    Can the X(3872) be a 1^{++} four-quark state?

    We use QCD spectral sum rules to test the nature of the meson X(3872), assumed to be an exotic four-quark (c\bar{c}q\bar{q}) state with J^{PC}=1^{++}. For definiteness, we work with the current proposed recently by Maiani et al [1], at leading order in \alpha_s, consider the contributions of higher dimension condensates and keep terms which are linear in the light quark mass m_q. We find M_X=(3925+- 127) MeV which is compatible, within the errors, with he experimental candidate X(3872), while the SU(3) breaking-terms lead to an unusual mass-splitting M_{X^{s}}-M_X=- (61+-30) MeV. The mass-difference between the neutral states due to isospin violation of about (2.6-3.9) MeV is much smaller than the value (8+-3) MeV proposed in [1]. For the b-quark, we predict M_{X_b}= (10144+-106) MeV for the X_b(b\bar{b}q \bar{q}), which is much below the {\bar B}B* threshold in contrast to the {\bar B}B* molecule prediction [2], and for the X_b^s(b\bar{b}s \bar{s}), a mass-splitting M_{X^s_{b}}-M_{X_b}=-(121+-182) MeV. Our analysis also indicates that the mass-splitting between the ground state and the radial excitation of about (225~250) MeV is much smaller than in the case of ordinary mesons and is (within the errors) flavour-independent. We also extract the decay constants, analogous to f_\pi, of such mesons, which are useful for further studies of their leptonic and hadronic decay widths. The uncertainties of our estimates are mainly due to the ones from the c and b quark masses.Comment: 16 pages, 10 figures. Version to appear in Phys. Rev.

    Penentuan Jumlah Mol Udara dalam Selinder dan Bola Menggunakan Hukum Boyle-mariotte

    Has done research on different container and the syringe bulb to determine the number of moles of air. If the gas or air is introduced into the syringe or bulb then the more air is forced into it. The analysis uses Boyle-Mariotte law shows that the number of moles of air in the syringe with constant temperature and number of moles of air at constant volume is a sphere with eqqual 0.02 mol. Thus two different media (cylindrical and spherical), giving the same number of moles. Obtaining the number of moles show that the application of Boyle-Mariotte is derived from the ideal gas law is appropriate

    Rancangbangun Lemari Pendingin Untuk Pengawetan Buah-Buahan Lokal

    Buah-buahan segar merupakan salah satu kebutuhan utama di dalam keluarga karena berperan penting pada nutrisi manusia, khususnya sebagai sumber vitamin (C, B6, A, thiamin, niacin), mineral, dan serat. Namun buah-buahan segar akan cepat mengalami penurunan mutu dan kesegarannya apabila tidak dilakukan perlakuan pendinginan sesuai dengan standar mutu produk buah-buahan. Observasi dan wawancara langsung dengan para pedagang buah di tempat pedagang buah eceran tempat mitra menjalankan USAhanya, para pedagang buah ini tidak memiliki lemari pendingin untuk mengawetkan buah-buahan sehingga hal ini dirasakan sebagai suatu kendala bagi mitra dalam menjalankan USAhanya. Bagi pedagang buah idealnya mereka harus memiliki lemari pendingin yang dapat menampung buah-buahan dengan suhu pendinginannya tidak boleh mencapai titik beku buah. Penyimpanan buah-buahan segar membutuhkan suhu yang optimum, yaitu di bawah suhu 15 oC dan di atas titik beku (umumnya 5–15 oC) untuk mempertahankan mutu dan kesegarannya. Hasil pengujian lemari pendingin hasil rancangbangun ini menunjukkan penurunan temperatur ruang pendingin yang dapat mencapai ± -6 oC dalam waktu pengujian 60 menit. Lemari pendingin ini memberikan koefisien performansi (COP) termodinamik sebesar 6,0 dan dengan kapasitas refrigerasi sebesar 300 W

    Pentaquark Decay in QCD Sum Rules

    In a diquark-diquark-antiquark picture of the pentaquark we study the decay ΘK+n\Theta \to K^{+} n within the framework of QCD sum rules. After evaluation of the relevant three-point function, we extract the coupling gΘnKg_{\Theta nK} which is directly related to the pentaquark width. Restricting the decay diagrams to those with color exchange between the meson-like and baryon-like clusters reduces the coupling constant by a factor of four. Whereas a small decay width might be possible for a positive parity pentaquark, it seems difficult to explain the measured width for a pentaquark with negative parity.Comment: 14pages, 5 eps figures. J/psi D*D* vertex from QCD sum rules

    Full text link
    We calculated the strong form factor and coupling constant for the J/ψDDJ/\psi D^* D^* vertex in a QCD sum rule calculation. We performed a double Borel sum rule for the three point correlation function of vertex considering both J/ψJ/\psi and DD^* mesons off--shell. The form factors obtained are very different, but they give the same coupling constant.Comment: 7 pages and 4 figures, replaced version accepted for publication in Phys. Lett.
