The Discourse of Hysteria: The Topoi of Humility, Physicality, and Authority in Women\u27s Rhetoric
Cultivating Thoughtful Dialogue, Shared Humanity, and Emotional Intelligence in Client Counseling Courses
Historically, client counseling courses in law schools across the country omitted concepts fundamental to a successful attorney-client relationship–thoughtful dialogue, shared humanity, and emotional intelligence. Psychology and the practice of law, including the omitted concepts, are now being integrated into more courses each semester. The essay demonstrates how I integrate them into my own course and work alongside students to help them practice those concepts and the most important skill of active listening. The students’ practice requires thoughtful work around self-awareness, bias, power, and money–topics often neglected because of the discomfort involved in their contemplation and reflection. The earlier students are able to grapple with those skills, concepts, and ideas in their legal career, the more fulfilling they will find their legal career and, I believe, will decrease the likelihood of burnout

This bachelor thesis is about the metaphorical comprehension of theatre as music and how this comprehension can be used in practice. A collaboration between NTNU and the local theatre group Cirka Teater has made it possible for me to attend their last months of rehearsals on their show Fyr up until their first shows at Trøndelag Teater. My tasks as a «student in practice» has been to pronounce the production from a musical aesthetic point of view as well as engaging in the production of kids activities related to the concepts of the performance. My experience of my work and my observations of the production is the subject of the analysis in the thesis, which facilitates the theory of professor in music theatre David Roesners research. The theory will be conceptualized through investigation of three different ways of understanding theatre as music and how these principles can be used in practice
Academic Writing
It has often been acknowledged that English is the dominant language of scholarly publication. While the disadvantage this poses to English as an Additional Language (EAL) academics is controversial, it is clear that some senior academics and doctoral researchers perceive that EAL writing affects idea creation. This article surveys the research on EAL academic writing and the particular challenges it poses for doctoral researchers in the humanities. We argue for more support and research in this area
I människan själv, eller utanför?
The article examines how the causes of Black Death were conceived and discussed in two distinct contexts: learned sources from late medieval England and oral Swedish legends that were collected and recorded many centuries after the outbreak. While focused on discussions of a particular disease – plague or what is known as the bacterium yersinia pestis – the geographical, chronological and material range enables a greater perspective upon the continuities and transitions of how theories of causality are framed
This bachelor thesis provides a detailed and comprehensive analysis of Kongsberg Gruppen ASA with the aim of estimating the company's value. The work is based on a combination of strategic and accounting analyses, utilizing a cash flow-based model to evaluate long-term contracts and their impact on the company's value. During our education in economics and administration, we have acquired a range of skills and knowledge that we have applied in our analysis of Kongsberg Gruppen ASA.
We begin by examining the company's history and its role in Norwegian industry, defense, and maritime sectors, and proceed to explore the company's current positioning and business areas. A strategic analysis is conducted both externally and internally. This helps identify the company's strengths and weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, using tools such as PESTEL analysis, Porter's Five Forces model, SVIMA, and SWOT analysis.
The accounting analysis includes profitability, liquidity, financing and solvency, which provides a picture of the company's financial condition. There is a significant development in the market that is reflected in the difference between the fundamental valuation and market value.
Based on historical data, future cash flows for the company for the next five years are estimated. These figures are further used in a fundamental valuation of the firm that discounts the future cash flows with the total capital return requirement found in the financial analysis. A value per share of 810 NOK was calculated. In the market-based valuation, a value per share of 504,23 NOK was calculated.
The sensitivity analysis shows that the company's value is highly influenced by the total capital return requirement (WACC) and the future growth factor. Additionally, the EV/EBITDA multiplier plays a significant role in the market-based valuation
