Automatic selection of a subset size at vector fields construction

An algorithm for selection of the size of a correlation kernel at displacement vector field construction by the method of digital image correlation has been proposed. The algorithm has been tested on simulated and experimental optical images having different texture. The influence of the correlation kernel size and image texture on nose immunity at determining displacements has been studied. It is shown that the proposed algorithm allows to find this size providing the minimum error when determination of displacements and estimation of deformation

Comparative physical-tribological properties of anti-friction ion-plasma Ti-C-Mo-S coating on VT6 alloy or 20X13 and 40X steels

Results of comparative tests mechanical and tribological properties of solid antifriction Ti-C-Mo-S coating, deposited by magnetron-plasma combined sputtering method on substrates of VT6 titanium alloy, 40X and 20X13 hardened steels are provided. Coating is sputtered using the same conditions and technological regimes on substrates of different materials. However, the friction tests results showed significant difference in tribological characteristics of coating depending on type of material used for substrate, first of all by wear-resistance ability. Authors suppose that this is due to difference between physical properties such as composition and structure of substrate materials that determines hardness and coating adhesion to surface

Development problem analysis of correlation leak detector's software

In the article, the practical application and the structure of the correlation leak detectors' software is studied and the task of its designing is analyzed. In the first part of the research paper, the expediency of the facilities development of correlation leak detectors for the following operating efficiency of public utilities exploitation is shown. The analysis of the functional structure of correlation leak detectors is conducted and its program software tasks are defined. In the second part of the research paper some development steps of the software package - requirement forming, program structure definition and software concept creation - are examined in the context of the usage experience of the hardware-software prototype of correlation leak detector
