In this work, we recruited CD105 and CD90 markers to identify the endometrial stem cells (EnSCs) in the human uterine endometrium. Fifty endometrial specimens have been extracted from twenty-five deceased women. All specimens have been embedded in paraffin block and prepared for immune-histochemical processing. The expression of CD105 and CD90 was counted per high power field (HPF). Paired sample t-test was used to compare the means between groups and age variables. The Statistical analysis was conducted using “SPSS16 software" The statistical significance was considered at less than 0.05. Results of paired sample t-test showed that the expression count (EC) at the Basalis layer (with CD105) was 5.26 points higher than the Functionalis layer (95% CI [3.43, 7.09]) and the correlation was strongly and positively related (r = 0.829, P < 0.001). The EC at Basalis layer (with CD90) was 4.96 points higher than Functionalis layer (95% CI [3.02, 6.89]) and the correlation was strongly and positively related (r = 0.746, P= < 0.001). The EC at Functionalis layer (with CD105) was 0.9 points higher than the Stroma layer (95% CI [2.27, 4.11]); however, the correlation was weak and positively related (r = 0.429, P = 0.032). The EC at Functionalis layer (with CD90) was 1.4 points higher than the Stroma layer (95% CI [2.1, 4.2]), but the correlation was moderately and positively related r = 0.547, P = 0.005). Findings of an independent-sample t-test showed that the EC of stem cells at the Functionalis, Basalis, and Stroma layers (with CD105 and CD90 markers) was more among patients of reproductive age (<50 years) than patients who were at non-reproductive age (50 years and above), a statistically significant difference [(m = 9.6, 95% CI (5.3, 14.6), t (19.630) = 4.413, P  < 0.001)], [(m = 10.2, 95% CI (5.2, 15.2), t (20.714) = 4.202, P  < 0.001)] and [(m = 8.4, 95% CI (3.5, 13.4), t (12.313) = 3.523, P  = 0.002)], respectively. In conclusion, the EC of the stem cells in the endometrium decreases with age

    Get PDF
This paper adopted a thermal network method (TNM) based on  Motor-CAD software, and Matlab/SIMULINK, with finite element method (FEM) based on Flux2D software to perform a thermal analysis of a totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC), squirrel cage, three-phase induction motor. The thermal analysis is achieved based on a precise knowledge of the test motor geometry, materials, and heat sources (losses). The estimation of heat distribution inside the test motor by this three software is done successfully with a good agreement between its results. The proposed triple-software methodology for this work can be adopted from the motor designer instead of using an experimental test based on a real motor

Purpose: The question of whether to make or acquire something is a crucial conundrum that many companies must solve. A crucial step in the operation of a business is determining whether it is more cost effective to develop and manufacture components or services in-house or to purchase them from outside vendors. In order to provide managers in the General Company for Electrical and Electronic industries (GCEEI) in Iraq with assistance in evaluating sourcing choices, the purpose of this study is to address this subject by bringing the conventional make-or-buy literature up to date by adding fresh academic insights.   Theoretical framework: the most prominent ideas and methods for deciding whether to produce something oneself or purchase it are explored, along with a literature analysis of relevant material. The phrases "make-or-buy" and "insourcing" and "outsourcing" were used to search for relevant articles in scholarly databases.   Design/methodology/approach: We analyzed the data for the year (2022) that is collected through visits and meetings with the Managers, in the (GCEEI) by using two approaches: a. economic analysis and b. break-even analysis to help managers evaluate sourcing decisions.   Findings: According break-even analysis for this case, the quantity should be manufactured is more than 4000 Unit so that the manufacturing costs are more than the purchase costs, then the company should go for buy if less than 4000 Unit. According to the results of the economic analysis, the manufacturing decision is the best in the three models because manufacturing costs are lower than purchasing cost.   Research, Practical & Social implications: The findings recommend forming interdisciplinary teams consisting of professionals from many fields (buyers, R&D staff, quality representatives, etc.) to prevent making make-or-buy judgments under circumstances of faulty and inadequate data.   Originality/value: Both professional and unskilled workers contribute to the company's success, and when decision-making and procurement become routine, a company's long-tenured employees may ease the burden of these recurring tasks.

Background : Leukaemia patients have excessively high WBC counts in their bone marrow and blood. Symptoms of aberrant cells caused by bone marrow loss (i.e.: anaemia, neutropenia and thrombocytopenia). Infiltration (b) (e.g. liver, spleen, lymph nodes, brain, skin or testes). Aerobic organisms have a well-known antioxidant defence system. Oxidative stress causes several biochemical changes and is linked to many chronic diseases such as atherosclerosis, cardiovascular disease, mutagenesis, and cancer In mammalian cells. Recently, free radicals, particularly oxygen radicals, have been linked to the multistep carcinogenesis process. Several antioxidants have been found to prevent neoplastic.  Aim of thesis:  In this project will be to investigate the activity of antioxidant enzymes including: superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase (CAT) in leukemic patients, in  Iraqi patients. Material and methods: Our research participants through the utilization of study participants at the National Center for Hematology ,Ramadi- Teaching Hospital. Patients between the ages of 13 and 72 with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) were enrolled in the study. there are three main divisions: Group A (GA):  acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) 50 Group B (GB):  acute myeloid leukemia (AML) 50 Group C (GC):  healthy control groups 50 (Controls group)  The control group consisted of thirty-four adults ranging in age from 19 to 59, all of whom looked to be volunteers. They were divided into two groups: the experimental group and the control group. No one had any clinical or laboratory evidence that could have an impact on the parameters that were going to be evaluated. Results : The study included the determination of the antioxidants levels  . and relationship between enzymatic correlation with leukemia patients. Patients had higher SOD activity than healthy controls (p 0.001) for ALL and AML.  The total serum catalase activity of AML and ALL patients was considerably lower than that of healthy controls (P<0.01).  The AML and ALL mean levels have grown considerably (p<0.001) for both ALL and AML had high amounts of ceruloplasmin. Conclustions : Serum SOD activity rises significantly in both types of acute leukemia. Oxidative  stress may be a contributing factor. On the other hand, differences between AML and ALL may be related to the severity of the disease. Probably around 65 years of age

    The Qur'anic Purposes of Sheikh Abdul Rahman Hassan Habanka Al-Maidani in his Interpretation of Ma'arig al-Tafakkur wa-Daqa'iq al-Tadabbur ``Surat Al-Asr, Al-Adiyat, Al-Kawthar and Al-Takathur as a model"

This research aims to elicit Quranic purposes from the field interpretation of Sheikh Abdul Rahman Hasaan Habanka Al-Maidani by studying Surat Al-Asr, Al-Adiyat, Al-Kawthar, and Al-Takathur as a model. The knowledge of the purposes of the surahs leads to the realization of some of the notable purposes of the revelation of the Quran, the consideration of its phrases, words, and purposes, the statement of what Allah the almighty wants in it, and what its surahs and verses are guided to in a way that achieves understanding and action. Also, a statement that the number of the purposes of the surah does not depend on the number of its verses, there are several verses in common. In one objective, there is one verse in which there is more than one objective, so the Qur'anic objectives are inseparable from interpretation, since the Quran is the main source for defining the overall objectives, and from it deduced many ruling and partial ills, and it enables the interpreter to derive the rulings and wisdom of the Qur'an. The Noble Qur'an, considering the purposes of the surahs, is considered the safest approach, which makes the words of Allah the almighty orderly in a manner in which the perfection of its system, the coherence of its surahs, the consistency of its verses, and the statement of its inimitability and eloquence become evident. Keywords: Qur'anic purposes, interpretation, interpreter

Purpose: This research seeks to measure the possibility of applying People Standards (enabling factors) and people results in Standard (results) in the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI), by the EFQM Excellence Model.   Theoretical framework: The purpose of applying the EFQM Excellence Model standard in this investigation is to present a self-evaluation framework, allowing strength determination for each organization and establishing those areas where additional enhancements need to be made. Many recommendations are found in the literature concerning the application of the EFQM Excellence Model standard to identify and resolve issues and problem areas within organizational management.   Design/methodology/approach: We analysed the data for the year (2021) checklist that is collected through visits and meetings with the Total Quality Management Department in the bank, where the bank is working to implement standards for evaluating institutional performance in the bank’s departments, in accordance with international standards and experiences, including the (EFQM) model, and is also working to develop standards for evaluating individual performance.   Findings: The volume of research has been increasing over the past nineteen years, although there are only a few authors, institutions and reference journals contributing to the topic’s consolidation and the countries conducting the most joint research in co-authoring EFQM for the largest volume of publications, authors and impact journals.   Research, Practical & Social implications:  We used the suggested model to evaluate people's performance and to investigate the existing gaps between the desired and current situation of human resources within the Central Bank of Iraq. Within the People axis, two of the derived scores met EFQM standards as very excellent. Researchers found that the People Results axis had the lowest score, which indicates that the distance between these regions and the ideal condition is considerable.   Originality/value:  The results confirm the People Standard who got (86%) to be superior to that of the People results Standard who got (36%). The People Standard will contribute in the same way to improving people results; therefore, a balanced approach to developing the people results criterion will allow for the CBI to achieve the best competitive advantage from the EFQM Excellence Model

: In this study, the Organic Perovskite solar cells have been of great interest due to their low cost and great efficiency. The perovskite materials have huge charge carrier mobility with greater stability than organic materials, metal oxides have shown great promise. In this research, because of its improved performance, we used PCBM represent as Electron Transport layer-ETL, NiO is Hole Transport Material (HTM), and CH3NH3PbI3 as an absorber. His work is concerned with the design and analysis of lead-based perovskite solar cell model with the versatile FTO/PCBM/CH3NH3PbI3/NiO/Pt architecture. Via system simulation, we researched the effects of some parameters on the performance of the solar cell device. Solar cell efficiency was found to be related to the perovskite and PCBM layer thicknesses. The tunable performance of organic perovskite solar cells with the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 47.49% was reached when a defect of CH3NH3PbI3was 1 × 10^10 cm−3, short circuit current density (Jsc) 46.214 mA/cm2, open-circuit voltage (Voc) 1.397 V, fill factor(FF) 73.52% respectively. These results showed the perovskits solar cell was the best optimal for perovskite solar cells with high stability and efficiency

Background: Non-obstructive Azoospermia (NOA) mean absence of sperm in the ejaculate due to testicular failure. The sole treatment till now for them is testicular sperm retrieval and ICSI. There is no single test can predict precisely the presence of sperm in testicular the testis. Several studies around the world hypothesized that testicular hormone especially inhibin B can make decision about the sperm retrieval. The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of serum inhibin B level in non-obstructive azoospermia as predictor for sperm retrieval by using testicular sperm extraction (TESE). Methods: This cross-sectional study carried out on 188 men with non-obstructive azoospermia. A detailed medical history, physical examination, age, duration of infertility and BMI was recorded. Men with obstructive azoospermia are excluded from the study. About 5 ml of venous blood taken from them to measure serum inhibin B, FSH, LH, Prolactin and Testosterone before doing testicular sperm retrieval. Results: From the studied sample, (45.7%) were positive testicular sperm retrieval, while (54.3%) were negative sperm retrieval. the median level of INHB for the positive TESE was (54.7pg/ml) which is significantly higher than that for TESE negative (24pg/ml). With representation of INHB values on ROC curve, the sensitivity was 70.9% and specificity was 50% with cutoff 24 pg/ml. Conclusion: Inhibin B is significantly higher in TESE positive patients but with not far enough sensitivity and specificity to predict the presence of sperm
