Influence of gas environment on the composition and properties of heat treatment products of galvanic slimes

The process and composition of heat treatment of products of galvanic slimes which have different qualitative and quantitative composition of chromophore determining components are studied depending on the heat treatment conditions. It is established that the heat treatment of the galvanic slimes under different oxygen concentrations in the gas phase and chromophore determining compounds leads to the formation of a number of phases of variable composition in the form of oxygen solid solution in different modifications of iron oxide ?magnetite Fe3O4, maghemite ?-Fe2O3and hematite ?-Fe2O3. It is shown that crystal structures of solids with well-defined arrangement of atoms retain stoichiometry only at a certain partial pressure of oxygen on the step of slime heat treatment. This pressure is a function of temperature. The formation of ferrite products determines the color of pigment-filler and content of water-soluble substances

The ploidy and genetic structure of hybrid population of water frogs Pelophylax esculentus complex (Amphibia, Ranidae) of Ukraine fauna

The complex study, including allozyme variability and cytometry of hybrid populations of green frogs Pelophylax esculentus (L., 1758) complex has confirmed that the only region of Ukraine where allodip loid are encountered frequently is the Severski Donets basin (9% of all hybrids). In other areas, only two poly ploidy hybrids (0.9%) and one probably autopolyploid individual of each parental species have been regis tered. According to allozyme specters, all three polyploidy hybrids from the Severski Donets basin were males and belonged to biotype P. esculentus (=lessonae) – 2 ridibundus, and their population in this region has halved during the past decade

Stopped Pion Absorption on pp- and 3,4He-clusters

AbstractResults on the research of spectra and yields of p, d, t formed in the reaction of stopped pion absorption by atomic nuclei are presented. Unique data on charged particle formation on 17 isotopes have been obtained in wide mass range (6 < A < 209). Empirical model is proposed that allows to describe A-dependence of primary proton yields (with 10-15% precision) and to estimate the ratio of the elementary widths of pion absorption on pn and pp pairs R’ = 3.3±0.5
