Ag\ud \ud Kata Kunci : Meningkatkan, Kemampuan, Membaca Al-Qur’an, Strategi Make A Match\ud \ud Pembelajaran PAI di sekolah selama ini sebagian besar masih menggunakan strategi pembelajaran yang bersifat konvensional, hal ini mengakibatkan rendahnya interaksi dan perhatian siswa sehingga hasil belajar yang dicapai mereka menjadi kurang optimal. Hal tersebut juga terjadi pada SDN Tampang Kecamatan Sungai Raya\ud Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV semester I pada SDN Tampang Kecamatan Sungai Raya untuk mata pelajaran PAI dengan menggunakan strategi Card Sort.\ud Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus penelitian. Pada setiap siklus penelitian terdiri atas dua kali pertemuan. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Tampang pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2013/20014, dengan jumlah siswa 9 orang. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui teknik observasi dan tes evaluasi, sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah persentasi dan skala likert.\ud Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh (1) Partisipasi siswa mengalami peningkatan dari akhir siklus 1 ke akhir siklus 2 sebesar 33,33% menjadi maksimal, jika pada siklus I masih ada beberapa komponen siswa yang harus ditingkatkan yaitu kerjasama dengan siswa lain dan interaksi antara siswa dengan guru, maka pada siklus II kedua komponen tersebut sudah aktif dilaksanakan siswa bahkan ada yang mencapai sangat aktif; (2) Hasil peningkatan aktivitas guru pun secara umum juga mengalami peningkatan yaitu dari kategori baik (akhir siklus 1) menjadi kategori sangat baik (akhir siklus 2); (3) Hasil tes evaluasi kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an siswa sebesar 55,56% (akhir siklus 1), mengalami peningkatan menjadi 100% (akhir siklus 2) dengan nilai/skor siswa di atas standar ketuntasan belajar minimum mata pelajaran PAI yang telah ditetapkan yaitu 68; bahkan mencapai indikator keberhasilan penelitian yang ditetapkan sebesar 80%\ud Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan strategi Card Sort dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan pemahaman/pengetahuan siswa kelas IV SDN Tampang, serta tingkat kemampuan kognitif anak sudah dapat diklasifikasikan

    Impact of solar shading geometry on building energy use in hot humid climates with special reference to Malaysia

    External solar shading devices can substantially reduce the cooling load of buildings and large energy savings can be achieved. Hence, intercepting the radiant heat wave before penetrating to the internal environment through envelope openings is the main criterion in designing solar shading. In hot and humid climate, one draw back of using shading devices is the risk to reduce daylight level thus increases in use of artificial lighting. Therefore it is important to understand the magnitude of energy consumption for cooling and lighting when shading devices are adapted in order to analyze optimum shading as energy conservation option in high-rise office buildings. In other words, little is known about the relationship between energy use and external horizontal shading device geometry. In an attempt to elucidate these complex relationships, a simple experiment of an office room is carried out using dynamic computer simulation program eQUEST- 3 (DOE 2.2). The study indicated depth of the external horizontal overhang can be manipulated to obtain an optimum energy use in high-rise buildings. The results showed that correlation between overhang depth and energy is an important aspect compared to correlation between overhang depth with building cooling loads and daylight level, especially in tropical climate conditions

    Love relationships and identity development in selected Asian American chick lit

    This paper examines the connections between love relationships and self-identity development of two selected heroines belonging to two different minority groups in America -- the Indian and the Chinese. For this purpose, two chick lit novels, Tanuja Desai Hidier’s Born Confused (2002) and Kim Wong Keltner’s The Dim Sum of All Things (2004) are selected. By employing a conceptualised framework, influenced by Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems of development and Berry’s model of acculturation, the present paper focuses on the ethnic community and the American society in which the individuals are set. Comparing the love relationships as represented within both novels indicates how the connections and interactions between the selected heroines’ and their self-identity development influence the ways they acculturate with the mainstream culture as well as retain their own ethnicity. Although the theme of love has always dominated the chick lit genre, the present paper aims to fuse the notion of romance with culture and diaspora. This investigation shows how the selected theme is significant in the identity development process of the female protagonists. Therefore, this paper explicates the different aspects of a love relationship with regards to the heroines’ interactions with the ethnic community and the American society. The findings show different cultural orientations between choosing a love target who belongs to the same minority group of the selected heroine and that of the mainstream Caucasian society. Furthermore, the findings indicate the influential role of a love relationship on identity development as represented within the selected novels

Dalam hal ini aplikasi ini tidak hanya digunakan untuk menghitung bahan bakar pada kapal tanker tapi juga digunakan sebagai media ditujukkan untuk Perusahaan perkapalan. Perancangan dan pembangun perangkat lunak ini menggunakan sistem android dan metode waterfall . Aplikasi ini juga dibangun dengan menggunakan bahasa pemograman java dengan emulator eclipse juno. Hasil penelitian Perancangan dan Pembangun Perangkat Lunak ( Metode Waterfall) ini adalah alat media untuk menghitung pengguna volume bahan bakar yang setiap harinya terpakai pada kapal tanker dengan cara menjalankan smartphone Android dan untuk mengetahui jumlah tersisa volume bahan bakar pada kapal tanker tersebut

The critical item such as the propulsion systems, avionics system, operating and maintenance of flight vehicle are rigorously improved year by year. The interior components of aircraft are gaining serious attention in replacing the synthetic fibre with natural fibre composite material. The researchers conducted are mainly for civil, security and transportation. However, the focus on aircraft interior still immature and need further investigation.     The title of this thesis is Non Penal Policy in Prevention and Protection Victims of Human Trafficking (A case study in North Sumatera Province). The basis for choosing this title, namely: The increasing number of victims of trafficking, although the law has clear policies seek to prevent and overcome make the Law Number 21 of 2007 on Eradication of Trafficking in Persons as an umbrella act. Based on the results of this study concluded that non penal policy in the national and local regulations, especially North Sumatra, the context of the prevention and protection of victims of trafficking is done by two approaches: 1) prior to the case, namely by strengthening prevention by each institution as a technical holders through the mechanism of inter-organizational system task force institution / SKPDs Government Ordinance No. 9 of 2008 on Procedures Mechanism Integrated Services For Witnesses and / or Victims of Crime of Trafficking in Persons and Presidential Regulation Number 69 of 2008 on the National Task Force on Crime Prevention and Trafficking in Persons (National Policy) and Governor Decree Number 54 of 2010 facilitate coordination and communication patterns between local institutions to the preparation of the work program set out in Governor Decree No. 53 of 2010 Governor on of North Sumatra Province Action Plan. 2) Victim protection efforts in the aftermath of the case through the physical and psychological recovery (post-traumatic) in the integrated services unit or DIC (Drop In Center) home safety (P2TP2A). Efforts to strengthen the non penal policy as a form of prevention of Trafficking in Persons in North Sumatra is done by: 1) maximizing the function of the Provincial Task Force through the coordination mechanisms of Article 10-19 Governor Decree No. 54 of 2010 on the Task Force on Crime Prevention and Treatment of Trafficking in Persons in North Sumatera, but not running optimally in a motivating work program on education for each so that non penal policy objectives have not synergize with the purpose and law function

    Wave reflection at a free interface in an anisotropic pyroelectric medium with nonclassical thermoelasticity

    In this paper, the well-established two-dimensional mathematical model for linear pyroelectric materials is employed to investigate the reflection of waves at the boundary between a vacuum and an elastic, transversely isotropic, pyroelectric material. A comparative study between the solutions of (a) classical thermoelasticity, (b) Cattaneo–Lord–Shulman theory and (c) Green–Lindsay theory equations, characterised by none, one and two relaxation times, respectively, is presented. Suitable boundary conditions are considered in order to determine the reflection coefficients when incident elasto–electro–thermal waves impinge the free interface. It is established that, in the quasi-electrostatic approximation, three different classes of waves: (1) two principally elastic waves, namely a quasi-longitudinal Primary (qP) wave and a quasi-transverse Secondary (qS) wave; and (2) a mainly thermal (qT) wave. The observed electrical effects are, on the other hand, a direct consequence of mechanical and thermal phenomena due to pyroelectric coupling. The computed reflection coefficients of plane qP waves are found to depend upon the angle of incidence, the elastic, electric and thermal parameters of the medium, as well as the thermal relaxation times. The special cases of normal and grazing incidence are also derived and discussed. Finally, the reflection coefficients are computed for cadmium selenide observing the influence of (1) the anisotropy of the material, (2) the electrical potential and (3) temperature variations and (4) the thermal relaxation times on the reflection coefficients
