The Effect of Innovation-based HRM on Perceived Coworker Support, Absorptive Capacity, Employee Satisfaction and Performance of AIA Myanmar (Zin Ko Ko Lwin, 2024)
This study aims to examine the mediating effect of perceived co-worker support on
the relationship between innovation-based HRM and employee satisfaction, to examine the
mediating effect of absorptive capacity on the relationship between innovation-based HRM
and employee satisfaction and to analyze the effect of employee satisfaction on employee
performance of AIA Myanmar. Both primary and secondary data are applied. AIA
Myanmar has 250 employees. Sample size is 152 using Raosoft sample size calculator. A
simple random sampling method is utilized to select the sample respondents. Online survey
method is used to collect the data. For secondary data, it is collected from relevant texts,
previous papers, records of AIA, and some relevant websites. There is the mediating effect
of perceived co-worker support on the relationship between innovation-based HRM and
employee satisfaction. Absorptive capacity also has a mediating effect on the relationship
between innovation-based HRM and employee satisfaction. Lastly, employee satisfaction
has a positive and significant effect on employee performance of AIA Myanmar. This study
suggets that AIA Myanmar should cultivate innovation-based HRM practices, co-worker
support and absorptive capacity so that employee satisfaction can be enhanced and
ultimately can lead to increased employee performance
Consumer Wellbeing in Asia: Introduction to the Special Issue
Consumer wellbeing refers to safety, fairness, satisfaction, sustainability, emotional positivity, security, freedom, and healthfulness which may be sought through consumer products and services obtained from marketplaces. Consumer wellbeing can be measured in various dimensions such as economic, financial, physical, psychological, social, and culture. This special issue focuses on consumer issues in fast changing Asia as many important consumer issues in Asia are under-studied in comparison to the literature about the West. With Asia having a large, 60% of the world population and Asian countries are highly diverse in terms of economic developments, social systems, and cultural traditions, many important issues related to consumer spending, health, and finance need be investigated and studied. Such research will enrich the global literature of consumer affairs and inform public policies to advance consumer interests
Evaluation of land cover classification based on multispectral versus pansharpened landsat ETM+ imagery
Land cover generated from satellite images is widely used in many real-world applications such as natural resource management, forest type mapping, hydrological modeling, crop monitoring, regional planning, transportation planning, public information services, and so on. Moreover, land cover data are one of the primary inputs to many geospatial models. In South-East Asia\u27s cities where the houses are interspersed with small trees, bare land and grassland are difficult to detect in multispectral Landsat ETM+ images because its 30 × 30 m spatial resolution is likely to capture a variety of land cover within each pixel, particularly in urban areas. Although other medium resolution multispectral satellites such as ALOS, SPOT, IRS, and so on have higher spatial resolution than Landsat ETM+, it is sometimes difficult to extract the built-up or human settlement areas because of the lack of shortwave infrared bands, which are very useful for distinguishing between soil and vegetation. In this article, we generated land cover data from both Landsat ETM+ multispectral and pansharpened images by applying the same training areas but using different spectral properties. We differentiated between two classified images visually, spectrally, and spatially. Our results showed that 65% of the total area had similar land cover and 35% had dissimilar land cover. Although dense urban areas, forest, agricultural land, and water were almost the same in the classified images, sparse urban areas and grassland were quite different. Much of the sparse urban areas were detected using the pansharpened classified imagery. This is important in South-East Asian cities where many houses are mixed with trees or grassland. Accurate delineation of human settlement area plays a critical role in population estimation, socio-economic studies, disaster management, and regional development planning
Fabrication of Polycrystalline Lanthanum Manganite (La0.99Mn0.01O3) Powder and Fibres by Electrospinning Method
Lanthanum manganite (La0.99Mn0.01O3) powder have
been prepared by using pyrolysis methods. Lanthanum
manganite fibres were successfully fabricated by electro-spinning
utilizing precursors. Polycrystalline perovskite structure
lanthanum manganite powder and fibres showed that the grain
size and crystal grain increased significantly with the increase in
calcination temperature. A variety of techniques (SEM, FT-IR
and TG-DTA) were employed to study the morphology and fibre
quality, crystal structure, and thermal analysis of La0.99Mn0.01O3
specimen respectively
On Fréchet Differentiability of Convex Functions
In this paper, the conditions of Gâteaux differentiability of functions and Fréchet differentiability of functions are studied. Lipschitz mappings and some properties are expressed. Asplund space is defined and equivalent conditions are investigated for a Banach space X to be an Asplund space
