    Risk Analysis of Heavy Metal Weight Mercury in Sea Sediment in the Coastal Areas of Makassar City

    Monitoring of marine sediments as an indicator of heavy metal mercury pollution in waters has been conducted. This study used an observational design with an Environmental Risk Analysis approach with the objective of knowing the concentration of mercury (Hg) heavy metals and the risk of metal contamination in marine sediments. Sediment sampling was conducted at 10 points in 5 (five) urban villages of Makassar City. The results showed that the highest mercury concentration was in Cambayya Village at 1.871 mg / kg and the lowest mercury concentration was in Lae-Lae Island Kelurahan at 1,550 mg / kg. In general, the content of heavy metals mercury in marine sediments in coastal areas of Makassar City has exceeded the threshold of 0.13 mg / kg with the enormous environmental risk occurring in coastal areas of Makassar City due to exposure to mercury metals, ranging from 11-22 under the risk category high HQ> 10

    Regional Autonomy through Act No. 32 of 2004 on Regional Government does not just move the bulk of the authority of the Central Government to Local Government but Act No. 32 of 2004 should bring meaning to the welfare of the people in the area has not materialized.This study aims to describe and analyze the efforts made by the Government of Regency Kuantan Singingi in maintaining WTP opinion on the financial statements in 2012 and want to know the limiting factors in the financial management area Singingi Kuantan district. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive type. The process of data collection is done in the Regency Kuantan Singingi particularly in the Financial Section of the Secretariat of Regent Office Kuantan Singingi using interview techniques and documentation. From the results of the study be concluded that the efforts made by the Government of Kuantan District Singingi in Financial Management Year 2011-2012 is sufficient maximum.     Probing Cosmic Acceleration Beyond the Equation of State: Distinguishing between Dark Energy and Modified Gravity Models

    If general relativity is the correct theory of physics on large scales, then there is a differential equation that relates the Hubble expansion function, inferred from measurements of angular diameter distance and luminosity distance, to the growth rate of large scale structure. For a dark energy fluid without couplings or an unusual sound speed, deviations from this consistency relationship could be the signature of modified gravity on cosmological scales. We propose a procedure based on this consistency relation in order to distinguish between some dark energy models and modified gravity models. The procedure uses different combinations of cosmological observations and is able to find inconsistencies when present. As an example, we apply the procedure to a universe described by a recently proposed 5-dimensional modified gravity model. We show that this leads to an inconsistency within the dark energy parameter space detectable by future experiments.Comment: 8 pages, 7 figures; expanded paper; matches PRD accepted version; corrected growth rate formula; main results and conclusion unchange

    IDENTIFIKASI NYAMUK ANOPHELES SP DEWASA DI WILAYAH ENDEMIS DAN NON ENDEMIS MALARIA KECAMATAN BONTO BAHARI BULUKUMBA

    Malaria adalah suatu penyakit yang ditularkan oleh nyamuk (mosquito borner diseases). Data endemis dan non endemis malaria di Kecamatan Bontobahari terdiri dari 8 desa, terdapat sebanyak 5 desa endemis dan 3 desa non endemis malaria. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan spesies nyamuk Anopheles sp dewasa antara daerah endemis (Desa Tanah Lemo) dan non endemis (Desa Bira) di Kecamatan Bontobahari Kabupaten Bulukumba. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan melakukan survei entomologi. Populasi penelitian adalah vektor malaria yaitu semua nyamuk dewasa yang ada di lokasi penelitian. Sampel penelitian ini adalah nyamuk dewasa betina yang menggigit orang di dalam dan di luar rumah. dan tertangkap oleh kolektor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari hasil penangkapan didapatkan 131 ekor nyamuk Anopheles sp dewasa terbagi di desa endemis Tanah Lemo sebanyak 70 ekor yang terdiri dari 3 spesies yaitu An. barbirostris, An. subpictus dan An. Vagus dan di desa non endemis Bira sebanyak 61 ekor yang terdiri dari 3 spesies yaitu An. barbirostris, An. subpictus dan An. Vagus. Hasil pencidukan di breeding site ditemukan 3 spesies yaitu An. barbirostris, An. subpictus dan An. Vagus Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tidak ada perbedaan spesies nyamuk Anopheles sp dewasa di daerah endemis dan non endemis Kecamatan Bontobahari begitupun dengan yang ditemukan di breeding site tidak ada perbedaan spesies nyamuk Anopheles sp dewasa yang ditangkap di dua desa endemis dan non endemis dengan nyamuk yang ditemukan di breding site

    Behavior of biodegradable oil under impulse voltages

    The properties of Palm Oil (PO) and Coconut Oil (CO) offer the potential for transformers with non-toxicity, high fire and flash points and better environmental compatibility while compared with those filled with Mineral Oil (MO). This potential has led to intensive studies of electrical performance of biodegradable oil especially in evaluating the electrical performance under lightning impulse voltage in recent years. This paper presents the investigation on the impulse breakdown voltage of PO and CO in such a uniform field. The PO used in this study is Refined, Bleached and Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDPO) Olein type. Two testing methods, rising-voltage and up-and-down are considered for both oils with different gap distances (2.0 mm and 3.8 mm). Testing methods including rising-voltage method and up-and-down method have no notable influence on the breakdown voltages of RBDPOs and CO compared to MO.IntroductionThe majority of transformers in the power system network are oil filled type. The main functions of the oil used in a transformer are to act as electrical insulation, cooling medium and information carrier. Up to now, the main oil insulation used in a transformer is Mineral Oil (MO) since it is proven to be successfully applied in practice for many years. Natural and synthetic esters are considered as the alternative for conventional MO due to the high fire safety and environmental friendliness. Extensive studies were conducted looking into the chemical, physical and electrical properties of natural and synthetic esters [1-3]. Another possible alternative for ester based oils are Palm Oil (PO) and Coconut Oil (CO). PO is derived from palm kernel which can be further separated to produce Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Crude Palm Kernel Oil (CPKO) [4-5]. Further processing of CPO can produced Refined, Bleaching and Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDPO). The most common PO considered for transformers application is RBDPO. On the other hand, CO is extracted from kernel of matured coconut palm. The CO can be further processed to produce a neutralized, bleached and deodorized CO and is currently the type of oil investigated for the transformers’ application [6]. Transformer in service shall be exposed to voltages in excess of the normal operating voltage, such as transient overvoltage due to lightning impulse or switching impulse. Therefore the increasing interests among researchers press for comprehensive investigations on electrical performance of these liquids especially under impulse voltage [7]. This paper presents breakdown strengths of biodegradable oils (RBDPOs and CO) and MO in a uniform sphere-sphere electrode under impulse voltages. The influences of voltage polarities (positive and negative) and testing methods (rising-voltage and up-and-down) on the breakdown behavior are investigated

    Proses perceraian dengan salah satu pihak gaib ini, dibedakan dalam proses pemanggilan pihak gaib melalui mass media yang tidak secara langsung kepada pihak yang gaib, namun proses persidangannya tetap dilaksanakan sama dengan cerai pada umumnya. Dengan demikian penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses sidang cerai gaib dan implikasinya terhadap pihak berperkara di Pengadilan Agama. Tesis ini merupakan kajian pustaka, yaitu penelitian dengan melakukan telaah terhadap putusan cerai gaib yang telah berkekuatan hukum tetap di wilayah Pengadilan Agama Limboto. Menggunakan analisis kualitatif, dengan mengumpulkan data-data didalami, ditelaah, dikaji dan dipahami dengan cara dianalisis dan disimpulkan untuk mendapatkan keakuratan data yang diperoleh. Menggunakan pendekatan yuridis sosiologis yang berusaha untuk menemukan, mengungkap dan menggambarkan fenomena hukum yang terjadi dalam persidangan, pertimbangan majelis hakim dalam memutuskan perkara cerai gaib dan realitas yang terjadi dalam masyarakat khususnya dalam perkara cerai gaib. Melalui proses wawancara, studi dokumentasi, pengolahan dan analisis data.   Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan hal-hal yang terjadi dalam perceraian gaib, diantaranya keberadaan pihak yang digaibkan maupun dalam persidangan dan putusan cerai gaib yang telah berkekuatan hukum tetap, namun ada kelemahan dalam proses pembuktiannya dihadapan sidang, sehingga putusan hakim ini mampu memberikan implikasi kepada para pihak yang berperkara. Dengan demikian hal ini harus mendapatkan perhatian serius dari pemerintah dan aparat penegak hukum yang terkait untuk memperbaiki aturan yang telah ada demi masa depan anak bangsa, dan keteraturan proses pelaksanaan sistem peradilan agama, seharusnya ada aturan yang mengatur secara khusus tentang proses persidangan cerai gaib, yang dibedakan dengan proses cerai biasa. &nbsp
