Le problème de la philosophie islamique

    Get PDF
This paper contains some examples taken from the Muslim philosophical output which aim to explain the extent to which we can talk about Muslim philosophy. This question assumes a particular position before philosophy. The exercise of philosophical reason practised by Muslim authors shows a task that is able to answer to the faithreason dialectics and that, as Christians and Jews, entails a big effort and an intellectual challenge

THERMODYNAMIC MODELING OF THE SURFACE LAYER STRUCTURE ON INCONEL 600 OXIDIZED IN A CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE

    Get PDF
Samples of Inconel 600 were isothermally oxidized in a controlled atmosphere with a special mounting at high-temperature oxidation. Along with this experimental study, a simulation of thermodynamic behavior of the material in the same oxidation conditions was carried out using the Thermo-Calc code. The thermodynamic modeling is able to predict the phase nature and its distribution in the structure of the surface layer resulting from the corrosion of the material in thermodynamic equilibrium in the absence of mechanical stress. The results of this simulation are supplemented to results obtained from the analysis by glow discharge spectrometry (GDS) which is performed on the samples tested

    A Self-adaptive Agent-based System for Cloud Platforms

Cloud computing is a model for enabling on-demand network access to a shared pool of computing resources, that can be dynamically allocated and released with minimal effort. However, this task can be complex in highly dynamic environments with various resources to allocate for an increasing number of different users requirements. In this work, we propose a Cloud architecture based on a multi-agent system exhibiting a self-adaptive behavior to address the dynamic resource allocation. This self-adaptive system follows a MAPE-K approach to reason and act, according to QoS, Cloud service information, and propagated run-time information, to detect QoS degradation and make better resource allocation decisions. We validate our proposed Cloud architecture by simulation. Results show that it can properly allocate resources to reduce energy consumption, while satisfying the users demanded QoS

Effects of hesperidin on formaldehyde-induced toxicity in pregnant rats

This experimental study aimed to investigate the protective effect of a bioflavonoid, hesperidin (HP), on formal- dehyde (FA)-related pathophysiological and behavioral outcomes in pregnant rats and developmental aspects in their offspring. Female Wistar rats were subjected to perigestational exposure to FA (2 mg/kg/day per os) with a concomitant treatment with HP (50 mg/kg/day per os). Pregnant rats were weighed throughout gestation and tested in two behavioral paradigms (elevated plus-maze and open field) at gestational days (GD) 1, 10 and 19 to evaluate the anxiety-like behavior and locomotive alterations. Another subset of rats was decapitated at GD19 to determine the hematological profile along with cortisol, 17β-estradiol, and progesterone plasma levels. Reproductive and fetal measures and observations were also performed to check for developmental deformities. Significant body weight loss, hemato-immune decline, hormonal changes, anxiety and lethargy signs, locomotor disabilities, repro- ductive failure and fetal weight decrease were observed in FA-exposed rats. Treatment with HP alleviated the reproductive and fetal weight defects. Its behavioral benefits were only seen at GD1 and 10. This flavanone ame- liorated some hematological parameters, decreased cortisol levels and increased 17β-estradiol rates. A potential preventive impact of HP was found against FA toxicity in pregnant rats

Robust stability power in the transmission line with the use of a UPFC system and neural controllers based adaptive control

    Get PDF
The main purpose of this paper is to design a regulator which enables a power system to track reference signals precisely and to be robust in the presence of uncertainty of system parameters and disturbances. The performances of the proposed controllers (NEWELM and NIMC) are based neural adaptive control and simulated on a two-bus test system and compared with a conventional PI controller with decoupling (PI-D). The studies are performed based on well known software package MATLAB/Simulink tool box. Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System devices (FACTS) are power electronic components. Their fast response offers potential benefits for power system stability enhancement and allows utilities to operate their transmission systems even closer to their physical limitations, more efficiently, with improved reliability, greater stability and security than traditional mechanical switching technology. The most used component of FACTS systems is the Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC). According to high importance of power flow control in transmission lines, new controllers are designed based on the Elman Recurrent Neural Network (NEWELM) and Neural Inverse Model Control (NIMC) with adaptive control

Novel Analytical Model of Stress Concentration around Broken Fibers of Unidirectional Composite Plate

    Get PDF
During the fiber fracture of unidirectional composite a distribution of stress around the neighbored fibers happens, this mechanism is called the local redistribution efforts. Referring to the "shear lag" method, the researches wanted to predict the stress concentration in the surrounding area of broken fibers as well as the longitudinal resistance of the unidirectional composite which presents a fiber breaking. The goal of this paper is to develop a new probabilistic model of unidirectional composite plate to calculate the stress concentration at the broken fibers and their neighboring fiber intact. The "shear lag" method has been generalized to see the broken fibers interference on the stress concentration factor variation of surrounding sound fibers

Prediction of the temperature recorded in lap joint at during the friction stir welding

    Get PDF
The objective of the present work is the modelling of parameters influencing the temperature during friction stir lap welding. The area of physical understanding is the influence of the tool pin geometry and material on the temperature field, microstructural refinement, resulting material flow, and the influence of flow variations on the subsequent mechanical properties of FSW butt lap joints in aluminium 3003 Alloy. The results obtained allowed us to propose a mathematical model to study the interactions between different factors. Thus, it was shown that the most influential parameters are respectively the rotational speed and weld speed
