings. In accordance with the role that a synesthetic metaphor plays in the author’s intent implementing, it can be either a key or a background one. In order to find out the extent to which a synesthetic metaphor helps recipients of a translated text to understand the nuances of a lyrical hero’s feelings as well as the author’s overall design an experiment has been conducted. The results of the experiment proved that it is necessary to translate a synesthetic metaphor in the case when its cognitive base meets the reader’s cognitive experience. In the case of non-compliance or partial compliance of the cognitive bases the recipient’s factor must be taken into account when translating. One of the means of the recipient’s factor orientation is displaying of not the very synesthetic metaphor directly but the pragmatic meanings that it conveys.

Surface relief grating recording with different period on chalcogenide nanomultilayers

Chalcogenide glasses nanomultilayer structures based on As2S3-Se were used for direct surface relief grating formation by polarization holographic recording. The SRG depth in dependence of grating period was investigated. Analyses of diffraction efficiency kinetics and AFM images of recorded SRG showed that grating period increasing led to the SRG depth increasing in linear way. It is revealed that SRG recording rate is much more for gratings with greater periods, while the modulation depth remains approximately the same for all gratings and consists about 0.22

Identification of problems and directions of Industry 4.0 concept implementation Ukraine

В статті здійснено оцінку взаємозв'язку індикаторів рівня інноваційного та економічного розвитку у країнах Європи. Виявлено високий рівень залежності між індексом інноваційного розвитку та показником ВВП на душу населення (за ПКС). Встановлено найбільш вагомі чинники впливу на рівень економічного розвитку в частині інноваційної діяльності для сукупності аналізованих європейських країн загалом та України зокрема.В статье осуществлена оценка взаимосвязи индикаторов уровня инновационного и экономического развития в странах Европы. Выявлен высокий уровень зависимости между индексом инновационного развития и показателем ВВП на душу населения (по ППС). Eлектронно-променевий запис поверхневих структур на халькогенідних плівках As-S-Se

The effect of electron beam irradiation on the amorphous chalcogenide film As38S36Se26 was studied. The formation of cones with a Gaussian profile on the surfaces of the films was found after local electron irradiation. Exposition dependent evolution of height surface nanostructures has been detected. The dependence of the height of surface nanostructures on the dose of irradiation is analyzed. Charge accumulation model into interaction region between the film and the electron beam was used to explain the electron-induced phenomena of the surface structure of amorphous As38S36Se26 films. Charges relaxation times, and electron beam penetration depth into film, and the initial and inverse doses are determined.Досліджено вплив опромінення електронним пучком на аморфну халькогенідну плівку As38S36Se26. Було виявлено утворення конусів з гауссовим профілем на поверхнях плівок після локального опромінення електронами. Проаналізовано залежність висоти поверхневих наноструктур від дози опромінення. Для пояснення електронно-індукованих явищ поверхневої структуризації аморфних плівок As38S36Se26 використана модель акумулювання заряду в області взаємодії плівки та електронного пучка. Innovation strategy as a means of enterprise business management and development in the conditions of globalization

The article describes the features of modern business. The relevance of the study of the relationship between strategy and business management is substantiated. Modern business has a very specific content, focus and implementation model. Despite this, business cannot do without a strategy a specific and clear plan of action in certain market conditions, coordinates of time and space. However, for the application of the chosen strategies to be effective and efficient for the enterprise, firm or company, there is an urgent need to explore the relationship between strategy and business management. One of the ways of effective business management, its development, of course, is the timely and professional application of a list of strategies according to the situation formed in the market and within the enterprise in the context of globalization of economic processes. The article presents modern interpretations of the concepts «strategy», «strategic management», «business», «competitive potential of business», «innovation strategy». A generalized classification of strategies used in practice for effective business management and development is described. The potential opportunities of the innovation strategy for the formation of competitive advantages of business in the context of globalization are identified. Strategic innovative measures to ensure the competitiveness of enterprises are presented. An analog model of ensuring the competitive potential of business through the implementation of innovation strategy in the context of globalization of the state economy has been formalized. It is the innovation strategy that is the system of sub-strategies for all levels of the strategic set of the enterprise focused on the innovative development of the business organization and meeting the needs of its potential customers. And as a cognitive tool for adaptive behavior of the enterprise in the external environment, it is focused on solving problems of unsatisfactory situations in change management. It can be interpreted as a set of methods of competition and doing business, which chooses the management of the enterprise to ensure the competitiveness and future profitability of the chosen type of business. Areas of further research are recommended. These include: analysis of the impact of strategies on the business management process, assessment of the effectiveness of the use of strategies for effective business management and selection of priority strategies for effective business management</jats:p
