The formation of the concept "Human security" in the context of modernity
In today's dynamic world people are realizing their interests and capacities, are often exposed to risks, threats and hazards of natural, technogenic and social character. A lot of their produces and provokes herself. Therefore, the ability to see all aspects of the environment, to prevent the aggressive action of external factors, the destructive consequences of their behavior in environmental systems and social environments is essential to the well — being and health of society
Creating a Business Value while Transforming Data Assets using Machine Learning
Machine learning enables computers to learn from large amounts of data without specific programming. Besides its commercial application, companies are starting to recognize machine learning importance and possibilities in order to transform their data assets into business value. This study explores integration of machine learning into business core processes, while enabling predictive analytics that can increase business values and provide competitive advantage. It proposes machine learning algorithm based on regression analysis for a business solution in large enterprise company in Macedonia, while predicting real-value outcome from a given array of business inputs. The results show that most of the machine learning predictive values for the desired process output deviated from 0 to 15% of actual employees' decision. Hence, it verifies the appropriateness of the chosen approach, with predictive accuracy that can be meaningful in practice. As a machine learning case study in business context, it contains valuable information that can help companies understand the significance of machine learning for enterprise computing. It also points out some potential pitfalls of machine learning misuse
Tagging High Energy Photons in the H1 Detector at HERA
Measures taken to extend the acceptance of the H1 detector at HERA for
photoproduction events are described. These will enable the measurement of
electrons scattered in events in the high y range 0.85 < y < 0.95 in the 1998
and 1999 HERA run period. The improvement is achieved by the installation of an
electromagnetic calorimeter, the ET8, in the HERA tunnel close to the electron
beam line 8 m downstream of the H1 interaction point in the electron direction.
The ET8 will allow the study of tagged gamma p interactions at centre-of-mass
energies significantly higher than those previously attainable. The calorimeter
design and expected performance are discussed, as are results obtained using a
prototype placed as close as possible to the position of the ET8 during the
1996 and 1997 HERA running.Comment: 13 pages, 13 figure
A New High Energy Photon Tagger for the H1 - Detector at HERA
The H1 detector at HERA has been upgraded by the addition of a new
electromagnetic calorimeter. This is installed in the HERA tunnel close to the
electron beam line at a position 8m from the interaction point in the electron
beam direction. The new calorimeter extends the acceptance for tagged
photoproduction events to the high y range, 0.85 < y < 0.95, and thus
significantly improves the capability of H1 to study high energy gamma-p
processes. The calorimeter design, performance and first results obtained
during the 1996-1999 HERA running are described.Comment: 17 pages, 16 figure
A study on the kaolin deposits of belarus with a purpose for their use for the manufactureof ceramic tiles of various functions
The article presents the results of the complex study of the physical, chemical and technological properties of the primary caolins from the «Sitnica» and «Dedovka» deposits enriched with the method of clarification. It has been stated that caolins having a particular degree of quality can be used for the production of ceramic tiles of various functions. The compositions of the masses for obtaining tiles for the internal lining of walls and for floors are recommended with partial replacement of the imported refractory clay and caolins for caolins from the «Sitnica» and «Dedovka» deposits with the correction of the quantity ofquartz-containing raw material
Housing facilities and housing and communal services are one of the largest consumers of energy resources in Ukraine, also in this sector concentrated the greatest potential energy saving. The reason for the introduction of energy efficiency measures is an energy audit of the building. According to DSTU B V.2.2 -39: 2016 main characteristic of the building is energy needed to meet the demand for heating, hot water, air conditioning, ventilation and lighting. The same house as subscriber District Heating System characterized by maximum thermal power according DSTU V.2.5-39-2008. Defining these values are regulated by different regulations, using different approaches. Each approach has its advantages and disadvantages but between them is no formal relationship that would allow the coordinated use of these values.Жилой фонд и жилищно-коммунальное хозяйство являются одним из крупнейших потребителей энергетических ресурсов в Украине, также в этом секторе сосредоточено наибольший потенциал энергосбережения. A Search for Selectrons and Squarks at HERA
Data from electron-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 300 GeV
are used for a search for selectrons and squarks within the framework of the
minimal supersymmetric model. The decays of selectrons and squarks into the
lightest supersymmetric particle lead to final states with an electron and
hadrons accompanied by large missing energy and transverse momentum. No signal
is found and new bounds on the existence of these particles are derived. At 95%
confidence level the excluded region extends to 65 GeV for selectron and squark
masses, and to 40 GeV for the mass of the lightest supersymmetric particle.Comment: 13 pages, latex, 6 Figure
Forward pi^0 Production and Associated Transverse Energy Flow in Deep-Inelastic Scattering at HERA
Deep-inelastic positron-proton interactions at low values of Bjorken-x down
to x \approx 4.10^-5 which give rise to high transverse momentum pi^0 mesons
are studied with the H1 experiment at HERA. The inclusive cross section for
pi^0 mesons produced at small angles with respect to the proton remnant (the
forward region) is presented as a function of the transverse momentum and
energy of the pi^0 and of the four-momentum transfer Q^2 and Bjorken-x.
Measurements are also presented of the transverse energy flow in events
containing a forward pi^0 meson. Hadronic final state calculations based on QCD
models implementing different parton evolution schemes are confronted with the
data.Comment: 27 pages, 8 figures and 3 table
Differential (2+1) Jet Event Rates and Determination of alpha_s in Deep Inelastic Scattering at HERA
Events with a (2+1) jet topology in deep-inelastic scattering at HERA are
studied in the kinematic range 200 < Q^2< 10,000 GeV^2. The rate of (2+1) jet
events has been determined with the modified JADE jet algorithm as a function
of the jet resolution parameter and is compared with the predictions of Monte
Carlo models. In addition, the event rate is corrected for both hadronization
and detector effects and is compared with next-to-leading order QCD
calculations. A value of the strong coupling constant of alpha_s(M_Z^2)=
0.118+- 0.002 (stat.)^(+0.007)_(-0.008) (syst.)^(+0.007)_(-0.006) (theory) is
extracted. The systematic error includes uncertainties in the calorimeter
energy calibration, in the description of the data by current Monte Carlo
models, and in the knowledge of the parton densities. The theoretical error is
dominated by the renormalization scale ambiguity.Comment: 25 pages, 6 figures, 3 tables, submitted to Eur. Phys.
