Photodisintegration of aligned deuterons at astrophysical energies using linearly polarized photons

Following the model independent approach to deuteron photodisintegration with linearly polarized $\gamma-$rays, we show that the measurements of the tensor analyzing powers on aligned deuterons along with the differential cross section involve five different linear combinations of the isovector $E1^j_v; j=0,1,2$ amplitudes interfering with the isoscalar $M1_s$ and $E2_s$ amplitudes. This is of current interest in view of the recent experimental finding \cite{blackston1} that the three $E1^j_v$ amplitudes are distinct and also the reported experimental observation \cite{sawatzky} on the front-back (polar angle) asymmetry in the differential cross section.Comment: 12 page

Aplicação de uma abordagem histórico-epistemológica, com aportes axiológicos, para o ensino de ‘evolução biológica’ nos anos finais do ensino básico brasileiro

Neste artigo apresentamos resultados de um trabalho de construção e aplicação de uma proposta didática voltada ao ensino do tema ‘evolução biológica’, nos anos finais do Ensino Básico. Diante de pesquisas que mostram diversos problemas no ensino desse assunto, realizamos um estudoqualitativo com aportes da Didática da Ciência que resultou em uma revisão teórico-metodológica do tema abordado, uma síntese histórico-epistemológica do Darwinismo e sua análise axiológica, subsidiando a elaboração de uma sequência didática. Os primeiros resultados da aplicação dessa sequência são apresentados por meio de uma análise textual discursiva da produção de discentes. A partir dessa análise, discutimos as limitações, contribuições e desdobramentos da proposta didática elaborada, à luz de referenciais pertinentes

Axiological and epistemological contributions to teaching the theory of evolution Darwin

From the essential role of theme “biological evolution” in scientific formation of students and the diversity of issues identified in the literature for teaching of the same, we developed a qualitative study through contributions of Didactics of Science and Critical Meaningful Learning, characterized by a review of theoretical and methodological on the treatise subject, a historical-epistemological synthesis of Darwinism and its axiological analysis, the elaboration of a didactic sequence for teaching evolution and your appreciation of biology teachers, and a discursive textual analysis of that assessment. Based on this study, therefore, we discuss the possible contributions to the teaching of biology, of proposals that articulate and introduce axiological contributions, historical and philosophical in teaching of biological evolution

A estrutura didático-pedagógica das aulas de ciências e de biologia: o pibid e as tarefas do professor em sala de aula

Anais do II Seminário Seminário Estadual PIBID do Paraná: tecendo saberes / organizado por Dulcyene Maria Ribeiro e Catarina Costa Fernandes — Foz do Iguaçu: Unioeste; Unila, 2014Este trabalho apresenta os primeiros resultados do subprojeto PIBID Ciências/Biologia de uma Universidade Pública do Norte Pioneiro do Paraná. Pensando o professor como um ‘gestor’ da sala de aula, o subprojeto tem como foco empreender uma análise crítico-reflexiva das aulas em que os bolsistas de iniciação participam, nas escolas, a partir da evidenciação de três tipos de gestão que os professores desenvolvem em sala de aula: gestão de conteúdo, gestão de classe e gestão da própria aprendizagem da docência. A partir de registros em diários de campo (preenchidos pelos bolsistas), aspectos desses tipos de gestão são socializados em reuniões formativas com a participação de todos os envolvidos no subprojeto. Como resultado, o subprojeto tem possibilitado aos bolsistas uma análise crítica da estrutura didático- pedagógica das aulas de Ciências e Biologia e uma visão mais clara das ações que caracterizam as tarefas de um professor em sala de aul

Mitigating Insider Risk Towards an Organization's Blockchain Assets

This thesis aims to develop ways for an organization to secure its assets stored on the blockchain against insider risk, and to address the existing research gap by combining traditional methods of insider risk management with blockchain-specific considerations. The thesis was commissioned by Heimdall Industries, an organization focusing on enhancing cooperation among its members across multiple blockchain projects. The organization wanted to ensure that its assets stored on the blockchain are adequately protected from insider risk in this esoteric operating environment. The knowledge base of this thesis consists of literature related to blockchains, risk management, and insider risk. Semi-structured interviews were used as a research method to gather information from inside the organization and from three external experts. Data from interviews was analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate the need for third-party software solutions to prevent a single individual from authorizing transactions, and the necessity of strict asset management and asset segregation policies. The results also suggest that further research needs to be conducted regarding the legal status of such organizations. The findings of this thesis can be applied by other similar organizations to improve their respective risk management practices
