    The Luntian Multi-Purpose Cooperative located in Tiaong, Quezon, Philippines. The Luntian Multi-Purpose cooperative focuses more on feed production as well as hog fattening. The LMC applied the vertical integration to develop the cooperative. They have their members as their primary costumers of their feeds. The cooperative’s business activity includes also meat shop, granting of production loan, micro-finance, mobilization of saving deposits, aside from feed milling and hog fattening. Different agencies, industry organizations and private institutions provide trainings, seminars, assistance, as well as credit for the cooperative.The aims of the study was to determine the present and discuss a noteworthy business issue (s) of Luntian Multipurpose Cooperative, evaluate the business environment prevailing at a particular time of this case , assess the cooperative’s performance in terms of the four business functions , define the problem relevant to the business issue(s) being studied. The study used primary and secondary data. Primary data were gathered through interviews with the key personnel, managers, and other informants of the Luntian Multipurpose Cooperative in order to obtain responses regarding the overall status of the cooperative including its problem and plans. Secondary data were taken from files and documents, especially the history, background information and financial statements. Other data were taken through research materials such as book, unpublished special problems and from some government institutions. The recommendation of this research showed that Luntian MPC should engage in establishing a communal farm as to become the primary source of hybrid piglets that their members would raised.     Suatu operasi pemboran sumur minyak ataupun gas, diperlukan suatu sistem pemompaan yang bertujuan untuk menginjeksikan lumpur pemboran kedalam sumur. Lumpur pemboran merupakan faktor yang penting dalam pemboran. Dalam proses pemboran langsung, mata bor (bit) yang dipakai selalu menggerus batuan formasi dan menghasilkan serpihan pemboran (cutting), sehingga semakin dalam pemboran maka semakin banyak pula cutting yang dihasilkan. Agar tidak menumpuk dan menyebabkan drill collar terjepit, maka serpihan tersebut perlu diangkat ke permukaan dengan baik. Untuk itu diperlukan sebuah pompa yang mampu mensirkulasikan lumpur pemboran dari mud pit ke dalam sumur dan kembali ke mud pit. Perancangan pompa torak ini berdasarkan pada kedalaman sumur pemboran dan debit pemompaan yang dibutuhkan. Selajutnya ditentukan besarnya kerugian-kerugian sepanjang jalur sirkulasi fluida untuk mendapatkan daya minimum yang dibutuhkan pompa.     In Vitro Fertility of Post-thawed Epididymal Ram Spermatozoa After Storage at 5 °C Before Cryopreservation

    This study addressed the effects of storage duration of epididymides at 5 °C before sperm collection and their fertility after cryopreservation in vitro. Spermatozoa from one of the testes pairs were immediately collected, evaluated and frozen (control group). The remaining epididymides were cooled to 5 °C and stored for 24, 48, 72, and 96 h (experimental groups), after which spermatozoa were collected and frozen as in the control group. Before and after thawing, sperm motility, sperm viability and plasma membrane integrity were assessed. The fertilizing ability of frozen-thawed spermatozoa of each group was evaluated by in vitro fertilization of matured sheep oocytes. Sperm quality (sperm motility, viability, and plasma membrane integrity) at collection and after cryopreservation decreased as the duration of the epididymal storage interval increase (P < 0.05). The motility decreased steadily along the studied time periods. Although, the fertilizing ability of post-thawed epididymal spermatozoa gradually decreased as the storage period was prolonged, the spermatozoa collected from the cauda epididymides stored at 5 °C for up to 96 h were able to fertilize 16%-65% of oocytes in vitro. Results of the present study showed that ram epididymal spermatozoa survive in storage at 5 °C for up to 96 h. These spermatozoa maintain their fertilizing ability and may be suitable for use in IVF and other assisted reproductive procedures

    A new poling technique is presented, in which a series of five consecutive pulses of electric field, and with successively increasing strength is applied between the two electrodes of 65/35 VDF/TrFE copolymer based sensor. Between each pulse, the applied electric field is reduced to zero (short circuit). This allows deformations and space charges to be relax, resulting in more homogeneous electric field distribution with less risk for an electric breakdown.     Variasi Genetik Pada Kombinasi Uji Provenans Dan Uji Keturunan Araucaria Cunninghamii Di Bondowoso-Jawa Timur

    A progeny test of Araucaria cunninghamii seedling seed orchard was established in 2008 at Bondowoso, East Java. Eighty open-pollinated families collected from six seed sources (Fak-fak, Jayapura, Serui, Wamena, Manokwari and Queensland) were tested. The trial was designed as Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) comprised of 80 seedlots, 4 tree- line plots with 4 replications. The anitial spacing was 4 m x 2 m. The growth analysis at 5 years old was aimed to know performance of 6 seed sources.The result showed significant differences between families within seed source for both height and diameter growth. The average of height growth was 7,0 m and diameter was 5,1 cm. Indivual heritability estimates for height and diameter were 0.32 and 0.48 respectively while family heritability estimates for height and diameter wer 0.49 and 0.72 respectively. Genetic correlation between height and diameter was strong and positive (rg = 0.83)

Zambora dan membuat rancangan sistem aplikasi penjualan dan pemesanan produk berbasis web.Metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan adalah pengembangan sistem informasi RUP(Rational Unified Process), merupakan pendekatan pengembangan perangkat lunak yang dilakukan berulang ulang (iterative) ,fokus pada arsitektur (architecture-centric),lebih diarahkan berdasarkan penggunaan kasus (use case driven). RUP merupakan rekayasa perangkat lunak dengan pendefinisaian yang baik (well defined) dan penstrukturan yang baik (well structured). RUP memiliki empat buah tahap atau fase yang dapat dilakukan pula secara iteraktif yaitu inception, elaboration, Construction dan Transition. Hasil dari pembuatan aplikasi penjualan dan pemesanan produk diharapkan dapat memberikan kemudahan bagi perusahaan dalam melakukan penjualan dan pemesanan produk yang ada pada CV.     Ovarian Dynamic in Ongole Grade Cattle After GnRH Injection in Ovsynch Protocol Based on Progesterone Device

    PO cattle have weaknesses to show clear estrus signs which cause difficulty in artificial insemination implementation. The present study was designed to obtain ovarian dynamic as effect of GnRH injection in ovsynch protocol based on progesterone intravaginal device. Heifers (18) and cows (n= 12) were allocated to one of three groups. Cuemate-PGF2α (CP) group inserted with a Cuemate on day 0-7 and injected with prostaglandin on day 7. Cuemate-PGF2α-GnRH (CPG) group was treated as CP group with the addition of GnRH injection on day 9. GnRH-Cuemate-PGF2α-GnRH (GCPG) group was treated as CPG group with addition of GnRH injection on day 0. Ultrasonography was performed on days 0-3, day 7 until ovulation and 7 days after ovulation. Percentage of ovulation synchronization increased significantly (P<0.01) between CP, CPG, and GCPG, respectively, both in heifers (16%, 50%, and 85%, respectively) and cows (0%, 60%, and 100%, respectively), on day 11. Preovulatory follicle diameters between CP, CPG, and GCPG treatments were not different significantly both in heifers (11.9±0.5, 11.9±0.5, and 12.1±0.6 mm, respectively) and cows (11.7±0.4, 11.8±0.7, and 11.1±0.6 mm, respectively). This study concluded that GCPG protocol increased the synchrony of ovulation rate both in cows and heifers, without affecting the follicle preovulatory and CL diameters

    KRIOPRESERVASI SPERMATOZOA EPIDIDIMIS DOMBA MENGGUNAKAN PENGENCER BERBASIS LESITIN [Cryopreservation of Ram Epididymal Spermatozoa Using Lecithin-Based Extender]

    ABSTRAK AndroMed merupakan pengencer semen komersial berisi bahan kimia yang komplit namun tidak mengandung kuning telur, sehingga diharapkan tidak ada kontaminasi mikroorganisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji kualitas spermatozoa epididimis domba yang dibekukan dengan pengencer Tris dan AndroMed. Spermatozoa diencerkan dengan perlakuan pengencer sebagai berikut: pengencer Tris (Tris), 15% AndroMed + 85% akuabidestilata (AM15), 20% AndroMed + 80% akuabidestilata (AM20), dan 25% AndroMed + 75% akuabidestilata (AM25). Kualitas spermatozoa yang diamati terdiri atas: konsentrasi spermatozoa, persentase spermatozoa motil, spermatozoa hidup, abnormalitas, butiran sitoplasma, dan membran plasma utuh (MPU). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata konsentrasi spermatozoa, persentase spermatozoa motil, spermatozoa hidup, abnormalitas, butiran sitoplasma, dan MPU spermatozoa segar adalah masing-masing: 11.660 juta/ml, 65%, 81%, 7,6%, 10,2%, dan 82,2%. Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang nyata antarperlakuan terhadap persentase spermatozoa motil, spermatozoa hidup, dan MPU pada tahap setelah pengenceran dan ekuilibrasi. Pada tahap setelah thawing, rata-rata persentase spermatozoa motil, spermatozoa hidup, dan MPU dari perlakuan AM20 dan Tris secara nyata (P<0,05) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan AM15 dan AM25. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengencer semen komersial AndroMed dan Tris memiliki kemampuan yang sama dalam melindungi spermatozoa domba pada proses pembekuan semen. Konsentrasi 20% AndroMed merupakan dosis optimum dalam proses pembekuan spermatozoa epididimis domba. Kata kunci: spermatozoa epididimis domba, kriopreservasi, Tris, AndroMed ABSTRACT The AndroMed is a semen extender made from a completely mixed ingredients without egg yolk, therefore the AndroMed is microorganism-free extender. The purpose of this research was to examine the quality of frozen-thawed ram epididymal spermotozoa cryopreserving with Tris and AndroMed extenders. The spermotozoa was diluted with Tris extender (Tris), 15% AndroMed + 85% distilled water (AM15), 20% AndroMed + 80% distilled water (AM20), and 25% AndroMed + 75% distilled water (AM25), respectively. The quality of collected spermatozoa were concentration, percentages of motile, liveability, abnormality, cytoplasmic droplet, and intact plasma membrane (IPM) spermatozoa. The results showed that mean concentration, percentages of motile, liveability, abnormality, cytoplasmic droplet, and IPM of fresh spermatozoa were 11,660 million/ml, 65%, 81%, 7.6%, 10.2%, and 82.2%, respectively. There were no significant differences in percentages of motile, live, and IPM spermatozoa between treatments after dilution and equilibration stages. The mean percentages of post thawing motile, liveability, and IPM spermatozoa of AM20 and Tris were higher (P<0.05) than AM15 and AM25. The AndroMed and Tris extenders had the same ability to protect spermatozoa in cryopreservation process.
