KINETIKA REAKSI HIDROLISIS PATI DARI BIJI DURIAN (Durio Zibethinus Murr) DAN BIJI NANGKA (Artocarpus Heterophyllus Lamk) MENGGUNAKAN KATALISATOR ASAM ASETAT (CH3COOH ).
Ultrasonic-Assisted Flavonoid Extraction from Ant Nest
The extraction of active substances from ant nests can be affected by various extraction methods, whether conventional or sonication. Sample extraction was carried out by maceration and ultrasonic methods with the use of solvents to yield flavonoid compounds. The solvents used were aquadest, 70% ethanol and n-hexane, with a material-to-solvent ratio of 1:50 (w/v). The highest flavonoid content of 14% was obtained by ultrasonic-assisted extraction method, with aquadest as the solvent and at operating conditions of 24 minutes at a temperature of 40oC. Due to their high aquadest solubility and the presence of one or more sulphate ions that are bound to the hydroxyl phenol or sugar, the flavonoids produced are classified as flavonoid sulphate

Isomer Spectroscopy of Neutron-rich 165,167Tb
Open Access JournalWe present information on the excited states in the prolate-deformed, neutron-rich nuclei 165;167Tb100;102. The nuclei of interest were synthesized following in-flight fission of a 345 MeV per nucleon 238U primary beam on a 2 mm 9Be target at the Radioactive Ion-Beam Factory (RIBF), RIKEN, Japan. The exotic nuclei were separated and identified event-by-event using the BigRIPS separator, with discrete energy gamma-ray decays from isomeric states with half-lives in the _s regime measured using the EURICA gamma-ray spectrometer. Metastable-state decays are identified in 165Tb and 167Tb and interpreted as arising from hindered E1 decay from the 7/2-[523] single quasi-proton Nilsson configuration to rotational states built on the 3/2-[411] single quasi-proton ground state. These data correspond to the first spectroscopic information in the heaviest, odd-A terbium isotopes reported to date and provide information on proton Nilsson configurations which reside close to the Fermi surface as the 170Dy doubly-midshell nucleus is approached.postprin
Budget impact analysis of medicines : updated systematic review and implications
This evaluation determines whether published studies to date meet the key characteristics identified for budget impact analyses (BIA) for medicines, accomplished through a systematic review and assessment against identified key characteristics. Studies from 2001 to 2015 on "budget impact analysis" with "drug" interventions were assessed, selected based on their titles/abstracts and full texts, with their characteristics checked according to key criteria. Out of 1984 studies, 92 were identified. Of these, 95% were published in Europe and the USA. 2012 saw the largest number of publications (16%) with a decline thereafter. 48% met up to 6 or 7 out of the 9 key characteristics. Only 22% stated no conflict of interest. The results indicate low adherence to the key characteristics that should be considered for BIAs and strong conflict of interest. This is an issue since BIAs can be of fundamental importance in managing the entry of new medicines including reimbursement decisions
Extraction and characterization of pectin from the fruit peel of Benincasa hispida (Thunb.) cogn
Pectin is a polysaccharide and a major component of most plant cell walls and serves as an adsorbent, emulsifying agent, gelling agent, stabilizer, and gelling agent. Pectic can be obtained from the fruit peel of Bligo (Benincasa hispida (Thunb.) Cogn). This study aims to determine the presence of pectin in the peel of Bligo fruit, which can be used as a gelling agent, and to obtain the best solvent concentration and time for the extraction and characterization of pectin from the peel of Bligo fruit by using a completely randomized design (CRD) using 4 variations. Concentration of citric acid solvent (5%,7%,9% and 11%) with extraction time consisting of 4 levels (30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes). The characteristics of the pectin produced were determined based on its water and ash content, equivalent weight, methoxyl content, galacturonic acid content, and degree of esterification. The results showed that the highest yield was obtained from 7% citric acid concentration with an extraction time of 60 minutes, with the value of 9.8%. The resulted pectin had a water content of 10.4%; ash content of 8.75%; an equivalent weight of 779.243 mg; methoxyl content of 2.515%; galacturonic acid content of 114.685%; and esterification degree of 12.445%. The characterization of functional groups using FTIR showed groups -OH, -CH3, -C=O, -C-H, and -R-OR with wavelength respectively of 2958.93 cm-1; 1396.52 cm-1; 1724.36 cm-1; 1416.78 cm-1; and 1220.99 cm-1
