Die Zahl an inklusiven Sportangeboten ist nach wie vor überschaubar, Menschen mit Behinderungen sind im organisierten Sport unterrepräsentiert. Dabei bietet besonders der Breitensport die Möglichkeit, dass Menschen mit und ohne Behinderungen spielerisch miteinander in Kontakt kommen. Damit Sport stärker zum Motor der Inklusion werden kann, ist der Ausbau von inklusiven Sportangeboten und barrierefreien Sportstätten notwendig

Estimation of greenhouse gas emissions from spontaneous combustion/fire of coal in opencast mines – Indian context

There are a significant number of uncontrolled coal mine fires (primarily due to spontaneous combustion of coal), which are currently burning all over the world. These spontaneous combustion sources emit greenhouse gases (GHGs). A critical review reveals that there are no standard measurement methods to estimate GHG emissions from mine fire/spontaneous combustion areas. The objective of this research paper was to estimate GHGs emissions from spontaneous combustion of coals in the Indian context. A sampling chamber (SC) method was successfully used to assess emissions at two locations of the Enna Opencast Project (OCP), Jharia Coalfield (JCF), for 3 months. The study reveals that measured cumulative average emission rate for CO2 varies from 75.02 to 286.03 gs−1m−1 and CH4 varies from 41.49 to 40.34 gs−1m−1 for low- and medium-temperature zones. The total GHG emissions predicted from this single fire affecting mines of JCF vary from 16.86 to 20.19 Mtyr−

Phase management for extended scan range antenna arrays based on Rotman lens

This paper presents an implementation of a technique aimed to double the scanning range of a 24 GHz array antenna system based on Rotman lens beamforming. The new concept of the enhanced beam forming network consists of a combination of Rotman lens and 1-bit phase shifters, positioned in a peculiar way on the array side of the lens, and together with a particular beam arrangement allows to overcome the scan limitations which is typical of the standalone Rotman lens solution. Simulations will demonstrate that a Rotman lens, designed to steer the beam up to ±30°, when arranged in combination with properly designed Ratrace based phase shifters, allows to increase the scan range up to ±60°

So versucht der Sicherheitsrat in thematischen Resolutionen, den Schutz der Menschenrechte zu verbessern und behandelt verstärkt Ländersituationen, wie am Beispiel des Arabischen Frühlings gezeigt wird. Der Essay geht insbesondere auf die Entscheidungsprozesse und die politischen und rechtlichen Beurteilungsmaßstäbe ein und richtet besonderes Augenmerk auf die deutsche Rolle im Sicherheitsrat. Compact Extended Scan Range Antenna Array based on Rotman Lens

This article proposes an innovative method for extending the scan range of phased arrays based on Rotman lens by a factor two. The main objective is to take advantage of the performance of the Rotman lens as beamforming network, resolving its intrinsic increase of phase error and coupling losses when wide scan angles are required. The proposed concept aims to overcome these limitations by introducing the combination of two specific operations called “complete beam shifting (CBS)” and “beam mirroring (BM).” The described technique is applied to a 24 GHz scanning array antenna system, designed and manufactured by taking into consideration fabrication and related cost issues. Finally, the proposed concept has been validated through measurements

Innovative Rotman lens setup for extended scan range array antennas

The aim of this work is to design a smart and cost effective 24 GHz Short Range Radar (SRR) array antenna system for automotive applications. The beam forming network consists of a hybrid solution including an analog phase shifter, realized with a Rotman lens, and an additional digital phase shifting stage on array side allowing to select between two states, and consequently to enhance the scan angle. This paper will demonstrate that this new concept allows to double the scanning capability of the array with respect to a design employing only the Rotman lens

Phase shifters design for Rotman lens based beamforming network scan range extension

The design of the phase management unit needed for extending the scan range of a 24 GHz array antenna system based on Rotman lens beamforming is presented. The developed phase management unit consists of both static and switchable reflective type phase shifters, whose particular arrangement, in combination with a Rotman lens, allows increasing the maximum steering beam angle by 100%. Finally, the proposed concept is validated through simulation including the complete beamforming network and antenna array system

UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention: UN prüfen 2014 die Umsetzung in Deutschland

Im September 2014 prüft der UN-Ausschuss für die Rechte von Menschen mit Behinderungen erstmals in einem internationalen Verfahren, wie Deutschland die UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention umsetzt. Das Verfahren bietet die Chance, die Rechte von Menschen mit Behinderungen in Deutschland zu stärken. Die Monitoring-Stelle zur UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention fordert die politisch Verantwortlichen in Bund und Ländern auf, das Prüfungsverfahren aktiv mitzugestalten
